  1. Cool
  2. And the monthly payment option. They offer great service and were no problem when I made a claim
  3. I wont advise on the turbo choice because I am not as familiar with the RB20 as I am with the RB25s. Search the threads and I think you will find lots of help. You may/will also need to consider upgrading your: Fuel Pump, Injectors, Engine management (but I think you can reprogram the EPROM on a 32 which is cheaper) and turbo to push more than 200rwkw reliably.
  4. 147rwhp or 147 rwkw - 147 hp seems low, and but 147 kw would be closer. 11 psi isnt normally stock - 7=8psi is normal 15 psi is asking for a blown turbo. What engine management are you using?
  5. Please explain why a 220kw car should be beaten by a 200kw car? (Assuming similar suspension setups and equal driver skills) Remember an auto can start on boost, unlike a manual, and it gets the benefit on more torque. There is a reason why almost all top levels of motor sport (drag, F1, rally) use auto boxes. You sound like just another 15yr old NOOB talking out of your ***.
  6. My car went through Sturt with the mods you listed still on it. and I had no problems. I am not garanteeing they wont ping you, but they seemed th be interested in ID stuff and really obvious (ie dangerous) defects.
  7. Very nice Andrew, Cant wait to have a closer look.
  8. Thanks Adrian Just a case of the worst possible time for things to go wrong financially.
  9. Insurance is a little bit better than a coupe. Depends a lot on the driver and their history. I pay around $1000pa in monthly installments.
  10. Price is $14,000 ono I purchased the car a few months ago for a little more than this. At that time I thought I had a bargain. I am not gready so I will pass the car on at a good price. I have had a PM asking if there is anything wrong with the car (implication being that with these mods the price is too low) but I assure you the car is in good condition with no faults that I am aware of. I believe this is an ideal opportunity to get into a great car at a good price. You can purchase a new (to Australia) import with fewer km, but it will cost you more, and by the time you factor in all the mods that have already been done to this car you are well ahead.
  11. Bump - anyone know of someone in need of a 4 door with a lot of the rice already added?

  13. Thanks Mike. I am willing to deliver the car interstate if it helps anyone.
  14. any takers? Price and extras negotiable.
  15. Launching was done in gear, and foot held down enough to not quite break traction. Another advantage of the auto is that I launch on boost :-) My 60ft times were SH1T because I still had my TYNE HA coil overs on the car. I think they were around 2.3 seconds. With the rear end set up properly and a new torque converter I should be able to get a low 12 easy (I hope)
  16. Just a note for all SA members that I am selling my wifes R33 (and would prefer an SA sale - hence the post here, hope thats OK with our moderators) Check it out at http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...636#post1447636

  18. I have an auto - and its excellent. (admitedly I had a new valve body installed). I get all the advantages of an auto in traffic, and it hasnt given me any problems on runs through the hills. I have over 220rwkw (you can get good power from an auto). Another advantage is the maintenance factor - how many of you manual drivers have spent a fortune on clutches? PS - anyone here want to tell the F1 boys they dont have sprts cars? I believe they are all autos.
  19. Lets see, Pistons (check), Rings (check), Valves (check), internal combustion engine (check) - I'd say they are both the same. Admittedly the F1 engine is built to tighter tolerances but they are almost identical. PS dont use ANY DODGY oil, use the good stuff. (non-synthetic of course). Pennzoil and others manufacture special oils for running in engines if you ask a good retailer they should be able to get it for you.
