  1. Found this guy on FB of all places by fluke>>> http://www.mtcautobodyrepairs.com.au/ Seems to do a good job and prices are reasonable as far as I have been quoted. Going to get quote on my R33 this Saturday as well. Feel free to drop him a line and if you emai him picks he can usually quote off them too.. Tell him JD sent ya as told him I would spread the word as believe he is a bit sought after... Also he is NOR near Hocking.. J-D
  2. I am posting for a friend about to transform his Datsun 1200 ute and he is looking for some R31 brakes. Already has the 240k units but wants/needs more stopping power for the transplant. If anyone can help out or knows of anyone getting rid of these parts please pm me with the details. Thanks again Jonts
  3. Thanks guys... no still no car yet but that 4dr still for grabs so just waiting to flog off the mrs car then off shoppin. One thing forgot to add it has an r33 box and new clutch in it too but noticed driving past something I missed were the dents down passenger side and bit larger than the odd trolley knock. Will of course get the compression test and will check out electrics as been there and not good when things dont work. Zorst is only cat back on it and guy who owns the thing done work himself so have to have good look over. Suspension does squeak bit but havent had good look for leaks etc.. Thanks again for the advise and will keep you posted on the final purchase...
  4. As this is my first post i hope I have the right format etc.. As you can guess I am looking at R32 Sedans as wanting to buy one very shortly and off to see one tonight as it happens to be. My question is are there any issues that I should look at when looking at these things being like over 10years even though seem to have low km's. The one I am inspecting tonight is Type M, manual sedan with Tein suspension and Zorst other than that pretty stock 116000k's (belt done). So any tips appreciated... Also any ideas on a price should be going for ??? Pls dont pm as dont check too often thanks
  5. Hi all, Hope that someone can help out or even point me in the right direction as a bit stuck at the mo... I currently work as a Purchasing Officer buying cars all day long...(lucky me ) but not for me instead for clients which is awesome but I would like to now have my own car. I have wanted a HPI for around close to 4yrs now and still haven't gotten around to getting one as yet partially because I have a mortgage and have to support a family which is also all good. The Q here is do I stay at my place where I feel I am not getting what I should really be getting having looked around at other positions in WA for the same thing and they getting around 10k more than what I am one...What the??? Yes I have spoken to the company and at present "we are not in the position to blah blah blah.." but they are in a position to renovate the building next door to make it into a cafe/kitchen area that hardly anyone uses at present.. I love the job I do and have been doing it now for 2 years and would love to keep on doing it however I too would like to own a car of my own to cruise, drift whatever in and still keep the house and take care of family etc...or do I go back into my old style work as a Helpdesk/desktop support Officer which was cool but still not cars, right... Plus current job like 15mins tops from home and not train to City but you gotta do what you gotta do. Thanks for listening to me ramble on but would like some feedback from the people that own the cars and have the same interests.. If you got any comments or ideas please let me know either way. J-D
