  1. I agree with Marc, quality is your guide on this sort of equipment, they get a fair pounding esp on our roads, have you looked at Option1 garage's site? http://www.option1garage.com.au/
  2. At 1" lower mine was at the limit, if I went any lower I would need adjustable arms, so I was told by John at Option1 garage.

  5. Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas. My thoughts go out to those in less fortunate circumstances than myself, I hope that a ray of happiness is shone upon them.
  6. I havent changed the temp on mine since last summer or even longer as its always at 24C but I noticed the other day that when the unit is off warm/hot air was coming out the foot wells, so i turned on the aircon and it went away but when i turned it off the air got hot again, I put this down to the valve that controls the water for the heater element, so I did a bit of fiddling with temp controller, I turned it down to 18 then up to 32 and still the air was hot so I kept doing it for quite some time and now it seems I have it turned off as there is no hot air! My question is, has anyone had/done this before? Is it a sign of bad things? I ask because its apretty huge job to get at the heater core and would do it if needed but not really if its OK.
  7. I went back again today and they did a excellent job this time got all the little details that makes it worth it, it just makes sense to use a water conscious company these days.

  15. Seeing as we are talking non skyline road adventures I thought I would add my own. My adventure in brisbane traffic started when I decided to ride my bike to work, seeing as I am having problems with my Etoll transponder for the bike I decided to go via the SthE FWY instead of the Logan MWY. So I get on at nujooloo rd following this chick on another bike, she was fat and I mean it was like a teenager hanging off each side lol, anyway I got over the hill before springwood and the traffic was stopped, I zigged and zagged and got off at underwood rd, where she passed me stil on the MWY, Logan rd was pretty good and I got back on the SEFWY and into the T2 lane where I see her in the distance, so much for my detour Ha. I was going great until a bit past Mt gravat where it was stopped again, I do the lane and shoulder ride/squeeze and passed a silver32 and a purple33GTR with SCC sticker! plus countless, countless other cars, while puttering along the shoulder I ran over something so I stopped and it was one of those flexy screwdrivers, a small bonus woohoo. I Finally get to the Riverside Xpway where 2 lanes are blocked, and I am thinking 'come on people no need to gawk just move along and OMG look at that a 1tonner refrigerated on its side!!!'. I had not been this way to Ashmore from here and got a bit lost between riverside and Milton rd, finally I got to Milton rd where guess what??? the trafiic was stopped yet again courtesy of some looseunit or storm bring down a power pole, milton rd is exicting to do the lane squeeze on (not) and I might add the ride to work from here went quite good phew, I got to work on time somehow.

    Grrr... Rant...

I can relate to your experience having lived on a hill road myself, but we realised that people do this stuff, sure its annoying but unless your perfect (and dont understand) you cant judge, I abused the f**k out of the ones that I encountered but thats as far as it went, the community at large had the same sort of attitude, the ones that jumped on the cops just ended up with more of thier attention sic.
  20. New turbo eh Col, any other goodies?

  22. I would like to ad the reasons I went the microtech. which is the real question here. First of all it is Australian made. Backup support with their own forum http://www.microtechefi.com/ When I bought it, the pwfc was plentiful and highly recomended but I just didnt like the idea of buying something with no local backup
