  1. WOW!!! just got the car back, i love the koni shock/king springs setup, i didnt get the fornt camber kit coz the money for that went into new constatina boots and bump stops etc as the ones from my stock setup were ****ed basically, but im happy as with ahndling, ride quality and looks, i do get scraping when going in driveways on full lock in reverse but if i go real slow it doesnt do it i guess thats expected being so low, car dropped an inch from stock height all around would definitely recommend this setup to everyone so easy to change the stiffness of the front shocks too but i think ill leave them on the hardest setting as its not too hard and definitely holds well around those hard corners 2 thumbs up
  2. hey ash when do you catch the train and form which station ? i can kjeep u company when im going to uni, but i usually go in around 9 or 10 depending
  3. well i know mine's definitely coz there's a missing bolt on my exhaust manifold, i can hear my lifters on a separate side of the engine bay at idle
  4. after heaps of research i went for the powerfc and could not be happier, im actually half way through modding my hand controller to be all blue lights and match the other million blue lights in my car :D:D
  5. im probably dropping 30mm-40mm (which is about an inch) we measured it there and it will look nice there and will get rid of the risk of my tyres rubbing the mud guards on full lock (i got 235s on the fornt and 255s on the back) Interloper, i'd also suggest seeing chris at centreline in thomastown, they are awesome, sit you down, plan everything you want to do, work out best options/prices, great service and they definitely know what they are doing
  6. i had it checkd and it seems one of the 'rear' bolts for the exhaust manifold is missing, sposedly this is a common problem in 33 gtsts and 95% of the time people dont bother replacing them as its a huge job, i can definitely hear the clicking of the air leaking but as far as power/econoy nothing seems to be affected, two different tuning shops told e not to worry about it unless it starts to get worse, any suggestions ? anyone know how much it usually costs to get the bolt fixed ?
  7. i may be smoking pot but i thought 6 months was 180 days ?
  8. i spoke to a local shop and they didnt wanna know me like would an exhaust shop be cheaper than say ice performance and the likes ? as i'd prefer ice to do it coz i trust them etc but i mean its only piping, as long as its made without holes/weak spots etc it should be kool yer ?
  9. just put a deposit down for koni shocks, king springs and whiteline front camber kit will get the rest when i got more dosh
  10. everythnig is stock on the car now, i dont have the money for the full kit at this time, so im gonig to do the shocks, springs and camber kits i think, maybe just the front camber kit for now, and do the rest later when i have more money, already paying the loan for the car dont need more debt
  11. where can i get stainless steel made up to fit ?
  12. oh, he quot3ed $2655 so if i just go shocks n springs, what if my bushes etc are worn ? what do i do ? coz i think one of my sides of suspension are stuffed coz it makes funny noises, what should i routinly replace to get pretty much a 'full' shock and spring replacement with brand new stuff
  13. oh and also, im a bit strapped on cash at the moment so if there is anything in that kit that you think i dont 'need' then please let me know, like im after good street handling and sometimes i will go to the drags but that isnt essential, and also want it lowered and looking good cheers guys

  18. it was frosty, u couldnt see the frost etc but we felt it after with our feet and it was like ice, i think 'black ice' is the term for it, we were driving for ages across the city etc and didnt have any problems, must have been a bad surface but i didnt lose it around the corner but then again i was taking it easy
  19. thanks guys, yer my whole world has changed, perhaps ill stick to rice from now on hehe.. but seriously, i think ill stick to stock boost on the roads and start going to calder a lot more to vent my 'hoonish blood' to keep myself in equilibrium might pop over to my mates house today to see the car in the light/see how he is

  23. well just got home after the scariest/longest night of my life... just came back from a mini-meet some of us SAU boys had, those of you who were there met my mate who had the EA falcon with heaps of mods etc... well... i dropped my g/f off home (my mate was following me in his car i was in my car) and a couple streets after we left her house on our way back to my house my mate who was in front of me took the corner a bit hard, got into a fishy, looked impressive at first, i thought to myself 'wow, nice stuff' but after 2 seconds i noticed his 'kicks' were getting bigger and more eratic and after about 6 or 7 'kicks' from left to right the car headed off the road onto the gutter, clipped atree on driver side and then spun around and the passenger side smacked into someone's garden into a couple big trees, my friggen heart stopped... i pulled quickly into the houses driveway ripped my hand brake and jumped out and started running to his car, was thinking the whole time i was running 'i hope he's alright, please let there be no blood'.. luckily for him he was 100% fine and stepped out of the car, not even a scratch, but the car was totaled... the windscreen cracked, passenger side door crumpled to the ****, chassis on passenger side engine bay totally snapped, radiator pissing everywhere, passenger side fornt rim totally ****ed, whole front end gone, all the doors on the car wont open except passenger side because its totally broken off pretty much, so that suggets the whole chassis has moved... man what a scary event this has changed my perspective on the roads we drive on, the cars we drive in, and the people we drive/who drive us please people take it easy on the roads, i know im changing my patterns after seeing this, if u want to dorifto, go to a track, somewhere where mistakes can be forgiven with space, not with someone's front yard and possibly injruing or killing someone im so glad he is ok, so so glad, it has been a costly lesson for my mate, but im sure a good one in the sense he got to walk away, but as the police said, they have seen plenty of accidents where the cars havent been as badly damaged but every person in the car has died please people, take it easy unless your under controlled conditions thanks for listening DJ
