  1. ha...that should be put in an SAU Christmas book of quotes. for 60k id want the food processor strapped to the back and a cool neon flux capacitor. did they ever come in any other colour than silver?
  2. its probably your tyres.....my old set of tyres started humming at 60kms. the new ones dont hum
  3. if you have already paid for the service then i think its too late. did the tuner balance your tyre? probably not rocket science by i would have left it to the pro tyre places to do it so you can bring it back for them to adjust again seeing as it wasnt fixed in the first place. the vibration might not even be tyre related.
  4. +1 on pod suckin up water if you have one. check you coils and electrics. see how the car runs the next couple days. a couple years ago i drove through a flooded patch at the glen on springy rd in the parents new corolla. blind leading the blind..ha thought id be right untill the water started going over the bonnet..ha. water got into the headlights...there was some wierd corossive looking foamy pink stuff surrounding the coolant/radiator. will never ever drive through a flooded patch of road again even though others will.
  5. howdy and welcome =)
  6. i would definitly notice that car if it drove by. you dont see much of those running around
  7. yeah sounds like a random check....more common now considering its the christmas period. obviously if the rules sway your way then you shouldnt loose sleep over it. try not to expect the worst from an officer when pulled over though there are exceptions. i always get out of the car when pulled over and meet the officer half way so we are on even grounds, its just the way i roll..ha. my indian mate has gotten away with so much with his indian license its not funny.
  8. yeah i dont like my chances either....weighing up my options, unfortunately this ones though seems too be more epensive and uncertain. i guess i'll just have to put the stocker back on.
  9. you might be able to get a key cut if you supply your vin number to nissan maybe? im not definite about that though and i think its quite expensive? or you could source another ignition barrel and key from someone who is wrecking their 34 or maybe buy a completely new one from nissan which would most likely be costly also. get your keys cut next time. put a club lock on your car and keep an eye on it incase someone tries to nick it. you might wanna take the fuel pump fuse out too while your at it.
  10. i just tested mine and got 97db tested in carpark facing a tree right next to a main road with heavy traffic. would the environment where it is tested from affect results. i have a dual N1 exhaust that is angled so its conveniently directed straight at the mic and i would assume produces 1.5x the noise. strange cause the higher he reved the quieter the exhaust note got. i am thinking of getting those silencers to whack in my tips....do you guys think this will make much difference? im thinking of taking it to another place to test with the silencers.
  11. i shawing'd more so on the engine note than the chick. as above...picsofmrsorban =)
  12. brilliant..ha
  13. are there sensors in the seat? i always thought those plugs in the seat were for seatbelt lights. or are you removing the seats and then unpluging the bag sensor to remove a steering wheel? or are you unpluging the sensor to remove the seats? im confused...ha
  14. how much boost are you running?
  15. ive got an exedy one 6.2kg i think and i find take up and accel is better/responsive down low.
  16. i was under the assuption C's have the nylon bushes and everything othe plastic bit incorporated in the sys. its the el-cheapo ones that you have to cut and transfer the original ones over. can someone confirm this with the C's?
  17. that is a pretty nifty spot aye. id second putting behind the drivers seat too.
  18. i dont think you have searched hard enough...lol they are everywhere. alot of perfomance workshops have it. obviously online stores have em too.
  19. im a purist myself. if you want a 34 get a 34. same goes with badges, if you want a gtr get a gtr..lol it is a nice car non the less.
  20. ha...i got toe confused with castor...lol. i think i'll be getting the front re-alined for the next driver training day at sandown. so i take it you guys are running a compromised setup like abo bob?
  21. what i did was use a engine carbon cleaner that you can get from a subie dealer workshop for $15-20. when you start and rev the engine to clean it out, white smoke should come out of any area's in the engine bay that has a leak. smoke came out from my turbo side so i knew it was the gaskets.
  22. you probably could but i think you'll have a hard time getting it off and on without cutting it. i remember i had to cut that bit to transfer it over to a shortshifter. i used to have rough gearchange from 1 to 2 but it disspeared when i installed the short shifter.
  23. so due to a defect i got new advan v103's, camber kits and a tyre saver wheel alignment. the car now feels very floaty at the steering wheel which im not liking. the car previously had a bit of camber and toe in the front, dont know the exact measurements, that gave a more direct handling feel and turnin was alot more crisp. it was great. just wanted to know how many of you guys are running performance v's tyresaver alignments on your daily drivers? i want to get the most out of the tyres but at the same time get some decent handling out of them also. is it an either or scenario? they are asymetrical and stagered set so i cant rotate them which sucks. cheers.
  24. haha....funny how he gags. 5 rotar rx-7...lol
