  2. Yes ditch hicas, I had success with the Tomei unit.
  3. The manual says to, I just zip tied it to the unit.
  4. forgive me if I wrong but you might find that is your shocks that are too stiff.

  10. the tie rod end is the bit that swivels on the steering near each wheel when you turn the wheel, your best off taking it somewhere to get it replaced because you will need a wheel alignment after. did you check the fuses? my parkers would blow the fuse untill I fixed the earth piont.
  11. according to my tuner its not so much the oil (depending on blowby) but the hot air going into the intake that makes it bad, I have been toying with the idea of using my old side mount intercooler (or a cutdown one) as a catch can, plumbed back to the plenum, any bad side to this idea?

  13. It could be any number of things, what other mods have been done to the car? Was it tuned for the fmic and did you get it tuned after? Have you tried resetting the ECU (disconnect battery for a min)? If they welded on the car without disconnecting the battery it could of disturbed any number of electrical components.
  14. Seeing as its not craked right through, it could be braise welded with success, I have braised vices that have cracked and they work fine. You would still have to preheat and most important post cooldown in a heat blanket.

  16. Lol @ gotRICE? Im sure you know what it doesnt do. If it is a JPN ecu it would be tuned for thier 100ron fuel and not much good for our 98ron. It would work in your car but you may detonate it to death, you would be better off with a PFC or something.
  17. What turbo flange is on it? What make or who made it? Is it RB25 or 26? Any pics?
  18. Just in case you are wondering where exactly to cut that hole, the centre is the white dot and depending on the size of your piping go 5-6mm bigger so you can line it.
  19. Hicas and power steering are related somehow, I got rid of the Hicas for this reason. Every time it rained my hicas light would come on and no power steering. Try replugging all the plugs on the hicas (near the diff) and power steering (under the bonnet) I used elec contact clearner and it worked untill it rained again.

  21. Replace the whole thing, if that bit is stuffed the rest isnt far off.

I went for a MAP because my tuner prefers it, he put it this way to me, although the AFM is a good bit of gear he has had more problems with that one piece of equipment than any other but finding out it is the AFM to be the problem is the real reason he prefers the MAP sensor, as for driveabilty I didnt really notice anything except the power increase.
