  1. if your going for looks then 19"s deff if you got the money for them and tyres. nothing wrong with 18's as long as their offsets fill the guards. i think 8.5 and 9.5 are good widths depending on offsets.
  2. hmmm...interesting. the tuner did play with the vct when i had the exhaust cam gear installed and rocker gasket replaced. strange cause it only happended on very hot days. hasnt come back for a while. any other opinions? cheers.
  3. i had a crack in one of the vac hoses that made my blitz dual ebc read funny. but that affected the stock guage too. have you checked your vac hoses? i know sometimes the vac-hose connector at the back of the ebc gets loose abit and hisses/leaks. you know, that funny connector thing that connects the plastic tubes from the ebc to the t-piece. your running more boosts now? so maybe its come loose abit.
  4. The car has developed a chopping sound comming from the block. It first happened a week after an intensive advance driver training day in early feb where the car was breaking hard and spining around, and two times since then. In all 3 times the car was taken for a long drive on 35+deg days. If the car is left to sit and cool down for 20min it goes away. Seems to be temp related? Could it be related to the training day where the car was thrown around and the block was starved of oil for a sec? Oil level is fine It sure doesn't sound healthy. Anyone have any ideas what it could be? cheers MOV01841.MPG
  5. ha...gold. reminds me of superbad, just missing a super mario moustache.
  6. jim berry comes to mind. should have a chat to him whats the price difference between the two?
  7. the guys probably referring to a camber kit that consists of bushes that can be adjusted on the existing bolt. whitelines seem to be the eazy consensis, I have a set.
  8. hands up for making a clip and putting it on youtube. wheres the link!!
  9. nacho libre or a panda...everybody loves a groaping drunk panda
  10. like i said they are the parker lights read my post if you want help, theres heaps of threads if you do a search, stick your index and middle fingers in the hole do a quarter twist and thats it. maybe someone esle can regurtitate what i have written.
  11. traffic lights were out on princes hway from the S bend at malvern to chaddy. people were making their own laws..ha
  12. ive got a slight hiss with my exedy cushion button. from memory ive had it since it was installed. the hiss is a reminder for me not to ride it too long.
  13. +1 dont expect more power and a totally different car. you'd probably wouldnt even notice anything.
  14. either or for me. they are both nice cars, would come down to personal choice on which looks better. the skyliner in me would choose the GTT of course but i've always liked the rexy wagons. the two extra doors and the extra space may come in handy.
  15. for me it was like loosing a leg. made it alot harder getting to places. learnt my lesson and spared heaps of k's on the engine...ha. but getting on the piss and taking the last train home sucks balls.
  16. should clarify this one. if it isnt illegal she can tell the cop to climb a pole next time they pull her over for it. theres nothing when i did my learners about not being allowed to eat. then again my mate was eating away from a chinese takeaway box in a manual. funny as, spoon rice mouth change gears steer spoon rice mouth....etc
  17. the parkers like i said. you dont have to take the headlights out....unless you want to. would be easier to remove the washer botle and airbox if you really wanted to take something out but its unecessary
  18. cable is probably your seatbelt cable to light up the little red guy reminding you to put your seatbelt on.
  19. have you had the safc tuned? get yourself some good old copper plugs and see how they go. im afraid to ask what you paid for your nismo spec s plugs
  20. would be like squeezing a watermelon into a lunch box. get a high flow pannel.....done. I have an arc box myself so im quite happy.
  21. should get 400+k's easy on a stocker depending on how you drive it. more for highway driving. in general the car is very reliable, obviously the more you modify it the more risk of problems as with any car. that said there are always lemons in any bunch of cars usually because of how poorly the previous owner(s) have maintained it so always do a thorough check. they hav plenty more k's on them based on how heavily modded it is. all comes down to how its been maintained before it hits your hands.
  22. around the 2k mark is my guess.
  23. always gives me a chuckle when people thing they have to remove headlights to replace globes. have a good look at the headlight assembly and you should figure it out. it is pretty straight forward, untwist the cap and remove old globe. same goes for parker lights...you dont have to remove headlights for those too as others have thought.
  24. i was gonna reply to your thread but wasnt sure what you meant by your initial question of "friction clutch". I've got an exedy cushion button and lightened flywheel and I think its great. its not that much heavier than the stocker and engages well. it is quite bity when breaking in and rattles on super low revs but thats normal. clunks abit on reverse but other than that its great. would suit your application well if your not going for big power.
  25. +1 for being keen pending final details.
