Urgent Question Regarding R33 S1 Sedan Parts.
4door_Sleeper replied to Lil_Bobby_260's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Guards, bonnet, front bar, lights etc are all the same. (just be careful about mixing series 1 and 2 parts (both will fit but they are not mix and match) -
Its BS and egos like this that have driven many members off of the SAU forums. Some of you have been members for little over a year and what you know about modifying cars and the import scene could be written on an ants eye without causing the creature any inconvinience. I realise Martin isnt one to blow his own horn, but if any of you guys have ever seen an early copy of Zoom or HPI magazines, most of thes articles are written by or about Martin and Co., and he is one of the few that put the import car scene on the map (and for a while Adelaide was the center of that scene). When half of you were in high school, or couldnt tell the difference between a skylins and a Supra, Martin, WhatsHisName (Matt) Munro (John) Grepin (Greg) and others had highly modified cars and we would cruise reguarly (and never managed a major accident or fatality). If you needed (or still need) to get a Power FC tuned, Martin was/is the man (and has taught many of the workshops you go to see now). The fastest GTR's in adelaide (both street and track) have had his involvemet, and if you want to modify your new R35 GTR, then chances are it will be Martin you will talk with. Some of you need to wipe the water out from behind your ears before you open your mouth, you only make yourself look stupid (or more stupid as the case may be).

2009 V8 Supercar Thread

Here is a brief clip of the Nissan GTR leading the V8s at Clipsal today. -
Steve, that is so old. My dad had a recording of the original comedy routine on a reel to reel tape back in the early 1960s

Not quite follow this link to the SMASA website Dragon 1994 nissan 180SX SR20 turbo black top 260 kil watts rear wheels, HKS 4'' exhaust, HKS pipes, rebuit motor last year with s15 runing parts HKS top cams, HKS forged pistons, S15 fuel injectors, naprec 100mm throttle body . HKS t51r single turbo 17x8 Adrenalin wheels, fully airbrushed and decked out inside, no rear seats just a SOUND SYSTEM 3 pioneer 350 watts amps, 2 Pioneer 10'' subs, 1 Pioneer 12'' sub, Pioneer CD tuner 4+50 with ipod, Pioneer DVD player. And its hard to call it thrown together when its been evolving for at least 7 years that I know of. It has been in various car shows, & the SVD Car Club events that I have seen.

Sounds a bit like sour grapes? (perhaps?) For the record the voting slip advised that the import class was "A vehicle that is imported into Australia" so a Buick would qualify. The 180 isn't everyones cup of tea, but if you had a closer look you would have seen a lot of modifications have been done to that car. I think it puts out over 250rwkw, and has numerous internal and external mods. (some subtle, others not) It was also one of the few cars to set up a significant display, so it was probably more memorable to the general public when the time came to vote.

Last year they accepted entries on the day. It will probably depend upon how many entrants they already have, and how many can fit on the oval.

OK, this is as serious as I will get here, then back to stirring. There are to many people/posts in this thread that need to step back and have a look at themselves. I am hoping that by stirring a bit I can get some of them to look at their views and comments and reconsider what they have are saying. If someone wants to set up an SAU display, thats great, but they need to remember its SAU, not a me and my homies display. (unless they want to post it up as a me and my homies display, SAU members come and support us) I can see why some people are pissed off about not being allowed in the display, especially when it wont be a skyline display. (I don't have a problem with the Stagea's being there, but it seems hypocritical to then say other models are not welcome) /end serious rant OK, back to the stirring.
-
The problem is you are not part of the right . If you were more of a and had the right you might have been in with a .
-
Careful, someone soon is going to remind you that this is also a performance car forun, and an NA skyline isnt really a performance car.
-
So I take it there will be no Stagea's then? Given that they are no more a Skyline than the Silvia. (just stirring LOL)

The heat isnt all bad, look at the wildlife it flushed out today

Anyone Here Imported A Car From Britain?
4door_Sleeper replied to Lum's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
wouldnt it be easier to have a sticker made that sits over the kph figures and has mph insteaed. It shouldnt be hard to make. You just need to line it up and stick it down. (You know that and 0 km/h = 0m/h, and 100km/h is close enough to 60m/h) When they went metric in Australia some of the cars had these stickers added by the distributors. -
FAIL The first skylines were 4 cylinders, so by your logic they should have kept with a 4 cylinder in the name of heritage LOL Times change, cars change, viva la change.

I don't know if they still exist and what the details are, but my first home was with Home-start. They only take a % of your wage, so if/when interest rates get really high you will always be able to make the repayments however your mortgage will go back wards. If you can manage the same repayments a normal bank would charge you, you can pay the house off quite fast. The interest rates used to be average/competitive but the advantage was the knowledge that if interest rates went high again (in my case they were just coming down from around 20%) i wouldn't be without a home. The earlier you get on the home ownership ladder the better as prices will continue to rise and your equity will go up as the prices go up.

Mixing brake fluids isnt as bad as it sounds UNLESS THEY ARE SILICONE AND MINERAL BASED. Its uncommon to see a silicone based brake fluid in a street car. A flush is a good idea as brake fluid is hydroscopic (absorbs water) and this hinders its performance as it heats and the water boils in the oil.
-
Radiator workshops can often recondition clutch fans by opening them up and replacing the silicon fluid on the inside. (I have had this done with a Toyota thats notorious for faulty clutch fans)
-
The fan can not spin any faster than intended, my guess is that in the hot weather it the thermal coupling has come on (as intended) and is doing its job (the car was probably quite hot- but the factory gauge is useless so don't use it to claim the car wasn't hot) Well worth getting the brakes inspected and a flush of the fluid Timing belt noise and boost may be issues for a mechanic or Ryan.

If you have a Dr's note and enough sick days left you may be able to take sick leave rather than annual leave. Depends on your award and employer but it may be worth considering.
-
Congrats Craig You must have been woried she would say NO (being a blood nut and all) Jk's LOL

RAA or any locksmith should be able to do it A locksmith will be able to cut a new key and open the boot for around $100, not sure if the RAA will be able to do it without damaging the lock.

I have had it (shows up on medical tests) but wasnt aware I had had it. I have known of others who were flat on their backs 3 months with it. so there is a lot of scope. Best bet is to look after yourself by eating right, exercising lightly and removing stress (deal and close any issues such as relationships/finances/family/work which give you psychological stress) The more you worry and push yourself the longer it will take to get over it. PS - that will be $75, please pay on the way out LOL
-
This new law has one advantage: if P platers can't drive skylines this site will be a lot less like ns.com (even ns.com would improve, its a win win scenario) LOL
-
LOL thats not a big back yard, (my dam is bigger than that) this is mine a comfy 100 achres (lots of room for a private trst track and drag strip if it wasnt so hilly (no flat quarter mile strip )

Hi Dan Last time I checked part of the exhaust was still on your car. If they have taken it all off, I will collect it this week. Bet you are glad to be back home, an extended holiday for a few days sound good but yours was closer to a fortnight wasn't it? (were work OK with it?) Has Simon or Mark given you a date on your car yet? I can probably give you a lift when you go to pick it up if you need it (The joys of being on holidays early LOL)
