  2. Well I've been to asia & NZ and asian roads are complete chaos I was surprised that no one died in front of me or behind, but they seem to realise that they ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES ON THE ROAD which seems to be the opposite of OZ tradition, aussies just drive there cars and only stop because they have to, there are good drivers out there but there are more out there divers with no real idea of what they are doing, they should be on public transport and probably want to be but where is it?
  3. Have you opened your own shop yet Dan?
  4. I have had a problem with the hicas light coming on when its raining and the sytem goes dead. I refitted all the plugs and sprayed them with lanosol, fixed the problem for a year when it happened again I resprayed them and it worked straight away. I dont think this is your problem though, just a heads up on nissan looms.
  5. I got all the info I needed for my DYI install off this site do a search because there are different ways to do it, mine runs back to the factory pipes on the left side others you have to cut a hole in the engine bay and trim the fan as well, Come to think of it there is a guide in the Hybrid site.
  6. Interesting they have a turbo calc on that site. When I put in 2400cc on 20psi at 7000rpm it reco a gt25 but put in 2600cc and it reco at gt30 (has no 2500) so our cars sit between the garret types and explains to me why the gt25 runs out of puff and the gt30 is laggy, too bad they don't make a gt27.5 LOL!
  7. you have all the fun, a good thing to keep the boredom at bay anyway.
  8. Does your fuel cap woosh when you unscrew it? Because if it doesnt its not holding pressure and is leaking. Every time I reverse I smell petrol too but I'm getting around 400ks too.
  9. what I meant is that if they are old or incorrectly gapped it could affect the economy. the gap bit was just a guide line and a 2c suggestion.
  10. Thanks for the link Mushroom
  11. No one has mention spark plugs, they affect fuel economy too, if your over 12psi a closer gap of .8 is recommened but your tuner should be on to that. MY 2c
  12. Saw this happen to a newbie so yes deserve the monster tag
  13. I've been told not to recharge my mobile while the car is moving due to surging and ? Any different with laptop? Is there a stabilizer thats not too $$ ?
  14. I was reading a thread where they were discussing spark plugs and if you got the wrong ones (no R in plug no.) this happens and is also not good for ecu.
  15. a bigger intercooler will bring down temps but only when moving a cold air box will help with stationary temps
  16. search!
  17. Is the shock a stock one? if not just get the shock reconditioned, but depends on why it is leaking, if its overuse get both done, I had both done to be sure, look in yellow pages. Child restraints are hard to fit cause you have to take out the parcel shelve and seats and get to them in the boot, they HAVE to be the right ones with the right bolts, washes but any compliance place should be able to fit them or know where to get them. try a search on here.
  18. Petition to open Lakeside Posted in Qld section, everybody sign it!
  19. All this documentation floating around, can any of you post it up? or let me photocopy?
  20. Thanks Sydneykid I'm glad we have a guide to gaps now (not a bible) but experience beats textbooks. And thanks again to all who helped.
  21. Not quite, its a bit smaller in diameter but works fine on 212kw for a year now.
  22. Thanks for that Trex101 but now I'm totally confused as alot of members here have stated that they gap theirs at .8, unless they are all running high boost.
  23. MAP stands for Manifold Air Pressure and the senor reads pos and neg pressures the ecu then adjusts the settings to accomodate. MAF stands for Manifold Air Flow and uses the air flow meter. You need one or the other.
  24. From what I've reseached so far the standard gap for copper is .8 and Iridium/Platinum is 1.1 some have shortened the gap to .8 in the I/P plugs due to high boost (12+psi) due to the spark being blown out by that much boost and the shorter gap fixed the problem, so it speaks for itself.
  25. If you tighten the plug tooo much they can be a real @#$%^& to get out. The more feedback the better, just to confirm I am on the right track.
