  6. I did a search and came back with 100+ results soooo... I know there are three different types of plugs Copper Platinum Iridium I have heard of gaps from 0.8 to 1.1 Platinum and Iridium last longer but how much under normal driving? I met a fellow member and he uses coppers every 10k. Mine are Iridiums and they've lasted 100k. I have learnt that the gap depends on the boost you are running, for stock the gap is 1.1mm if you are running 12psi or above 0.8 is recomended, as for plugs there is no perfomance gain to be gained from any but the life of the plug is greatly increased with platinum (80,000ks) and better still with iridium (100,000-160,000ks) compared to coppers which are recomended to change at 5,000ks although some say they last to 10,000 upto 40,000, if you can change them yourself go the coppers recomended below, I am using iridiums and they have been in there for 100,000k now and still good, I know because I keep pulling them out when something else stuffs up. Price wise they arent worth it really, I have been told that they are good in motors where changing the plugs are an absolute pain. Generally speaking if a plug has a higher number than another it runs a colder heat range. eg. BCPR6ES ..... BCPR7ES colder plugs are good for preignition troubles. Boost effects spark gap at 12 psi and above, the gap narrows down to 0.8. FOR COPPER They are good to 5k last at least 10k up to 40k NGK for RB25det................. BKR6EYA or Platimum PFR5G-11 NGK for rb20/26det............. BCPR6ES or Platimum PFR6A-11 NGK for RB25NEOdet............ BCPR6ES or Platimum PFR6A-11 For PLATINUM Good to 80k NGK for RB25det................. PFR5G-11 NGK for rb20/26det............. PFR6A-11 NGK for RB25NEOdet............ PFR6A-11 NGKs Website For IRIDIUM Good to 150k NKG for RB25det................ BKR5EIX-11 NKG for RB25neo............... BKR6EIX-11 NKG for RB20/26det........... BCPR6EIX-11 Denso for Rb25det............. IK20 Denso for Rb25det.. cold.... IK22 And go Here for a good SAU price on the Iridium plugs. If you change your plugs and still have misfire isssues especially around the 3,000 - 5,000 rpm range it could be your coil packs are stuffed, its fairly common considering mine was 10 yrs old when mine started arcing out. Splitfire coilpacks are the best replacement and you can get a great deal from Dan (if he gives me a link)
  7. Same power as me with stock turbo (212) been like that for a year now but I dont do track work yet.
  8. Hah ha ha ha lol!I can almost hear the stirrings in their pants at the mention of these cars
  9. Yeah whats the story with this, they were selling it at pump prices, the under the uncounter stuff, but now it costs an arm and a leg extra?
  10. Most bogan abuse I have copped would be from a certain age group, that I would say is in the 16 to late twenty's and is it also a coincidence that age bracket is targeted by the police and insurance COs? In my opion (limited as it is) its because they are at an age when they are in a formulative state, and if their brain power is not upto the tasks/ conclusions that bring success its blamed on a multitude of reasons and/or taken out on targets as direct verbal or physical abuse, they're angry some of this mob, some grow out of it, some don't, like the corolla driver that abused my R33 and a R32 parked in a bob janes lot, we were the only one there, he would of been in his 40-50s, and he wasn't dressed bogan like either. As a teenager we were labeled bogans because we lived 5ks from the surf, Sawtell/Toormina, we surfed but we were still westies to the surfers and that attitude sucks! I must admit that this whole labelling thing was useful in tourist season as we were locals, so in part we behaved as bogans because thats what was expected of us, I know some of the surfers did worse than us but it was `cool' for them to do this stuff. Bogan abuse is just an example of a certain percent of societies attitude thats it OK to abuse.
  11. awesome never seen this done before
  12. Or the chance for SAU to have one on hand for members.
  13. Done!
  14. OK so what about Cannon Hill, I've attended a few at the car park behind Macas there? I really don't want or need blueys attention.
  15. The question was/is, Why 200kw, above that your looking at fairly serious mods, and the mods to get this magical figure can be done by anyone with the basic knowledge of cars (except maybe the tune), does this answer your question?
  16. is springwood too far south?
  17. Ah another silver beast, looks good enjoy!
  18. The most you can safely get from stock internals is around the 250 kw mark but the standard turbo is limited to 12 or so psi which is around the 200 kw mark, thats with all the support mods. 200kw = 13s 250kw = low 13s/high 12s if in doubt do a search!
  19. On a side note the stop points on my sunroof need to be adjusted as it doesnt close properly anyone know how to do this or a link?
  20. Yeah I should of thought of that if your clutch system was empty you must have a leak, usually the slave or master cylinders, if it was me I would reco both.
  21. Good to hear that you sorted out all the bugs. Enjoy!
  22. There is an adjuster on the clutch pedal, if your clutch isnt slipping, then it might just need a bit of adjustment. Mine was the same after a new clutch, it had bedded in and just needed a bit less free movement on the pedal travel.

  25. Hungry6 can you give me the details of Craig Smiley as I aslo have a question about a camera fine, I read in the media that they are not supposed to be set up on a downhill section of road. Is this true? If so is it worth defending and do I need legal rep?
