1st and 2rd gar it just spins, pulls very hardin 3rd and handles awsome
if you get slightly sideways you spinout heh
its a bit of a gamble to get a good one, the sincros on mine are great..
ill do it when i change the clutch so it will be soon.
i can get my uncle to do it (hes a mechanic), but ask my other reputable backyard mechanic first

the gearbox has developed a whine in forward gears, perticually 1st and seccond under load
pritty sure its the gearbox barings or thrust baring as its noisy and i can feel it through the pedal
where can i get a gearbox baring and seal kit for this box ??
are there stronger barings for this around? where do i get them from?
sound like front or rear baring, or layshaft float (which i doubt)
couda just got a baring and seal kit and done it
its good that they did the thrust baring as it was f**ked

relax about a manual tranny oil cooler only race cars have em if you going to be snap shifting on a track for 5 hours
you need a pump, radiator and some place for it to circulate too and from
if you worried just drop the trans oil every 40,000ks and use good stuff

if you have a new cluch and they didnt change it... to bad its gotta come off again
may aswell get a baring and seal kit for the box.. i got a r32 gtst box and baring are f**king up cause of the torque
your clutch is wearing low, your friction point is probably at the top of the pedal... just replace it, all clutches come with the thrust barings,
also do the rear main seal and the spigot bush when its off
looking to swap my turbosmark vee-port with no flange for a non atmo bov like the gtr ones or something else as long as its a recirc/plumback one

testing my new tyres around a corner yesterday and happen to run into the rev limiter
ive got an r31 rb30e converted to turbo and when it bounced off the limiter it pinged a bit most probably because of the feul cut
how do i safen it up?
i dont want to stop the limiter but i assume it works by cutting the feul and thats all
any ideas
