Upgrading brakes and clutch 4 R33 GTST
king_kw13 replied to king_kw13's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks for the opinions roy. I probably wouldn't venture on the track anyways, so I guess some of the performance improvements you experienced would not be felt on normal roads. U reckon there is any need for strut braces on the road? (or do they just look cool in the engine bay) -
I also prefer the S2 wing too Do ppl prefer the GTR or the S2 wing better?
-
Hi Guys I was just wondering if some or most of you guys who have R33 GTST have upgraded your clutch and brakes from the stock ones. Have most of you upgraded cos you have greatly increased boost/power and it is a requirement? Have you found them to be a great investment? Have you guys also upgraded your suspension too? Is it a good upgrade to consider or does the stock suspension work good enuff? Also what have you changed these parts to? Thanx Kev
-
Hey Al, thanx for being nice enuff to offer to include me in the group buy even tho I pulled out in the end.
-
I am interested if the day is in May, when my car is expected to arrive
-
Do most of u guys have S1 or S2 Lines? Just wonderin. Or have u guys all just got GTRs?
-
Congrats on a good decision. Well weighed-up. Yeah it woulda taken a lot of heartache and waiting to 1. Sell your car and 2. Get another car with similar specs to the one you already have.

Eeeek, stick with stock

I was quite poor whilst I was over there, so I could only afford a turbo timer and some other rice accessories. But yeah they are definitely cheaper over there. Try a Blitz DTT DCII for AUD$160 (or there abouts) -
np. I'll get my digi camera and send u a pic later

Oh yeah as for auto places, if you are in Tokyo, there is this big Autobarn-type place (but heaps more kickass) called Super Autobacs. It is in Shinonome. There are also places called 'Yellow Hat' (don't ask me why they name an auto shop after a hat). The one I went to was in Meguro also in Tokyo. -

I went to Japan to check out the car I had bought on Auction here in Oz .... but it was already at the docks so I couldn't see it To access the auction yards, you need to be something like a licensed buyer to be able to access them. Apparently, there are like buses within the auction yards to take you around the different lots. U need to go where u are going, or else u will get lost!!! I guess if you are with a buyer, you should be able to get in and check out all the cars there. -
