it was just the front pipe......i think he quoted me 230 or something like that for the combination front/dump in same material and like 280 for stainless. honestly those quotes are from memory (which is prettty bad) so dont quote me on it....hehe....but they were good prices though. impressions.....looks good....fits nice....no noticable change in exhaust note surprisingly just a tad more grunty. alot more smoother/easier acceleration from stand still and down gearing. havent had a chance to fang it to see the difference in mid/top range, holdin off for cooler weather to do that. i was goin to get the combo pipe but figured id have to get it modified if and when i put a bigger turbo in so i figured id keep the dump and front pipe separate and change the dump when the time comes. note that i still have my standart cat so im expecting better things to come when i get the hi flow cat.
-
just got my pipe adjusted today........sweet ass.....by the way it was 160 for coated something or nother with some coating to prevent rust......not mild steel i dont think. got it done at an exhaust place off westall rd next to honda wrecks....top bloke too.
-
hey guys.....i just got my front pipe done today......sounds like im starting up a tractor when i start it up cause the pipe starts hittin the chasse........bringin it back to the guy tomorrow.. i cant believe how hot it gets.....when i open the bonet....wow..stand back!...im sure thats not good for things. i cant really tell the difference....only slightly better throttle response....hmmmm....maybe i should have got the hi flow cat first:D

arent u also able to set boost to rpm on the avc-r?? i was initally considerin gettin the blitz i-D which is smaller and a lil cheaper but to get the extra functions such as temps a/f power readouts and setting boost to speed (which i dont see the use of) u have to buy the blitz power meter.

thanks.......yeah i poured in 4L at first and it was perfect after runnin in the car for a while......decided to top it up a lil under 4.5L cause wasnt sure of the first readin and its over the max level by about 3-5mm....my mistake.....hehe. should have takein into accoud residue oil in the engine. oh wells......pressure seems to be the same as what it was before i changed it which was is lil over 1/4mark. seems to be runnin ok so far so ill keep my fingers crossed till next oil change. cheers:D
-
hey guys.....changed my oil......question...what happens when u put too much engine oil in?? cause i put 4L in first let it run and then toped it up but ended up toppin it up too much. whats the worst thing that could happen?? also can u get the sump washer from any local place cause discovered that mine was flattened (must have been an air wrench) so now it leaks abit at the sump. damn....should have read ur post earlier bleach.....hehe
-
ive had peeps ask me for a jump start and im like ummmm.........sorry..........i dont know how to do it on this car. (paranoid that it would blow something) i mean i would if i was in my dads XF.......honestly i would!! by the way inark.....hows things goin with the S.E. meetup thingy ma jigg??
-
yeah thanks for that ronin......yeah had a look at the trust....nice...was after one with a flexi joint though......hmmm...maybe i shouldnt be soo picky
-
hey guys ive come to the realisation that the reason u dont see minor oil drips is because the plastic underlay under the engine actually catchs the drippin oil......thats why u dont see any on the ground hehe:D im abit worried cause i had a look at that underlay the other day and saw some spots where oil has been drippin on it. so the question here is whats the possible cause of the oil leak?? thanks
-
he guys.......mine is a dual N1, got it for $500 private of someone on the performance forum.....keep an eye out Gianni....they pop up once in a while if ur willin to wait:D sounds fantastic....fairly quiet at idle and normal driving......no probs with the windows up. screams crackle and pops when it needs to on boost....over all its awsome....looks the part too. i agree with u too gianni.... i was under the impression that the GT pipe didnt have the flexi joint though it is stainless and the N1 does have it but its black coated like adrian said. well this is what i saw on the perfect run website. The trust front pipe is black without flexijoint.....could u have this instead adrian?? i dunno:D
