  1. $234 fitted and balanced each from a local tyre shop for the 255s AR1
  2. Cherokee Trackhawk is being sold here in Australia this year. Cherokee with a hellcat engine, 0-100km/hr in 3.7 seconds
  3. Not alot of options for anything wider than a 255 in 17" wheels Was considering some Nitto 275 NT01 all around, but the Nankang AR1 255 all around might be a better option harry? Can anyone recommend a seller for the Nankang AR1 in Brisbane? or interstate even?
  4. The larger silicone ones seem harder to come by and can only find rubber ones bigger than 10mm. Down side to rubber ones is oil resistance and they will start to crack.
  5. It has a nitto pump. I didnt have access to an accusump this time so I just gravity fed with a big funnel oil through the turbo oil feed and it managed to do the trick and the oil light turned off after cranking it over pretty quickly. Sounds like the oil pump is draining completely dry maybe?
  6. No oil pressure after car sits for a long time So I have a RB25 neo engine that sat and didn't run for years. First time I tried to turn it over I could not get the oil pressure light to turn off after cranking it for along time repeatedly with the crank angle sensor unplugged. The oil pressure switch turned out to be working fine after putting an oil pressure gauge on it while trying to crank the engine and there was absolutely zero oil pressure. Managed to get a hold of an accumsump and push oil through the engine which ended up solving the problem. The engine now has pressure, took the accusump off cranks and runs fine with oil pressure. Ran and drove the car for a few weeks no problems than it sat again for a few months and now back to no oil pressure while cranking the engine with the cas off. Has anyone heard of this problem before? Seems like there has to be some leak between the pump the pick up. I also have quite alot of oil pressure on idle from what I could remember 80 - 90 psi.
  7. Yeah, I'm not planning on running one plus I am trying to shave off as much weight as I possibly can.
  8. So the standard pump, belt, bracket and bolts weighs 4kgs. The lines and reservior are probably another two kilos plus the extra power steer fluid if you can mount the pump closer to the rack. I got my hands on an mrs power steering pump and they weigh 4.6kgs. I think it can be done weight neutral. maybe even less weight and off the front the car if I can fit it under the starter motor.
  9. Yep, no cage but I am leaning towards putting a half cage in. I think there are an easy 20kgs I can still take out of the front, 35kgs really pushing it.
  10. Heights are way off as I have just changed around suspension and arms around, just wanted to get an idea of total weight. RB25 Neo engine, standard panels and glass. No AC/heater/radio. Tried to remove as many non essential, brackets, bolts/nuts, wiring as possible. With 1/3 tank of fuel, gutted interior except for roof lining, dash, center console, door cards, drivers seat (bride zeta 3) and power windows. Small lithium battery behind passenger. R33 Gtst brakes front and rear, all of the suspension is after market, 17X9.5 gram heavies with 255s all round.
  11. Rubber location as they come from weaponx needs a taller bracket, spacer, and longer fasteners. Makes more sense to reverse the rubbers and move them lower (bottom right coil), going to draw up some brackets in cad, then print them out. Standard Neo coil
  12. I agree Justin that a class one looks too tall, but I meant to try and fit another, smaller powersteering pump under there. Going to try and get a hold of a toyota mr-s power steering pump. The astra pumps look abit too big/heavy for my liking plus I dont want to dirty my car with an opel part. I just weighed a gtr pump with the pulley, belt, bracket and bolts and they come in at 4kgs. Will weigh the lines and resevior and lines when I pull it off.
  13. Thought I'd start a thread for the s-chassis folk. Digital hanging scales are are my favourite toy at the moment, trying to get as much weight as possible out of my 180sx and think I can get it close to 1100kgs with stock panels and glass windows with an RB25. Already know trying to corner balance the is going to be alot of fun and I'll do a more detailed write up soon.
