What sort of price is it going to be for the day? is there going to be any scrutineering regulations? Or is just a turn up and have some fun day? I'm still considering if i'll be able to come out. I might have some work commitments, but a mate of mine is very keen.

But doesn't he do that well Phat. It's pimp my ride with a GMB.

Thanks for the input everyone. After reading up on the site and talking to a few people. I've going to get some. I think they'll do what i want them too. Thanks again. TimmyB

Don't know if anyone has seen these, but Autobarn have some Whiteline springs for sale and i'm thinking about gettting some. Should lower the car by about 40mm, and stiffen it up a bit. Has anyone heard anything about them before? Has anyone ever used them? Cheers, Timmy

yeah it's something that i'm going to have to do really soon. Do you know of any good spray paints that wont just burn off really quick. I don't really want to be having to do it on a regular basis????? Thanks.

Well thanks boys. I don't know about the gain, but it sure it handling nicer. It's smoother and feels alot lighter. I'm happy with the way they've turned out.

Hey brods, I had this very problem about a week ago. I did some searching and found that it's a rather common problem when the dash unit is taken out. Did it completely brake off or is it repairable? I had some cracks in the spring end and it wouldn't grab the speedo cable and turn. I found that many people just glue this up and tape it. I used some good thin tape around it, and but everything back in. It works like a treat, (touch wood). maybe this could be an option for you??

R32 skyline, WRX parts and car audio

Hey dude, PM sent about the Climate control panel. -
Mate as you probably know, i went through Just Cars and got Third party fire and theft. It was half the price of the full comprehensive which was a little more affordable. But i was still surprised to see that for the same car that was non turbo was almost the same as the turbo. I think i was looking about 1200 for the full comprehensive.

I'll be having to get the camera out if your driving GMB. Might even get yours and take some pics for ya. I'll expect you to wave as you drift round the sweeper. :headspin:

mate, i think it would be worth teeing up being there and catching up. It's been a while since we last caught up. I'm sure it should be a good watch.

So is she going to be ready for the comp??? Any you guys from up north heading down for the baskerville event? I'm probably going to head out for a look thats for sure.
-
hey guys, i've just been reading through some of the threads, and saw the drift comp coming up. Should be a good show. Anyone planning on going in it or taking up on the chance to get out on the track and put it sideways legally????? :headspin:

Hey guys, Has anyone ever had a problem with their air con? in my R32 i had to get the air con re-gassed and it works fine when it's right. But every now and then, it just goes nuts and starts blowing out really hot air no matter what the temp says, just hot. The only thing i can do is turn it off. anyone have any ideas about what it might be?? I'm thinking it's something to do with the climate control box in the dash. It's a bit dodgey and the LCD screen does fade in and out. Any suggestions would be helpful. Cheers, Timmy

hey brods, i was talking to GMB last night and he mentioned that you had someone that needed some rims. My car came in the same state and i'm wanting to get new rims for it. I'm currently looking for new rims to buy, and then would want to sell my old ones. If your friend is interested, we might be able to work something out. Depends on how soon he wants them. I'm in Hobart, so at least freight would be cheap. Let me know if your interested.

Ok are the cars that you and Pred are talking about 2 door or 4 door 32's and did they have power windows or normal windows cause i have been looking at it more and more and i believe the doors could be different depths between the 2 and 4 door models as well as clearance's with the power window's mech and the normal manaul window channel?

i think i'd have to go for the front mount. There sounds like there would be a better performance from it. I'm sure there must be somewhere that it isn't too hard to mount. Plus it can look pretty tough. But thats beside the point. What size exhaust would be good to put on??? I wouldn't want anything too big.
-
oh right. Well i recon that could be a little project work for me to do further down the track. I'll be looking to make sure it's running alright and smooth, and then i'll think about a few mods, i think exhaust first. Then i'll look at an intercooler. would you think a larger intercooler would fit in the same location as the standard, or would it be best to go straight for a front mount??? I'd be pretty happy with 150 thats for sure.
-
Yeah i think that might be a way to go to start with .Just get a manual boost controller and go from there. I understand that there is no use spending a heap if it's not going to get the results or desired reaction. I think if i was to do anything, and intercooler and exhaust would be the first thing to be looked at. I already have a HKS pod on there, so don't need to go there, and then i might look at uping the boost. Would be alright i recon. Just a question man, what would a standard RB20DET make at the wheels???
-
Cool thanx man. A friend and i have been talking and it's like you say, a very deep expensive hole that you can fall in to, i'm not sure i want to fall in that hole. but i'll see how things go. i've also got a rather fast motorBike, so i might just keep the extreme speed for that. (on the track of course)
-
right i'm with ya. So by upgrading the intercooler it should reduce the preasure drop and make life for the turbo that little bit easier. I've been thinking about installing a single stage boost controller with just a flick switch down the track, and was wondering what would be a reasonable level to increase too. Thanks for that guys. Does anyone run any good boost controllers that are worth looking in too????
-
Right so by running 14psi, i wouldn't have to alter anything else on the engine? The fuel system would be able to keep up with no problems? So are you saying that by upgrading the intercooler i could say run 12psi and get the same result as running 14psi on the standard cooler?
-
can any body tell me, the max boost that can be run out of the standard turbo on an RB20DET engine (silver top)?????? Whould there be much increase if i was to upgrade the intercooler??? Thanks.

Well just for the record, my house is increasing in value and i doubt the car is.... So when are you going to get a car that is actually yours?? Always a bridesmaid never a bride.
