I have new walbro fuel pump, new filter and malpassi regulator. 180bfj20det- I am running 1bar boost, standard r33 turbo, large FMIC with 2 1/4" piping and no blow by we can find, will check for oil today. Thanks RB30-POWER will check plugs again but injectors or carbon sounds like likely suspects to me will endeavour to check these. Thanks for your replies

Can anyone suggest any/all causes for pinging as my tuner is is going crazy. I am running a Microtech MT12 on BP ultimate and have a ping at the 5500 and above, he retarded the timing still there, changed timing belt still there, removed the cat no change, tryed a different crank angle senor still there. I cant think of anything else to change if youz can it would be greatly appreciated.

When I bought my car it was lowered an 1" with a KYB climb gear package and was going though tyres like mad so after a bit of research I found that the adjustment in stock cambers was just enough to give a good alignment without going the adjustable stuff and at the same time I had pineapples and nolathane bushes fitted which improved handling considerably, my next step is to find a good sway bar for the rear.

I talked about this with Ben at Hardcore Racing today, he is a mechanical engineer and he said that mods should only be defected by accredited persons as he can certify something but any wally with a badge can defect it and then its up to you to defend it, to this end he has a deposition to the police asking to clarify this and he is in a postion to change this FU system by lobbying. As to my bonnet he told me the ADRs for that year of production (1996) apply to my car and what will pass for mine could be different for a 1997 car and so on, and as the years go on the tougher the rules, so a 1988 car will have less restrictions than a 1998 car etc. If I find out more I will keep you posted.

I am most definately a lucky SOB then, they prob felt guilty about trying to induce me to race or something. the boost god must be watching over me.

Basically I posted for this reason as I've heard conflicting opinions also and have had bonnet for 4 months now on daily driver.

I was pulled over on the way home by an unmarked commonwhore trying to get me to race em and they went over the whole car and thankfully didnt find anything to book me for but they did warn me that although the bonnet isn't illegal, it is a liability in an accident if the carbon fibre shatters and causes damage/injury.

Doesnt say bugger all on them! I fitted 8" tires first off and they looked too small (the walls bowed in) and with 9" tyres they look right. They not resprayed as ive scraped (sic, gags) one on gutter.

I have been informed that these wheels may be off a Vspec as they are wider than spec GTR anybody have Vspec wheels to compare?

Thanks Strutto, I have researched and the walbro seems to be a good match for the r33 as it is an easy fit compared to others and as mentioned alot quieter, just seems expensive so I posted for a better deal which seems to have worked.

Anyone Heard of/used these pumps was quoted $250 for just the pump, theyr rated to 500hp so should be all I need for the moment.

A stock cooler will only flow upto 10psi i think, I get a bit of lag with mine but with the extra boost its not really noticeable.

I have been told by many people that the wheels on my car are r32 gtr but today I compared them to known gtr wheels and they are slightly different in that they havent the " Nissan forged wheel" writing around the hub, no writing at all there and they are 9" not 8" wide, but are 16" rims. As the pics show. Does anyone know these rims? They are very light weight wise.

if you have a desire to get really annoyed, like stuff dropping in eyes/hair, working on something thats been heated/cooled a thousand times so nothing will undo, working in tight spaces that maybe accessable if your standing and have safe lifting devices go ahead. Me I cant get a trolley jack under mine and leave the underside to people who like it.

There are two 12mmm hex head screws on the inside of wheel well one is on the edge near wheel the other is about 150-200mm from that towards the front.

Well at least i found out that there is a problem and am not going to damage anything now, so turned out good in that respect.

Who asked your opinion anyway ?

yeah I can post my results 156kw cauase theres a problem somewhere but I would of found out an hour earlier and have time to get to my tuner to fix it, but somebody let somebody else jump the que, so I had to wait for an hour while every had lunch, then have my run, then go to tuner who was just leaving and cant look at it until monday. Umm sorry bout that. What model are you talking about if its a r33s2 you could compare with mine as I live in Bogan too.

Well I was after info on the sunroof as mine wont shut poperly and need to look at manual to see if gives info on adjusting stop positions.
