  1. Have a look at dyno read outs it shows the torque curve starting about 2200 on mine anything below that is hurting you motor. Read execive wear as oil is not up to it and if you listen you'll hear your motor groaning and its saying put me lower gear please.
  2. Hey Golks what forum do you run upthere i'm allways looking for good forums
  3. Sounds like you melted something all ican suggest is follow the sterio illum wire throught the maze but it looks like a full dash pullout might be in order to do that if you can test the illum wire for connectivity from fuse box you could allways disconnect it from illum harness and see if that fixes it. but its sounds like a real mess up and an autoelec job to me.
  4. Just had a look at photos but they are a bit close up to judge. the bumper may be able to fix with a heat gun and respray. As for the boot lid pretty hard to say without looking inside to see whats in the way but doubt it will be unfixable. as for repairers Moss st is your best bet, there are quite a few there to get quotes, I use Newlife Bodyworks on the left before lights of moss and kingstown.
  5. Yeah I watched at 1pm sunday was good to see the sport on tv at last. was a shame the Qld Option1 car lost the final as he beat him in the lead up race. Heres hoping to see lots more!
  6. I reconditioned my KYBs had spare set of originals was pretty cheap compared to new set and warrantied for a year, the guy assured me they were as good as new, I did it myself (the swap) and looked in yellow pages for reconditioners, the only hard part is when you put them back in as the swing arm needs to be pushed down about an inch to fit the shock in, I did this with a long bar and is not very hard really but you have coilovers so is different to mine, as to driving on them I can only imagine bad handling and more damage to shocks but good driving and going slow over rough stuff will help, I dont think they will break but dont take my word for it.
  7. Watching now is awesome thanks for the knowledge
  8. the group buys have a kit
  9. Good photos NG a truely white wedding.
  10. I must admit tha 16th cruise with 8 cars was the best I've been on as no one got lost we followed easily and even when they got way ahead I found them no wuzas. Not beening an xpert I think groups of ten is agood idea would take a bit more org but with uhf a leader could get a group to where it is happenin and cruz would stay in shape. We could have diff groups too like gramps driver group etc. Its late and im prob babblin tell me to shut up
  11. did I miss something here or is there gunna be a cruise or not as this voice in my head says Cruise CRUise CRUISE and cant make it go away, it looks as if there is a meet at crazies but can't figure what night.
  12. Yeah I didn't think the plenum idea would be straitforward and was wondering what had to change for that to happen, alot more to it than just changing plenum and also plumbing the bov back to factory would be a major as well. rmahnovetsky has plumbing pipes for fmic as a group buy but they run back over radiator and would loose atmo bov (but would fill that hole u just cut though) so you have forward plenum 4 sale?
  13. Yeah I suppose alota ppl will be drinking Anzac day makes no diff to me but another day perhaps?
  14. I was refering to the cat being used to remove emissions that weren't present with leaded fuel. leaded cars don't have cat. A few years ago Britain was considering going back to leaded fuel because of cat failures (and people like you) releasing carciogens into atmosphere.
  15. I have purchased a FMIC and mounted it in car (was fun) but now I am considering the piping options. 1. back to standard pipes on left side 2. through R/h engine bay over fan to cast pipe 3. forward facing plenum All three have good and bad points and cost seems the major factor but is the plenum worth the cost compared to other two and is 2 better than 1? Any theads relating to this? Any help much appriciated:cool:
  16. My crap unbalancable tokyo tyres kept me outa that, fixed that today, But am keen to see the footage as well.
  17. I have a set of r32 GTR rims on my R33 tyres are 225*50*16 the fit very nicely but needed wheel alignment. it is lowered 1" and stiff shocks but has not scraped gaurds ever hope this helps.
  18. Yeah he did alot of the work himself melted 3 motors with the nos, was also sponsored by mod shop but work on motor was done by someone with expertise in that area.
  19. Pod filter with 3" zoorst, let it breathe you notice it, after that i'd go shocks and maybe lowered suspension or better springs then go the eletro mods.
  20. When i got my car I went through a new set of rear tyres in 3 months, I went from a 1300 323 to my powerhouse, having driven for over 20 yrs power is easy to control now, but back when .. if I had this car then, I would be in some serious trouble (and the envy of every living soul now its just nonline owners) Conclusion:- heaps of power handles like a dream supercar at affordable price, accidents happen and they're sometimes with uninsured ppl in the wrong, if you an "aware" type of driver with experience I'd say no worries but if not go the full comp.
  21. tuff33 owns it, is a cool looking 4 door and Al is a good bloke to boot.
  22. When I got my car it had KYB shocks but one rear was scratched during compliance so I had to drive around on standard shocks untill I had both rear reco'd. Completely different driving experience, the back bogged down on accl and swung around like a boat Now its better than ever sits like a pontoon cause theyr not tooo hard but pinapples cured body swing.
  23. An exworkmate of mine Nick built a 3ltr with 25 head it cost him 5000 with forged pistons blue balance to run on no2 in VN for burnout comp works well havent seen him since I left.
  24. GTR head will flow much betterer than standard 3ltr
