  1. how did 3rd gear break? what's servicing/replacement parts like in aust for this gearbox? same price as a second hand ppg but an extra gear. downside is no real local support.
  2. from my understanding, the trust sump extension comes with its own modified pickup. the nismo unit is designed for a standard sump pan.
  3. Pm me
  4. cooler kit sold pending payment. clearly selling too cheap as i'm being hounded by a few people.
  5. Selling all these parts due to major upgrades to my car. Trust oil cooler kit is missing one hose (still using in my car) but i'm having another fabricated so this kit can be sold as a complete kit. retails for over $1,000. For sale for $400. Recommended you flush all hoses and core as it has been sitting in storage for 3 months. Nismo sump baffle in perfect working condition. Kept my engine in one piece despite a lot of track days over 5 years. Retails for $600 and hard to find. For sale for $400. 33 gtr coils - car had 110k when removed to upgrade to splitfires. $200 33 gtr resistor pack - $100 sard fuel reg - 200-800kpa. In perfect working order. retails for $250+. For sale for $180 sard 700cc injectors - I have not flow tested but were in perfect working order when removed. for sale for $500 Will sell std fuel rail separately if someone wants it for $50. Some interior parts for sale here... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/370544-33-gtr-interior-parts/ pickup preferred for larger items - sydney
  6. same one i bought. works fine.
  7. The more I race the more I realise the prado isn't the ideal tow car. The 2012 amarok is coming out with the tourag 8 speed auto which will see me step up to the plate. That way I can throw a drum or two of e85 in the tray with spare wheels and tools etc. Might need to do airbags in the rear though. 420nm and 3200kg towing capacity. If you need more just chip it.
  8. what's involved in the national licence if i only have an l2s at this point?
  9. best/cheapest place to buy carbon boot and wing? have seen the boots in a few places but not the full adjustable wing. and what do you mean good luck with the carbon doors? hard to find or expensive? or not worth it for the weight saving?
  10. hadn't thought about the heated windscreen. Also hadn't put too much thought into the fuel tank...sounds like most of the weight is saved in running less fuel and no surge tank. i'll go and read the rules for mra and irace but the lexan windows and carbon doors are going to be the big weight savers.
  11. i know there have been heaps of weight saving threads but i have searched and can't find 33 gtr specific weights/details. car weighed in at 1575kg with 3/4 tank of gas which is about 200kg heavier than a couple of 32 gtrs i'm hoping to one day compete with (they have similar power). i know i'll never get it to weigh the same as a 32 but i'd like to bridge the cap. current interior fully stripped with extensive 6-point weld in cage sound deadening removed sparco race seat and harness passenger seat with std mount and harness for passenger days guts of behind-dash removed except heater box std door cards replaced with carbon fibre flat sheets centre console still installed rpm steering wheel replaces std wheel power windows still installed panels all panels std all windows still glass engine aircon replaced with dry sump pump dry sump and upgraded fuel system in boot with braided lines a few things i'm thinking of removing/changing. any ideas on weight? interior second skins? passenger seat + mount + harness? std bood lid + spoiler? front and rear reo bars? custom titanium front and side pipes - save 35kg over full length stainless? rear window wiper...think i've read 3kg. i think all of the above would be worth about 70 - 80kg but still a long way to go. then when i win the lotto i can go to lexan windows and carbon doors. happy to take your advice...
  12. so far so good with the hero 2. ordered straight from gopro.com and had it within the week. picture is fantastic. Don't know if i had the hero 1 on the wrong setting but the picture was never as clear as this new one. Testing mic input in the coming weeks but it will definately make a difference. Also enables you to put the mic anywhere you want....engine bay, near exhaust, in your helmet bla bla bla.
  13. he means twin 3" front pipes (i think) i'd also consider chanigng my std manifold when i change exhaust, even though i know others running the std manifold without issue with 450+awkw.
  14. best place to get a 4" exhaust? would consider a side pipe as the car is track only. currently running hks dumps, unknown front pipe (think twin 70mm into 3.5") and then straight through 3.5". car just made 450awkw so thinking the 3.5" is going to need an upgrade.
  15. apologies. I left friday and received the info second hand. sorry for the confusion. great job miles.
  16. agreed....very impressive time. that's with steven richards driving. heard richards had miles in the passenger seat and did a 2:19 before pulling into the pits and kicking miles out. He then took 2 or 3 laps to put it into the 15's. the moral of this story for me is to spend more $$$ on seat time than on mods for the car. I believe Miles himself was lapping in the 20's so there is clearly massive time to be gained with the aid of professional tuition.
  17. gopro have released their version 2. 11 meg vs previous 5 meg. and full hd video vs previous hd. external mic input which is what everyone has been screaming for. same price too.
  18. disco 4. Added bonus is that all the seats fold flat....plenty of room for the junk we take to the track. fuel bill won't kill your savings account either. why are people raving about the amarok? 2800kg towing capacity where most of these others have 3500kg. 400nm of torque vs 600+ for the others. what am i missing?
  19. have they been on the car yet? i see in another thread you've posted a pic of them on the car. if so, how many km's? please send me pictures of the wheels and tyres. thanks
  20. redistrip at blacktown....the guys at sucrogen asked them to sell the fuel cause they're close to EC and have the appropriate licences to store it. they know very little about e85 or of any fuel transfer systems. what's the transfer rate with the std pump? can't remember....been a while since i had a std pump.
  21. anyone using the macnaught rapidflo? http://www.macnaught.com.au/shop/item/rapidflo or the alemite version.. www.alemite-lubrequip.com.au/Portals/0/ServiceSheets/5080A.pdf keen on one of these but $500 is a bit expensive for something i'll use once a month. anyone know where to source these cheaper?
  22. not at this point...sorry.
  23. hey guys Just bought my first 200l drum of e85. what is the hand pump of choice for all of you guys that use these drums? do you have to take the pump out after each use and re-seal the drum? cheers
  24. bride rail sold. rest of gear still up for sale. (i have the second door card back now)
