Are you selling them? My PM to the previous owner was apparently only minutes after yours, hence you got them instead of me LOL I recently had my injectors out and cleaned, its a pig of a job, and time consuming.

Don't even consider entering into the property market without this - expect to pay around $600 Factor in the extras: land taxes, council rates, water, emergency services, insurance You can get some protection for vacancy with insurance Shop around if you are going to use an agent for rentals. (They have some advantages but it comes at a cost - $200 to $300 rental fee and 6-7% of the rent, and check for other fees such as inspections, bad tenants etc) Reading the first post its unclear if this will be one loan or 2 separate loans - always go for 2 separate loans so your rental is at arms length. Don't do anything to your new house until you have the rental ready, then claim expenses such as paint against the rental The obvious - don't rent to friends or family if you can help it. Its a rental, not your house so you don't need to be as fussy, (but don't become a slum son of rajab either.) Make sure you have clauses covering gardens and the standard of maintenance needed (assuming your gardens aren't too bad now, you may have to give a larger water allowance)

thanks Eddy I was going to do the same. Keep that blood in boys - no more blood noses, no cuts.

Insurance? Just take a cash settlement and buy a new car (I heard weet-bix give away 32's with every 3 packets purchased now - they are almost that cheap) If there are good bits on the car you could probably buy the wreck back cheap for the parts - if the parts arent listed in the policy you are entitled to get them back as long as you replace them with stock parts (eg. radio, ecu, turbo etc.) Time to upgrade to a 34 sedan (under 20k now i believe)

Fantastic. Can I collect them on the day. Are you heading down to Autosalon afterwards?

Just a reminder this is next weekend, Saturday 9th

Classic Adelaide Rally 2008 Cruise N Bbq
4door_Sleeper replied to Inline 6's topic in South Australia
If you have any problems with the location, I have a large block of land just outside of Inglewood (rally usually goes past, but I haven't checked the route this year) we could watch from. The advantage being we can kick off any bogans etc. Quick check - looks like it starts at the corner of my block on Saturday morning But I would also be keen for a cruise and watch the rally. -
I'd get a 34 GTR Nur, then do an RB20 conversion Add lots of Jap parts stickers on the front guards Add some 7' ROH Drift Tech rims with Bob Jane Aussie All-rounders (some 75 series 175 r15s) Keep the stock exhaust and add the biggest tipped canon I could find Paint the bonnet and boot black Remove the rear wing Add neons inside and out Replace the tail lights with chrome and LED items Replace the drivers seat with a quality Riccaro knock-off Add a 16' sub woofer and 3000PMS amp (in the boot and loose so it rattles) to the standard head unit Needs a wicked blow-off valve, real loud 7' tacho mounted on the dash with a 2' shift light (keep the car an Auto) Cover the interior in some cheap Hessian sack style seat covers Get some bolt (or rivet) on wheel flares Fill the passenger foot well with Farmers Union ice coffee cartons, and empty Winny Blue's If money is no iten a bonnet scoop would be cool

I split a coolant line from the turbo earlier this year (sounds similar) It was a prick of a thing to change, but can be done with rocker covers and plenum off. If that one has split the other hoses will probably be due a change as well. You can get silicone GTR hoses at a good price, but GTSt hose sets are OEM only.

I have a 2 tone silver and charcoal one (grand-dad enough for them LOL) It has one indicator in it and the other is around here somewhere. Some trimming at the back for my front-mount to fit, but front edge is OK. PS - happy whth half a carton

Holly Smoke - what a bargain. LOL No need for coolant or petrol, all it needs is holly water.

Thats what I did when I bought the wifes car in Qld. Use Sturt rather than Regency and all should be fine.
-
I think the answer is Yes and No The RWC wont be a problem when getting rego in Adelaide (after an identification check), but it may stop you getting the rego you need to drive it here. Perhaps put it on a trailer, tow it back and register it here (Visit Sturt Police yard for the identification check, not Regency)

Dino fuels leave deposits, so when you change to Bio fuel it will clean out the system. Its a food idea to replace your fuel filters regularly for the first few thousand k's (ie at 2K and again at 5k) As for fuel lines, if you still have the original rubber ones replace them (they are overdue anyway), and if you have replaced them in the last 2 years you should be fine. Its the same argument for E85 as Bio-Diesel, much of it is scare tactics, other bits are common sense.

Your welcome to turn up and join us for a chat even if you dont want to give blood (just socialize this time, and I'll try and convince you to donate next time)
-
Hi All We have another blood donation booking for 10:30 on Saturday 9th August Those who donated last time are already booked in, but there is room for more to donate (can be your first time) Free food and drink supplied, and a good place to catch up and chat. We are thinking of cruising down to Autosalon after-wards (around 12:00). A chance to give something back, and if you or someone close is ever in an accident you will be glad that others have donated blood. Can you please post here or PM me if you can donate, and I will advise Red Cross of the numbers.

Rather than re-write it all again, here is a comment that sums it up quite well from another thread. If you took the 25-30% rule and apply this to a high KW car, the loss of power is huge, now convert that into Joules (most power loss is converted to heat, and a small portion into noise) and you have a car that will change the climate for anyone within a few blocks.

Congratulations Just remember to fake sleep the first few times he calls out in the night, if you train her right now you will only have to get up for emergencies and when you need brownie points.

You spend time in workshops and you come accross all sorts of things. Some of the fixes above are also useful for the bush mechanic, when parts aren't available you have to improvise. I can also fix a flat tyre with spinifex, and recharge a battery with urine.

Thick oil is quieter, an old trick to use when selling a car with an old motor was to use the thickest oil possible to reduce smoke and quieten tappets and assorted noises. A bannana skin or stocking in the diff made it quieter. A raw egg in the radiator fixed leaks or (or ground pepper to fix a cracked head) A quick steam clean to hide the old leaks and you can ask an additional 1k for the car.

Could it be a boost cut? I am guessing you have a boost controler or bleed valve (but not listed in your mods). If you have increased the boost and havent got an aftermarket ECU or similar the could cause the problem. The cooler and more dence air in winter will make this more obvious than in summer.

Ruby, its probably not worth my time repeating this again, but I don't see where it says here you have until the 25th to pay. Autosalon need the cheque by the 25th, hence why the latest for the MAYBE's is Sunday the 20th (time for me to collect forms and money and post them off with a cheque to ensure they make it by the 25th) At the end of the day (Sunday 13th) we didn't have 6 cars, and I hadn't had any PM's or phone calls advising that people would definitely enter but couldn't attend the meeting (This includes you) Since joining you have posted so much BS that even now I doubt you are sure if you will or won't enter autosalon, and I wasn't prepared to put my money where your mouth is. By all means enter your car as an individual and show us all how it should be done, but at the end of the day the car isn't up to Autosalon standard (nor were most who would enter an SAU display) and is better suited to a club display than individual entry.
-
We always had a strong group of 5 cars, and others such as Flick who were willing to help organise/support. We stumbled when we reqired a 6th car to confirm it would enter. Considering SAU's long history of piss week excuses for not attending shows/cruises, confirming the 6th car was essential. There are always those who say they would like to enter, should be ready, almost definite, etc.. and some MAY have made it, but the rules state a minimum of 6.
