  1. If you want a quality job, the best in the state is Des Higgins Coachbuilders (workshop out near Parafield airport). He isnt cheap but for the quality of his work he isnt expensive either.
  2. not sure on the 32's but the 33 has a seperate ecu in the right kick panel for thr auto.
  3. Details arrived in the mail today. See you all on Sunday (if not on Friday night)
  4. Sorry I cant give you a definite answer on this, but logic would say that: Knock sensor not working = ECU assumes engine knocking (just to be safe and avoid a waranty claim) therefore retard some timing. HOWEVER - if you have set the timing when this was faulty you may have already compensated for the retard, but removed the safety measure on the rare occasion you get bad fuel or heat soak in the intercooler.
  5. The group buy is still running, just phone Mike at MV automatics, tell him you are after the Akylines Australia price on the shift kit / Torque converter or both, and he will send them out. It is fine for day to day driving, (gentle pedal action) but you will notice a big improvement when you plant your foot quickly
  6. Spotter a grey 32 just outside of inglewwod thisafternoon (both gave a wave) and a chick in a 33 sedan (flauntit) a little closer to St Agnes shopping Centre.
  7. I also wonder how many of the stolen skylines have never been found (or found as parts only). My guess is very few (if any) were professional jobs, The majority (or all) were just taken for a thrash (which wouldnt happen if a decent alarm/imobiliser was fitted) and dumped. Getting off topic here - think I'll just go back to spotting cars.
  8. Be real We are talking about skylines here, not Mclarens or Enzo Ferraris. If I was inclined to go out and steel a line I could find 10 parked in any shopping centre, and several parked in and around any business district. In addition any of us with insurance have had to fit at least a 3 point immobiliser, so I would have thought there are plenty of much easier targets out there. Shopping lists of cars are useful for everyday cars (Holden, ford Mitsubishi) because there are plenty of spare parts needed by the crash repair trade, the smallish skyline community makes the risk of butchering cars for this industry a lot riskier. You are much more likely to have your car stolen for a joyride than a shopping list. Don’t get paranoid, just fit a decent immobiliser.
  9. Spotted a nice grey 32 GTR (WWW-***) near the Arkabar (forgot the name of the rd) around 5:45 today. Anyone on here?
  10. Sorriy I cnat make he 24th, its my birthday Pluss I worry that if something went wrong on the cruise it would ruin my Xmass, or if it went real bad could ruin everyones Xmass (Just hate the thought of fatalities at that time of year)
  11. keep me posted
  12. Thats a bit of an exageration I would guess 5 cm longer, because if you fit the coupe exhaust it sits back about 1-2 inches further than in the coupe. I also prefer the style of the boot with the flush sides (more like the 34's) and spoiler on top.
  13. I'd be keen on a shirt Just wondering if you have thought of selling SAU G-Strings (and if the model could show us what they would look like) - sorry if its your wife/girlfriend
  14. My guess would be that the MV Valve body will save you at least 0.5 second on the quarter mile.
  15. I think Madaz car was a gts4 (non turbo 4 wheel drive) but has since had a RB25DET put in to make it a baby godzilla. Why do you want the 4 wheel drive? There are plenty of R33 sedans around if you look (I even have 1 for sale if your interested) but the vast majority are automatic (which isnt really a problem as the autos are nice and tight, not a slush box at all) They are a great car and dont draw the unwanted attention of the coupe. (yet are just as fast and hendel the same)
  16. Now thats a better bicture Mike LOL
  17. I dont think its the same car. These pics were part of a powerpoint presentation, but they were the only ones I could post on the forum without beeing banned.
  18. Sorry mike, I know Celicas are girls cars, but your picture is missing way too much flesh (Blond, Brunet or Shaven).
  19. I quite like the 350z
  20. pictures? price guide?
  21. Followed DRTY2 down North east Rd today around 4:45pm and spotted PKBLAKE heading into town a little further down.
  22. Gutsy move for a Ferrari driver to park under a 4wheel drive.
  23. Me too. I am always much more careful whenever I have pasengers in the car (especially the kids).
  24. RIP and condolences to the family. Cubes, I've seen your driving, your more of a slow in and slower out. I have to agree with the other comments on here that access to a track is the place to test the car and your driving skills.
  25. I have a set of stock shocks, havnt used them for 18 months but they were OK when they camo out.
