  1. You never want to add backpressure - this is an urban myth - you do need to worry about harmonics to get the best out of an NA, but ideally you wouldnt want any backpressure.
  2. Tell him he's dreaming, its only worth half of that LOL PS. ill buy it for half LOL
  3. The other side of the argument is that itsa great time for local manufacturers to sell. (perhaps not to Japan, but the US and NZ may find bargains by purchasing from Australia)
  4. I never use commercial carwashes for the skyline. Years ago when I worked part time at a servo, the local kids would sneek in and tie sparkplugs to the rotating brushes (you can imagine the damage that caused) You may need to use a machine rather than hand polish to buff out the marks, then finish witht he finer stuff by hand. Either way its lots of work.
  5. You can build a safe computer, but theres always an idiot user that will go out of their way to bring it down.
  6. what side of Adelaide are you on? Morepowa do good work if you are out North
  7. I may be heading into the city tonight, depending upon when I finish I'll drop past
  8. Check the wreckers/compliance workshops, you can get some good systems at a nice price.
  9. +1 for professional judging.
  10. Have you considered a small backup battery (ie car alarm style) so you will have some power even after they disconnect your battery. Run this through a diode and into a source of power on your car and you are set.
  11. Carefully I use Electrolube and a clean tooth brush. You are trying to remove any carbon from the cracks as the electricity will travel along this. Clean will increase the resistance and make it harder to arc across.
  12. Agree with both of the above. Maxxis rated well in independant tests; are silicon based; have an agressive tred pattern (asthetics); and had a good price (just over $200 each for a 17" tyre).
  13. Start with the plugs. There is no benefit in going to Spitfire coil packs if your standard ones are OK - many claim the Nissan coil packs are better anyway, just way too expensive. Make sure you clean the coil packs prior to re-installing, and you can use areldite (sp?) to fix some cracks.
  14. I rate them (Maxxis Vectra MA-Z1) good grip wet or dry, close to my Bridgestone SO3's I also believe they rate well in most comparison tests, and especially for the price (half of the SO3 price) Craig, your problem could be suspension rather than rubber.
  15. +1 for Petro-Ject Had my injectors cleaned, new O-Rings and caps and then flow tested last time they were out (to chrome plate the fuel rail. LOL) all for around $150. Good guys and usually same day service.
  16. Krishy will have my old bar back Thursday afternoon if you can wait till then
  17. I dont believe there is any rule about parking opposite a driveway, and in the case of my street there would be almost no on street parking if such a rule existed.
  18. Are you saying no electrics work? An immobiliser may effect your central locking (but i wouldn't have thought so) but if you have no other electrics in the car I doubt its the immobiliser and certainly not the starter motor. Can you get your alarm to activate? interior light or headlights to work? hazard warning lights? (an immobiliser shouldn't stop all of these from working and will indicate the problem is instead between the battery and the fuse box) You said you checked out the battery - but it might be worth trying another one if you have one handy, or try a jump-start. I would also be checking the battery terminals (you wouldn't be the first to have corrosion in the terminal cause a problem like this) Not sure if the 32 has a fuse in the main battery line (some cars do) or a big spade fitting that has corroded (took me a while to find this problem on an old valiant once)
  19. What bar do you need? Krishy has my series 1 R33 bar (but I believe he is off of his defect now) and you are welcome to borrow it when I get it back.
  20. You have got to be kidding with that comment For now I wont say anything else. PS. Great photos Troy. But we want More ................................. Plz
  21. A great day. Congrats to Luke - 2 trophies (best wheels and best 4x4) Martin 1 trophie (best 6 cylinder)
  22. your mate was too close to stop = fail A rear ender like that is usually open and shut, 100%, tailenders fault. Hope your all OK and no-one was hurt.
  23. i'll be showing - spent all week cleaning/polishing so I need a reason to show it now. LOL
  24. I'm happy to try and fit in in, but the sedan has no more room than the coupe. It will need to be clean, getting the interior shampooed tomorrow morning.
