  1. yeah get rid of your s1 spoiler...they're so ugly
  2. ah would have been handy if you were in melb
  3. if they were arsed doing the job in the first place they'd be double arsed fixing their arseness. I wouldnt let them touch the car again and leave it with your mate or a qualified workshop. pay some money for some piece of mind and get the car thoroughly looked through while your at it. Should have done that before you handed the cash over, you probably would have picked up on the problem then. IMO 3 weeks driving isnt long enough to have killed your tyres with regular k's, they would have been on the verge of what you described and would have been easily picked up if it was inspected properly in the first place.
  4. whats a pain is even when your car is legal you have to drop everything and make an effort to get it tested and all that to prove it. we should get our money re-imbursed if we pass the test I say and get it deducted from the cop that filed the notice....but thats never gonna happen is it...lol
  5. not a bad ploy me thinks. alarm would go off but depending on the alarm it would turn itself off after a while. door would still open and you would still be made to open the bonet. maybe say your alarms playing up and whenever the coppa puts his head under the bonet turn your alarm siren on to make it uncomfortable on his ears and hope he doesnt take to it with his gun.
  6. i go on the theory if you dont do anythign stupid and your car is in order you should be alright. seems to be a proven for me...when my cars in order they let me go, when its not id get done...lol.
  7. couldnt be that big could it? I had a big hairy one that was about 7cm in diamiter spread out living in my car for 4 months. would crawl out of my engine bay and cross over my windscreen when im driving. Lucky for me I've got abit of a delayed reaction so I would notice it before it would register that is a big ass spider. My mate hated it and wouldn't get in my car which was all good cause he would drive instead..ha
  8. now thats the last place i would have thought to have gone. thanks for that. I did come across a woodworking place $20phr min 4 hrs which is abit steep having min hours, otherwise it would have been reasonable.
  9. im not too clear as to how it works...doesnt help that i skimmed it but it opens up if you hit if over 30ks which may mean you wont be ready for it when it pops up and your rears hit it and throws the car into the wall..lol I can only see this in shopping centres, big corprorate business parks the like then again you dont normally do more than 30ks in places like that anways. too many moving parts for the average road which is where speeding usually occurs plus im sure a big ass truck or two would make mice of it. good idea non the less.
  10. gold! good on ya you big hairy ethnic 2 sacks. yeah unfortunately bad parenting plays a big part. and whats more unfortunate for them is if they continue to carry on they will bump into the wrong person who wont think twice in stabbing em.
  11. good on ya for controlling your temper, santa will be happy for ya. Kudo's to the couple who helped you. What goes around comes around and for them they will get a nice pressie from you and for the other guy he will get a nice bill.
  12. why dont you ring em up for a price comparrison and go from there. stick the short shifter in yoruself if you wanna save a buck or two.
  13. ha...Poida my uni workshop lecturer would have pressed the big red kill switch and been all over him for that. nothing beats metal filings in your eyes. Really miss using the lathe, vac form and milling machines at uni, if only there was a workshop for hire. Nothing better to wake you up in the morning than leaving the chuck tool in a lathe and starting it up
  14. you might be onto something there. could well be your alternator...must have been some fat beats hey to suck all the juice out of your car mid drive.
  15. someone must have been asleep at the office to let this pass..ha. good on him. doesnt it cost money to patent stuff? Is he gonna use it to scam the system like they do with trademarks?
  16. would be a good experiment hey? Lets see what response you get from them. would be interesting.
  17. my mates would go to some shop and get the plastic type of iron on for their soccer jersey numbers and names. No idea where they got it done though. Maybe try the sports uniform stores/business in the yellow pages?
  18. im glad i got myself the cushion instead of a full blown button one. The cushion was a hand full in the begining to get used to and not ride so much but theres just some road situations were you have to ride it a lil sometimes like parking and stuff. Pedal feel is just a tad harder than stock now, but at the beginning it was fairly heavy. I think full button is abit of overkill if its just a daily.
  19. it would still be technically registered as a turbo wouldnt it unless you get it engineered which will cost you more money
  20. yes it was quite the obvious. i would have thought they would be near impossible to swap or fairly teadious as they seem to be moulded and fitted in place.
  21. wouldnt your seatbelts buckles be on the wrong side?..lol
  22. if you look in the vic section it has a list. Why not take it to RE customs to start off with? you know it could be something simple as your sparkplugs but if your unsure take it to a mech.
  23. I guess only if you can prove you werent do that speed. remember to add 3ks ontop as thats what they usually deduct before fining you. Could always ask for a massive favour from your parents if you really need that point? lol probably shouldnt have said that bit...eek.
  24. Ford or no ford, when you change your oil you drain the old one out first...lol Just ask a mate who is mechanically minded to show you how to do it, that or take it to a mech and get them to show you. Swallow your pride and learn something or else you'll end up killing something like your car.
  25. yep, they give you the benefit of the doubt and deduct 3ks or so off the original speed they caught you at so you would have been caught doing 67-68 as stated. And yep if your speedo is out, its your responsibility to get it fixed. Why bother fighting it unless your car could not physically be able to do that alledged speed or your gonna loose youre license because of it.
