Hi, i was wondering is a HKS GT2540 BB turbo an good upgrade for the RB20DET ?? it will have a matching HKS 2 into 1 stainless dump pipe (dont exactly know what model it is) and an S-AFC (knob version), DOES anyone know if this is a good upgrade and what power figures will it produce?? current modz: FMIC, Stealth FX BOV HKS Full exhaust with Super Dragger AVCR Custom Apexi Intake (aluminium piping) do you think this will give good power?? and wat RPM will i expect the boost to kick in?? will there be any lag??? ur help is appreciated!!

dude ...u may wanna check your intercooler piping clamps and make sure they are tight and not leaking .... check for vacum leaks etc .. and u may wanna re-set ur ECU especially after u have added extra bolt - on modz. also check the exhaust manifold for cracks and u may wanna replace the gaskets etc... if u have not done that yet ..but if igured u have since u replaced the turbz already ..

yeh i got the sparkies changed to a ngk r copper items ... pre gap to 0.8 .. but the original ones that was in there was HKS irridiums ..and they actually still looks ok might actually put them back on after cleaning .. yeh i was amazed how it held 1.09 bar ...and the turbo i was still using was the stock r32 turbo .... i wonder if it will still hold the boost levels when i wack the r33 turbo with thr r32 actuator ... well see how that puppy goes .. about SAFC / power fc .. im thinking of getting one ...but the cash is out of the question at the moment ..until i sell my 7in pioneer indash dvd touchscreen wit tv tuner and spare 7inch sceen...... if yah know anyone who is looking to buy one ... tell them to check me out http://forums.fastfours.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=93481

the r32 stock turbos can handle up to 300hp with correct modz, tuning.. as r33 stockies can handle up to 400hp ... free bump

ok ok .. just got my FMIC and AVCR fitted ... but dunno really how to tune the AVCR .. ive noticed that with the AVCR switched off mode - the car runs smooth but sort of lost power .. but once i have the AVCR setting to B (high boost setting) with 1.1bar & 60% duty the car actually only hits 1.09bar ,with 98% throttle, 6589rpm and 78klms ..is dat a good / fair enuf tuning for a 1.1bar of boost?? would it cause damage to my engine? i dont feel power loss in the top end but sometimes it back fires ...could dat be the GFB BOV not being tuned correctly? modz are: GFB Stealth plumb back BOV AVCR RUF FMIC hks Pod, hks exhaust setup as: 3inch dump / front pipe --> 3.5inch high flow cat -> 3.5inch resonator --> then finally 4inch piping all the way to the hks supper dragger! wot kind of a exhaust setup is dat?? i was told by some mob that its a HKS GTR exhaust setup. and dont bother changing .. (so i didnt) but do u think i could be having back pressure issues?? who could i go to get my AVCR & GFB BOV tuned?? wot power figures could i be expecting once all tuned??

fark ... my r32 with stock turbo only pulled 135.5 rwkw on standard boost .. with the only mods .. hks filter, hks full exhaust, standard copper ngk plugs (non iridium) ............ now that i got the fmic and new bov ...will i get more power increase?? also i have the r33 stock turbs as well but not fitted yet and i dont know if this is worth the hassle of doing without causing strain on the engine ..??? also could i boost more if i used the r33 turbo but using the r32 actuator?? will it cause damage to the turbo / engine?? and how much boost could i run? and wot power figures should i expect? cheers

i resetted my ecu everytime i had a bolt on upgrade e.g. filter, sparkies, fmic, full exhaust etc.. and made a big diff .. all i did was disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and turned on every single thing i could think of e.g. lights, rear demister (wit ignition key to start), hold down the horn button, pressed down the brake pedal etc ... then after 30mins i plugged in the negative cable again and start the car with full continuous x3 revs to constant 3500rpm then gradually to 7000rpm ....then x2 full revs from 0-7000rpm .. after that i took the car for a hard run and the car runs hard and quite. try it outz
