i dont see how the valve guides could make that noise?... i dont think its the valves themselves because i bent valves and it make a different sound to that..... so i dont think its bent valves. if valve guide were stuffed... then oil would be getting into the cylinders and there would be smoke coming out the exhaust? I hope it could just be the water pump? otherwise what sort of bearings are in the head?

This is screwed... i have just changed the spark plugs... but i took it for a few drives and it never made any noise.. Then a couple days before i moved overseas i started the engine and it was fine no noises at all..... so i dno how a noise like that could suddenly come up? worst of all is i now like in U.A.E and im trying to get rid of the car soon as possible.....

Hey, well my diff started making a bit of a noise when i would first drive down the road, very soon after like with in about 15secs it would be on off with the noise and about 30secs later have no real noise at all, so i decided possibly not enough oil? as it got a good coating it stopped making noise, but the diff also had a bit of a vibration i thought at higher speeds like 120 or maybe it was just because of the solid bushes i put on the sub frame, i did a oil change, plenty of oil in there, but stuck to the magnet is a little ball bearing, like the size of a bb gun pellet, been sctrached up and there was a bit of sludge so i dont know how warn down it has gotten, im guessing it wouldnt have been much as when the outside of a bb goes it becomes very soft, any idea's of what would run this size ball bearings? im guessing it could have something to do with the lsd (its a factory viscous R33 Diff), i really dont think it would be a bearing going for the drive shaft as its to small for that i feel, im going to pull the diff out today so hopefully i should have some more pics soon of what bearings it is, if any1 knows what bearing this could be and part numbers etc to buy some more that would be good, Cheers JV

hey, so some of you may have read my other post, so i will keep it short, i have a mongoose mx40 alarm, the battery went dead in the remote so i changed it, now apparently your ment to reset the thing with that lil key, i dont have this key, cant find it anywhere, and my car makes up its on mind weather it will decide to start or not now, so how can i fix this problem without the key? can i just rip out the system somehow? i dont have much money at all, pretty much just waiting on this krudd money as im study'n for a year, so any help would be good,

hmmmm, well its not coil packs, because once they start going they arnt going to catch up at higher revs, changed spark plugs, what boost are you running? i know you said stock, but where are you reading this from? if your boost is spiking up a bit, then there is every chance it could be R&R, because it smells fuely aswell, that also makes me believe this, your getting enough fuel, so its not that, your spark will be fine, igniter, well normally when a igniter goes it drops cylinders so it wont be that, wont be your ecu either, might be worth testing the o2 sensor, but im sticking with R&R specially with you saying it hesitates, way to fix, get a FCD or a aftermarket ecu

hmmm, yeah check over everything, tyres, brakes, lights, also, you have to take it for a drive, i never buy a car without driving it, if you dont drive it you wont hear or feel alot of things, obviously turn the radio off, but when driving let go of the steering wheel, does the car still drive staight or does it turn? listen out for any noises, may be clonks (which is normally suspension) or other things, you will know if it doesnt sound right, if the guy said the brakes arnt noisey when hot, then take it for a big drive, warm them up, make sure he isnt full of shit, and defently check under the car, make sure the rails and stuff mounts what ever it might be doesnt have big dents etc.... or you could always get racq to do a inspection if your unsure, Hope this helps
