hey, Im after a RB20det with loom, gearbox, ecu, clutch, turbo the whole lot, maybe from some1 doing a 25 conversion or something, will need the compression off the engine and i would want to see it running in the car still and can put deposit down on the engine until it is pulled out, then pay the rest, would have to be in either gold coast or brisbane area so we can come and have a look at the car run etc.... if any1 has any give me a pm, thanks JV

hey, ok so i know about changing all the yokes and stuff like that for the gearbox to fit etc.... but ive heard a few things about the speedo, what has to be done to the speedo cable to make my speedo work? do i need some sort of new plugs or what, its just the wiring i want to know about thanks JV

hey man i will get back to you soon on that 1, i have found a r33 gearbox with new seals and stuff for $1700 but that comes with warrenty, so i dno what im going to do cause i dont want to spend a shitload on a box and have it break, but i will consider it, cheers,, JV

my gearbox was feeling a bit wierd it use to crunch from 1st to 2nd at high revs, then that stopped and it started happening between 2nd to 3rd at high revs, now today i was just driving normally changed from 2nd to 3rd and bang, so defently pull your box out and get it rebuilt, its a bitch when it gores driving normally, JV

ok, so the you do need to cut a few wires to make it work, the front sensor fromt he bell houseing should b 2 wires coming off it, check at thew back of the car what colour the 2 reverse lights colours are, and find the next to the fuse box in the engine bay, cut them (what ever colour they might be) and the join those 2 wires to the wires on the front bell housing (make sense) if u have them round the wrong way its no big deal, it just means your car reverse lights will be on in nuetral, as for been able to start your car, you need to make your car think its in park, so same place next to the fuse box, there should be 2 wires (these wires are normally fatter than the other wires, i think one is black with a white stripe and the other is black with a yellow stripe, but they are fatter so tis hard to miss, cut those 2 wires and join them together and your car wills tart with the key, hope that helps, i only connected the reverse lights in a laurel so colour might be different Cheers JV

yeah it does sound like its missing, but we only just pulled the coils off another car and they were all working fine, so yeah not to sure, maybe i should try the igniter? we have a few spare igniters, how do u check that each coil is firing?

yeah we have gone over lots of stuff, but i dont know why when we hold the revs at 2g its fine and then at idle its very lumpy it doesnt make sense specially if it was a loose cooler pipe, it doesnt smoke much at all out the dump pipe, but i have smelt a lil bit of fuel so its obviously not burning all the fuel, but yeah im a bit stuck to what it could be, i might try and swap o2 sensor but im not sure how mucht hat will help i dont think it would b that, maybe igniter i should try and change? JV

hey, so me and a few mates have just done a rb20det conversion into my mates laurel, we have wired it all up and everything, we saw the engine running and stuff before we pulled it out of the car, so we started the car on the weekend, and found out that 2 of the bov's are leaking, so we changed it to a bov which wasnt leaking, when we hold the revs at 2000rpm the car sounds pretty fine, soon as we let the revs drop its really lump and stuff, we also cant hold it the accelerator down as it wont want to rev it will be very stuttered, we only have the dump pipe on the car atm, (dont know what sensor it is further downt he exhaust but that isnt plugged in,) we have changed the spark plugs, we are running split fire coil packs, so im just wondering what it could be? maybe fuel pressure or something? anyways any help would be good thanks, theres a video below of it and you can see dave try and rev it, then when my bro turns the camera to the baby listen to how lumpy the car is, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rET89j8d9Nc thanks JV
