  1. I've been spotted AT LAST - thanks steve Its good to have the car on the road again - sorry I didn't see you (were u on the other side?)
  2. Ok, spoke to the Red Cross, and Saturdays are booked out for a while, they do Tuesday and Thursday nights (last appointments 7:45pm, out I guess by 8:30-9:00.) Are you guys available on Tuesdays or Thursdays? let me know and I'll book us in. (Could go as early as the 31st January, or when suits the group)
  3. I got 0/8, but the answers were wrong because: 1. - I was driving a Semi, and eveyone has to give way to me 2. - I am a Taxi driver and dont understany any roadsigns written in english 3. - I am a Taxi driver and I make up my own rules 4. - I am a pensioner and if that kid wasnt hooning we wouldnt have had an accident. In my day ............................. 5. - I dont care if I crash coz in my 800kw NA commadore I look fully sik maaaaate
  4. Whats the story - there must be more to it than that?
  5. I have just put a set of 4 of these on the skyline, cant tell you how good they are yet because I cant use any boost (till the boost controler is reattached) That price is good Steve, I paid $210 fitted yesterday.
  6. Ok, my times might be a little bit off - (i do start out towards the North), but Whereis.com guves a time of 1:44 from the city and its times are very conservative. Roseworthy to Clair is 1hr by Whereis.com (again quite conservative) And in both cases you are into the wineries befor you get to Clair
  7. You can get discounts to many of the bigger rental companies with things like RAA (NRMA) membership, or the "Entertainment Book" (used by many schools and clubs as a fundraiser - discount food, accomodation, entertainment)
  8. Who needs a car, use our excellent public transport LOL Seriously - where abouts will you be staying, you can get around easy on public transport for the city and beach (Glenelg tram ride -15 min) and just rent a car to go north (Barossa Valley-30min from city & Clare Valley-1:15 from city; 45 from Barossa), then a few days later head south (McLaren Vale- 25 min from city). Not staying for Clipsal 500? - 21st to 24th, in the city - may cause you some traffic problems at peek hour whilst you are here. Check out the website to see whats on each day - concerts, racing, extreme machines display.
  9. if you really do want to spend $ on gards, bonnet lights etc. just get an R34 front end.
  10. It was a great day, they should hold a schutzenfest every year.
  11. http://www.ministryofbass.com.au Simon and Joy Mobile: 0422 894006 email: [email protected] That should solve the problem LOL
  12. I am picking up a top and bottom hose from Simon (ministry of bass) today. I asked if he had some available on Saturday, so stock seems to be available.
  13. Do you still have an R33 series 1? Needed urgently to complete the job for the crash repairer
  14. I dont think you need guards, but u do need a bonnet, lights and grill. You can by series 2 sytle bars for the series 1, so just look for an afrermarket to suit a series 1.
  15. My japanese name is 吉国 Yoshikuni (good fortune country) 駿 Shun (fast person).
  16. Big isnt always better. (not that i've had any complaints, and the girls all walk away happy (bow legged, but happy) LOL) I often use fruit boxes (banannas and the like) for books and paperwork as they are very strong, stack well, and are manageable. Big boxes often get too heavy and are prone to tearing open unless the stuff you are packing is light.
  17. Thanks for the quick replies and positive responses. Even if you cant give blood (for whatever reason/s - I have no problems with this, not everyone can) come and support those who can. (free food and drinks are available to guests and donors )
  18. Everyone is different, but I often give blood and haven’t had that feeling. For those who haven’t been before, after you give blood you go to the lounge and help yourself to drinks, sandwiches, cake and biscuits. With a group of us there you sit, drink, talk etc then head out perhaps 20-30 min later (there is no rush) and you'll feel fine. I am happy to taxi anyone home (in my car or theirs) who feels they cant/shouldn’t drive, and cars could be garaged at my place if needed.
  19. Even if YOU dont buy it back, you may find someone on here willing to pay the to buy it as is. They would need to get the cash to you quickly, but when the insurance company offer you the wreck you dont have to give them an answer that day. (My guess is the wreck will cost you $7000)
  20. I'm planning a cruise to the Red Cross Blood Donor Centre - Modbury. (Food and drinks provided) Arrive between 5:30 and 6:30 on Thursday the 1st May Just wondering how many of us give blood or would give it a try. Stats show that many/most of us at some stage will require blood or blood products. As motoring enthusiasts we also put ourselves at a higher risk should things go wrong even if it isn’t our fault. (i.e. Drew's crash in 2006) I'd like to get as many people from SAU and their friends/family to come on a cruise and or meet up at a blood centre and donate blood. As enthusiasts in fast cars we often cop a lot of unwarranted attention, this is one way we can show the community that we aren’t all hoons. I believe I can get some coverage in the Sunday Mail, and possibly the Advertiser (if we get enough people I'll try radio and TV), In addition to a cruise, food and drinks you walk away knowing you did a good deed, and that if you ever need blood or blood products that there are people in the community that donate. Date for the cruise will be towards the end of February early March and will depend on the number of people. We can make a group booking so as to make sure there are enough staff to meet our needs.
  21. His date may be 15yrs old
  22. They are still in stock at many of the stores, and can be ordered between stores (store to store transfer) Its getting hard to find XXL (for us fat bastards), went to collect mine today and they hadnt put it aside as promised, got another one comming Friday from another store.
  23. 180rwkw with only an exhaust? (coilpacks and fmc wont make any additional horespower, but will support more boost to make power) Sounds like you were on a dyno that needed calibration, or the opperator put in the wrong specs to try and get a happy customer (or your car has more done to it than you think)
  24. You have to be kidding, its not that expensive check out the menue here The hilton is very over rated and not worth the visit. In my opinion it is trying to live off of a reputation that is no longer deserved. The food is OK (but no better than OK) and you can find food to match in many local PUBS. Whilst the hilton employ some top cheffs, most of the staff that prepare you meal are little more than kitchen hands (who like to call themselves chefs)
  25. As one of the older members of SAU, can I pass on some advice on life" If its got tits or wheels its going to cost you a lot of money. From what you have listed, if its going to cost moire than 2k to fix it may be cheaper to sell it and buy another one (but check it out this time so you dont end up in the same situation again)
