  1. thanks anyways. whats up with my car....is it a ghost car?? eeeekk!!!
  2. tough break. hope you find it. my mates series 5 rx-7 got stolen the same night he sold it. 1.5 weeks later cops found it dumped in richmond. hope yours was a joy ride like his was. i always ask this question though, did you have a club lock?
  3. traction tyres seem to know their stuff and theyre down our way
  4. i actually bumped my cat going over those nasty thin but high speed bump. so now i have a leak that i have to fix up. been over it many times before and all other ones with no issues, just decided to scrape on this occasion. i avoid that road now ..haha. as for fit on a 33 its a very snug fit. my advice is to heat wrap the waste gate pipe before installing as its almost touching the brake fluid piping. if you have abs it'll be a pain in the ass to do after let alone without it in my case. O2 sensor is fine. Also had to modify my head shield bracket to get it back on. if only i knew all this before hey..ah well. as long as you guys know now =) i still stick by as the best money ever spent though
  5. got myself the dump and 5" metal cat. best money ever spent.
  6. i doubt it will be lifters if the noise sounds so bad that it concerns you. as for lifters my mate wacked some additives made for sticky lifters which has reduced the ticking noise dramatically. oh yeah my other mate and his wrx had something similar. loud as ffff rattle turned out to be one of his timing belt pulleys shearing/wobbling itself off. luckily we picked it up in time before it completely fell off. have a look =)
  7. hey is urs a 1.5?? mine is too but no history ecr33 055589...can someone check. i get nothing on my fast.
  8. i would have asked him to know exactly whats going on.
  9. i punched in my vin and got nothing?? says invalid vin. has anyone else had this problem?
  10. i was dissapointe with initil d special stage ps2 because it doesnt allow full 900 degree rotation on the steering wheel. was fun on the arcade though. top faves are C1 and D1
  11. sounds like a series 2 AFM
  12. i got myself one of those cheap copy ones for $150. throw is firmer and shorter but it didnt come with the plastic bit at the bottom which i had to transfer from the original. its a loose fit so it rattles and the stick itself is solid ally and doesnt have the filler thingy to reduce noise transfer like i think the C's does so it transfers the gearbox noise into the cabin. sounds like a track car gearbox with teh wirring but not as bad. i actually dont mind the wirring but hate the rattling. if i were to do it again id spend abit more and get an original c's. as for the length its about 1.5 cm shorter as i just cut off the excess thread.
  13. im sure if you have an accident it will cut just like any other car that is unless u decide to pull your hand brake up just before impact...lol. thats what the hand brake safety switch is for i guess. i used to run it 50secs then i got sick of it idling for so long so i put it down to 30 just enough time for it to shut off and the alarm to auto arm.
  14. nigo (bape) is actually pretty young and much respect to him building his empire up from scratch. though it is pretty damn ugly it is still iconic. its probably his shit box work car..ha. if i was him id do the same just because i could!
  15. one of the boys from evolution R?? that kinda puts my mind at ease. is there a special arrangement for paid members?
  16. id like to know the history of RECustoms ie the owners their tuners customer cars theyve done ect. dropped by the other day and was impressed with the setup. would like to know if its not just all show..lol bonus is theyre just around the corner from me too =)
  17. not too sure what bolts ur talking about but i went to bunnings and got myself a thread remover and a 1.5mm drill bit. u just drill the hole in the centre insert the thread remover and unscrew it. worked for me. cost about 18bucks all up. not sure if its any goof for stubborn tight bolts though.
  18. i have seen grills without the s. they look tops. kinda like the r32gtr grills. anyone knwo where i can get one of those?
  19. doesnt matter what car they drive, i just hate the tools that drive them. when someone has a brain fart infront of me i just shake my head, mumble some obsanities to myself, maybe give them a good look, take a deep breath and get over it. i recon flipping the bird is one of the most offensive gestures you can give another driver and i never do it. there are big headed crazy people out there with easily bruised egos that just want an excuse like that to go ken bruce on ya. glad to hear everyones alright. i always turn up my safety dial and tool radar up a couple knotches whenever theres kids in the car. P.S. tomk, at least you accepted that you have a problem which is a start =)
  20. now thats a nice a meatball!! i mean levin!
  21. ha...i guess they arent as hard to find as i thought. darn i dont feel special anymore
  22. all you have to do is quarter twist it open like any other light bulb fitting. you just need smaller hands. get your gf to do it. this is for an r33. its just a tight fit. remember righty tighty lefty loosy =).
  23. also interested...mine are FR: 345 FL: 340 RR: 350 RL:350 wonder if this is alright? sounds like you've dumped yours abit hey? are you still on stock sus or aftermarket?
  24. ive got a dual n1. they are the dogs nuts. wouldnt swap em for anything. good luck in finding one though as theyre not made anymore and hard to come by. theres also a trust version out there too
