  1. Theres always the good old MS Paint (Microsoft Paint in windows not a pannel beater) draw a couple boxes representing your car, the truck, the carpark and the road. will make it easier to picture. has your insurance decide who was at fault. it sure sounds like a nasty prang.
  2. do you need to get it for the como or for something else? what was the reason it was $1500? things need fixing? not many places will risk their license if the car is obviously unroadworthy. I had to get a wrc and while i was there a guy comes in, in a beat up como and expected to just hand over money and get a cert without an inspection. the mech flatly refused his money and told him to go somewhere else. I couldnt understand your last sentence..ha

  4. arent there clipss on the handles themselves that you pop out to acess the screws? are they more seat belts or handle handles? a pic might help. or a reply from someone thats done it...ha.
  5. i hardly drive mine so id get over it pretty quickly. would probably start to get to me moreso on occasions rather than time period say if i needed to go for a long trip then id miss the line. then im over it again till the next trip.
  6. funnels connect to the openings where the afm bolt onto to create smoother airflow. mines for a 33stst so i only have one funnel for one afm, not sure if yours the same.
  7. interesting....all i know when i had mine if its d/c then it runs 5psi and the feeling is noticable. I have done the earthing mod and can tell the difference from 5psi to 7psi whilst driving and switching it on and off via a switch in cabin. I also wired the solenoid up to a water spray kit so when it turns on after 4500rpm it automatically sprays. so i assumed its on and controling boost rather than working only when the car overboosts. now im doubting myself...ha. maybe someone else can shed some light.

  9. the question now is did the car feel the same before and after or is the guage just reading the same before and after? if it felt the same then it might be a boost/solenoid thing but if it felt slower dis-connected then its probably the guage. does your stock guage say different. is the guage new? i dont know the diff in connection between an electronic one and a mechanical one. you might want to check if the hoses for the guage arent pinched or leaking anywhere.
  10. solenoid as in your boost solenoid to make it run 5psi only. this is to see if either its a boost problem or your boost guage. and when i mean disconnect i mean unplug it electrically not the vaccum hoses themselves.

  12. you get a nice certificate. cheaper insurance depends on your insurer i guess...ask them. i did this last time and got alot out of it. i saw with my own eyes how abs on cars can make so much of a difference. i dont have it so i learnt how to improvise. motokan and emergency lane change was the best for me. would highly recommend this to anyone, and their family.
  13. maybe i should wire it up to the car port frame or is that too Mcguyver!...ha what do you guys think? I went through 2 of those fancy adjustable indoor antennas at dick smith with signal boosters and seperate power supply but they all sucked. In the end i just swapped it over for a 5buck rabbit ears which still isnt the best but was better than the other 2. how does one run a secont antenna cable from the roof antenna?
  14. haha...reminds me when i was in osaka and a mate went MIA only to find him spread eagle on the concrete infront of the appartment door we were staying at. we could have drawn a chalk mark around him to get a perfect homocide outline. whats even more funny was it was our first time in japan and we had only been there 2 days so we have no idea how he managed to get back let alone pick the right floor and appartment door.
  15. 4 bars? that means your running 58psi. do you mean 0.4 bars = 5.8psi....what does your stock one read? maybe unplug your soleniod and take it for a spin. if it feels the same then it might be your solenoid. if its slower then it may be your boost guage thats not reading right. just a suggestion.

  23. i got in as an extra for that hanksy spielburg pacific series a while back....man those machine guns are loud in real life and those tanks are crazy. i got paid real good to just lay around and play dead. most of the time we jsut lay around the set all day, get a tan and eat every 2 hrs.
