Just a few questions about the SR20DET black top engine 1996 and later models. 1) how many klms would one of these engines do before spitting the dumming? 250k? 300k? 2) how high can you safely set boost on the standard turbo with a good front mount and exhaust system? Do they use ceramic wheels or what? What make/model are they? 3) What is the best value turbo upgrade/hiflow option? I would like a reliable 15 PSI or there abouts. 4) Is the standard computer tunable for fuel/ignition timing? If not what is the best value aftermarket system? I have seen a PFC without hand controller for $1300 is that good, worth it? 5) Anyone know where I could get intercooler piping for front mount at a good price? Want the type that you cut a hole for near the water bottle and pass down there, rather than running it to the other side of the engine bay. 6) With boost set to around 12 PSI, front mount cooler, full exhaust, aftermarket air filter and cold air intake, HD clutch, what kind of power figures would you be looking at? Anything else you think is worth know about these engines would also be appreciated. Thanks

I must admit when I tried out the one in Jay51's car and then went back and tried the standard shifter in my car if felt pretty sloppy and crap. I was ready to rush out and buy a C's kit straight away but that requires money! Oh well...

Does the Apexi pod come with everything needed to install it on an R33 gtst? any brackets or fittings that may be required. If so I will take it. PM me.

not really I can give him cash immediately by direct deposit and it is not hard to wrap the shocks up in some bubble wrap, put em ina box and post em.

I had lowered springs on my R32 and they used to squeak horribly like you are describing, went to pedders and they gave me some of this rubber stuff to wrap around the top couple of coils on the springs and it stopped the squeaking completely.

I get around 350-400klms out of a tank commuting around Brisbane, even when I go for a good blast on the weekends will still get 300klms + from a tank. I am 22 and pay $1300 p/year for insurance through suncorp in Brisbane. Parts I have found are pretty cheap and easy to find, servicing is no more expensive than any other car. If you are looking for an R33 mine is for sale in Brisbane as well

S14 and S15 hubs would probably be more expensive anyway. I read that R32 ones will go straight on?

Doesn't sound too hard. I believe the S14 & S15 actually are 5 stud standard? Why the hell did they cheap out on the S13!! Damn them. I definately plan to upgrade the calipers at the same time, may as well. Then was thinking about trying to get some R33 GTR 17" wheels for it, I think they would look great on a 180SX. But I still have to sell my R33 and get a 180 before I can do anything like all of this!!
