  2. mine does the same thing.........just set it to 18deg and turn it off....i assume setting it to this just closes the vents to from the engine.
  3. this was for a 33 gtr vspec by the way.
  4. i remember a friend tellin me something about lil fins or something stickin out from the rear diff/struts......i dunno somewhere in that area. visual indication vspec over standard. im not too sure about that as i couldnt be bothered gettin down and havin a look.

  9. kwazza: i think u've missunderstood. i dont think anyone here said that having no bov wont do anything to ur engine. just reinforcing to Rabz that his car and all gts-t's have stock blow off valves...be it auto or manual. Predator and i were just saying from opinion that an aftermarket one's over the stock one wont give u any great performance gains.

  12. well as its a stock one.....it looks nothing like an aftermarket one. not sure about 32's but on a 33 they're this ugly small grey roundish thing thats attatched to one of the intake pipes. follow ur intake pipes and there should be something odd bolted onto it:D as u say your hearing a whistling sound after lettin go of the gas its best bet that thats the sound of ur bov...doesnt matter if its auto too.....my friend had a 32 auto.

  14. aftermarket bov's in my opinion do pretty much the same thing as the stock one only a little more fancier. doesnt make ur car go any faster or perform any beter i recon. for the money u spend on an aftermarket one id rather save up a lil more and spend it on a safc or ebc or brake upgrade...but thats just me. in the end its up to u really:D but like redline said, try and get urself a plumb back one as its not illegal.
  15. yeah thats why i started this thread......lol. have a look at the apex site...ull see the N1 front pipe that im talkin about. how much is that N1 that u picked up anyways?? as for boost increase after exhaust fitting.......well honestly its alot smoother thru revs...less lag, but it doesnt have that anticipated kick that it used to when the stock exhaust was on. it probably is faster cause i wheel spin in second now but it doesnt feel any faster...just lounder....haha...plays with the mind abit. the front pipe should bolt straight on if its for a skyline that is and most hi flow cats and cats in genearl should fit. anyways this is the job of the exhaust guy fitting it in so u shouldn't need to think about it. as for the aftermarket boost guage.....a definite if ur planing to boost it up. the standard one is abit dodgy if u ask me, doesnt really give u an exact reading. i fang it and the needle never hits 7 as its supposed too and im sure i dont have any boost leaks either.

  17. yeah as long as u have a turbo u have a stock bov. just splice it from the throttle body in the first thread if ur not sure. the longer the wires the better.....u can always cut em....abit harder the other way around.

  21. every lancer that i have seen has always had a wrinkled bum.....as in the driver reversed into something or someone bummed it....have a looke next time u see a lancer, its true. lancer rears are like car magnets...hehe.....so when ur behind one change lanes or overtake it:D

  24. drive in cruise and a cruise in general will be good im still up for the track day some time....sometime soon:D has melb had a track day yet??i get envious of qld and nsw when they have drift days:D:D
  25. i thought this thread was dead........hehe. adrian theres two diff apex front pipes that i know of...the GT and the N1....from pics ive seen the N1 has a flexi joint and aparrently bolts straight onto the cat back exhaust eliminating the cat. the GT has no flexi joint and bolts onto the cat. does urs have a flexi joint? i ended up getting a custom front pipe made anyways. gianni: not too sure the dump pipe makes that much a difference on a standard turbo, obviously there'd be some improvement but not as much as u would be expecting. theres a thread about this on the forum somewhere.
