I agree with Scotty about the importers - cos I am also waiting like him. I have just read all the replies here on the thread. Waiting for your car to get here from Japan is long enough, and to be told over and over again that it will be 'here soon' doesn't cut it. I think honestly and coming clean on all phases of the import process - even if it sometimes is bad news, it would make a lot of us a little less P**Sed off. ... looks like all of us know enough about the frustrations and the process of importing to start up our own businesses haha. at least we know what really annoys us about the process Good luck everyone with their cars!!!!

scorp - does the Dandenong Nissan still service your car properly when you have mods and all other stuff on it? Looks ok - How do they 'snap on'? have u got a pic of one on a seat? Will they be custom made to fit R33 seats perfectly, or are they just generic seat covers? Wat material are they made out of? Does it come with head covers?

ABS is not standard for S2. It is an option. Dual airbags are standard I believe.

I prefer the 1998 Skyline R33 "NG Style" Front Bar Lip better.

Is it really that low? Is it lower than the GTR front bar? How much would a group buy cost? Is it the genuine non-fibreglass type? Looks heaps cooler with that lower lip thingie

Its a rather crappy law now. haha i guess you could go over there, take the mods off (or get someone to do so there) and then container the whole lot over here. Does anyone know when they will be allowed to resume importing and compliancing cars again? It would be interesting to see what happens in the next 12-18 months.... then again, it might not be.

Hi guys As a person in the process still of getting my car under the import scheme (most probably one of the last to ever do so), I have been finding it at times a frustrating process. The car is always in the hands of the broker - you need to find out from them what is happening with it. So you will always get second hand information. The wait is terrible - I have not been waiting as longs as others who have been posting have, but even these last 2 months have been excruciating. Yeah, I hopefully would save a little (hope hope), but I kind of like to think that it is a 'journey' to go through the process, no matter how frustrating or how anxious you feel for it, if you end up importing yourself, it makes your ride all the more worthwhile.

so u reckon that 2 point immobs only uses single output? what u think about 3 point immobs then? u think they only use a single output point too? Tony - which remote start systems have 1st gear lockouts? What is that anyway? Will this prevent the car from being put into 1st gear when the car is off (hence preventing disaster when u try to look cool to the chicks and start the car and the car starts getting jiggy wit it)?

Hey so have any of u guys got remote start at all? Hell yeah everyone needs to idle or drive slowly to let the water and oil warm up, but I would like the idea of remote starting the car knowing that I would be going out in a sec, and then jumping in the car and then taking it easy for less time before it is completely warmed up.... before BOOOSTING

Hi ppls I know alarms is a very popular topic and all, and yes, I have done a search on the forum for alarms and read the posts about em, but I don't seem to find much mention of an alarm that offers: >= 3 immobilisation pts remote start ability to add aftermarket turbo timer Those are pretty much the only features (apart from the usual alarm stuff) that I am looking for - I heard Brandt may be able to pop a TT on, but some say there are problems - I know Cobra alarms allow TTs but no remote start - Boomerang has a remote start and TT, but no provisions for an aftermarket one, and apparently only 1 immob pt (WTF?) Can anyone help identify any alarms which provide those features? Thanks kW

I also reckon that you should be happy with wat u got - GTST are also really great cars - but don't pretend u got something u don't
