  1. When I installed my FMIC I was advised to retune as there is a danger of leaning out.
  2. White R34 GTR in hemmant area this morning, awesome car!
  3. I can confirm that hicas and powersteer are linked do a search theres a post the same as this about a day ago
  4. if not it should be
  5. It used to vent whenever I backed of the pedal but at higher boost that was really annoying so I woung the screw in about 3/4 and now it vents at about 3200rpm and above, as I said before the flutter is the extra store of gas in the fmic. b4 it used to vent and stop now it vents and flutters until fmic is empty.
  6. No wonder he could produce award wining machinery.
  7. Dan I think your thread will reach 10 but this post may save it.
  8. My BOV didnt make the flutter until i installed fmic and upped boost I assumed the flutter was the intial venting them the stored pressure from fmic, but it does vent and alot louder now with extra boost. so ( not being argumentive) it does vent as normal just not all the time, only at certain boost pressure, this is what Ive been told by mech.
  9. Yes forgot about that as they are high tensile bolts will blunt normal drill.
  10. What he means is take everything off untill you can get to stud with drill and drill a hole in the centre of it, then use an ezyout ( a tool that looks a bit like self tapper srew but has lefthand thread) and screw it out. You may be lucky and be able to get it with vice grips or even a centre punch and tap it around if it is loose enough but being manifold I doubt it. Be careful not to drill at an angle as it will stuff the thread and make unscrewing (at an angle) awkward.
  11. The pipe off the controller goes into the turbo actuator, so its straight from pipe (as you see it) to boost control to turbo. The other pipe goes to plumback pipe which aint being used.
  12. here is pic of mine I know its diff type but may help
  13. Your not old til you hit 40 enjoy til then
  14. Certainly stands apart from the rest, bet they arent releasing it so as to charge an arm and torso for it.
  15. What do I know? SFA but I do know the hicas is linked to the speed of your vehicle and that when hicas cuts out so does power steering as mine does when it gets wet:rant: I solved this by spraying lanosol on the connectors and it stopped but dont think this is your problem. It sounds like a speedo/wiring sort of thing but I know SFA.
  16. As an apprentice our work truck was an international with no syncros so I had to learn pretty damm fast how to double clutch. they way I learnt was to listen to to revs (no taco)at certain speeds so if I had to change to that gear at that speed i'd rev to that sound and it would slip in with no crunch, up was allways easier than down.

its a long way off to make plans for me but being a thursday I could help [email protected]
  23. I've hit 3 Roo's so far, one was standing in the middle of the road and as I approached I slowed down and moved to the shoulder was doing about 30k by then and he stuck his head in my headlight:rant: body smacked into front mudguard. Second one jumped of a bank above me and landed about 5mts in front, just enough time to brake hard but not to miss him, he bounced off into the scrub, hope he died. The last one jumped out of the bush and went for the headlight again but missed and got the front wheel straight over his head, that one died. Minor damage both times but if your driving at dusk/dawn beware they're out there.
