  8. I would check it out when its cold, i have some stories about this and none of them good. Paying someone to look it over for you is your best bet though and you can get mechanical insurance from them, as they cant spot everything.
  9. HaHa! An engineer told me that he was pulled over and defected for mods that he had approved, it was then up to him to clear it.
  10. Damn I hate that. Rb30 in the coupe, should motor on good.
  11. As per my sig. Am I reading psi on the right on this chart reaching 25psi . I thought it was 16psi R33 2.5 Microtech LT12 3" split dump, back malpassi fuel reg Walbro pump Pod Fmic HC_Dyno_050505__Medium_.bmp
  12. If it was me I'd go to the $700 repairer talk to the owner, plead poverty and pay him directly not the owner of the car.
  13. Is the standard boost gauge on my car is electric???? If so, is there a flat panel display that shows this same reading in psi/bar out there. Failing that how hard would it be to make one? I have the microtech handcontroler so I just want a boost gauge (which it has) that matches in style with glance at large numbers. And while I'm at it how hard would be to rigg up a shift LED? I know this is not an electronics forum so thanks for your paitence.
  14. Well I'm in for pit crew.
  15. I have to agree with EVLO32 although I have a microtech! If you plan to do gradual mods a remap is costly @600 a pop.
  16. mine did the same when I got it, was lowered but no wheel alignment and rear tyres where running on the inside of the tread.
  17. Same symtoms as a another car I had, took ages to find it as intermitant faults are hard to pin point, turned out to be the crank angle sensor too.
  18. The preview post window has gone completely? I liked this feature as it made browsing forums so much quicker. Is it possible for individuals to have this option back on, like it is off by default but I can have it? also is it able to filter text from images? The whole thing is running great for me, except for my pm sent folder.
  19. Yes these cars grow on you right from the start, happy kilometres.
  20. Dr_Drift on here is highly recommended
  21. Its the filament inside that needs cleaning. aerostart is good.
  22. I personally wouldnt rebuild turbos myself they are a fined tuned piece of machinery and need delicate balancing ie you just cant throw some new bushes in, try a truck place they might know of turbo reconditioners.
  23. accquired one thanks
  24. someone must know where to source them???
  25. Here is one result from a search http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...p?showtopic=408
