350Gt Coupe Nismo Rear Spoiler
ShadowKnyght replied to ShadowKnyght's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
As mentioned I have been made an offer and the guys is keen to make a deposit for the car at only $20,000 - if anyone else likes the look of the car then please contact me ASAP - I would prefer closer to the asking price. If no offers this car will be sold in the next week. Thanks for looking. -
http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=11916302 Vehicle 2003 NISSAN SKYLINE V35 350GT Price $22,990 Kilometres 44,157 Colour Silver Interior Colour Black Transmission 6 speed Manual Body 2 door 4 seat COUPE Drive Type Rear Engine 6 cylinder Petrol Aspirated 3.5 L (3498cc) Reg Plate S455AAS Reg Expiry JUN-2012 Road Worthy Certificate No Vehicle ID SSE-AD-489585 Ref Code SSE-AD-489585 Brief Comments Rare factory fitted Nismo Spoiler, Brembo brakes, front lip and MOMO Steering wheel with 18" mags. Comments First and only owner in Australia. This has been my family car - plenty of room in the back for children under the age of 12 one of the benefits this car has over a 350Z. Smooth comfortable drive. 210Kw Engine with the safety of rear wheel drive. 18" inch factory wheels, with increased safety of Factory fitted Brembo brakes. I imported and have owned this car since it had 22,000km on the clock and have changed the oil every 5,000km using fully synthetic oil. Front Brake pads recently replaced removing the need to have to do so again for a long time (top of the range pads used). The car has a Kenwood CD/MP3 HDD and 7" touch screen SAT NAV professionally fitted by previous owner in Japan. A very rare and in my opinion the best rear spoiler this car can be bought with. Front lip and MOMO steering wheel - all factory fitted. Generous boot space for a coupe. Tyres are in very good condition as car has been only used for going to and from work and collecting children from school. Non-smoker. Owned numerous Skylines and the V35 is one of the best, especially with the rear spoiler fitted to this one. Selling only as I have purchased a 7 seater family car due to expanding family. A good quality example - well priced compared to other examples in South Australia with manual option and low Kms. I HAVE JUST BEEN MADE AN OFFER it is below what I want for the car but if no others are tabled I will accept in the next week, so please express your interest if you have been considering this car. (I had owned a blue V35 Auto and that sold in 2 weeks.)

V35 Skyline Premium Vs Non Premium
ShadowKnyght replied to MFC05's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I would not buy it! Appears like the basic bottom of the range Auto version of the car with a Nismo wheel only and then some other aftermarket stuff. That car has been for sale for more than 12 months. Note it is missing the cold air intake plastic from the front of the engine bay... not sure why you would deliberately remove this so I would assume accident damage? Not sure on the yellow wires either... Also they used to have good pictures but now the pictures offered are of totally random cars - not the same one - never trust someone who does this! (different wheels, one with a spoiler one without...) Then there is now the picture of 3 cars?? I half think the guy has maybe sold the original car but has imported another or even 2 more and is trying to use his original add to sell the next couple - hence why the photos have changed. One car (with the factory 18's) appears to be of a manual! The aftermarket wheels are fitted to the "Nismo" one - the Auto... My 6 speed manual has more of a "sports edition" to it than that car - Nismo rear spoiler - the big one not a lip one nor the flat one, the nismo wheel and the front lip. -

I think the only ones immune at the moment are those with free cash in the bank and not in investments and are at least 5 to 10 years away from retirement (long enough for their super to bounce back). The currency drop will effect them bugger all aside from less interest on their savings. In fact they could profit from this down turn by buying shares in the big banks at record lows and selling them in 6 months for 3 times the money - or buying your house from you when you are forced to sell as the property market goes to hell. I wish I had sold my house 3 to 6 months ago and rented for 12 months - could then finally upgrade to a "family" sized home for my kids - you know a place that actually has a back yard (>700sqm) and maybe 4 bedrooms, maybe 2 bathrooms and god forbid a lock up double garage so that Shannons will insure my damn cars again! All this for well under a million dollars in a semi decent area!? very possible in about 6 to 18 months me thinks! Might be able to get this dream realised for the sweet spot price of 450 to 550, whilst at the moment in a decent area in SA you would still be looking at 750 to 1.5M for such a place! Ain't got that kind of money... nor am I willing to take that sort of loan! On the plus side - I only lost $300 on my Silver V35 due to a drop in yen between buying and it boarding the boat - managed to miss this disaster almost completely! But if the current world wide condition stops people from buying cars for a while I will be drawn and quartered by the wife - I need to quite one of my 2 V35's real soon else I get castrated... Should be picking up my manual V35 this week - then I can decide which I would rather keep - meaningless though as I will have to sell which ever is easier to shift which may just be the one I like better! And just to add to the woes - windy night tonight - blew 2 f'n trollies into the side of my wife's Vectra at Marion shopping centre dented it in at least 2 places... and she had made such an effort to park 40m away from the nearest trolly... just gave the bloody thing a better run up! -

As I said buy local - no way you could import at these prices anymore! BTW - I take it you meant 50G or something similar not 5G's? else if that is not a typo it is a huge mark up! -

Holy crap! http://finance.yahoo.com/currency/convert?...;amt=1&t=5d http://finance.yahoo.com/currency/convert?...;amt=1&t=5d AU$1= 58.4 Yen (dropped to 54 a day or so back then banks take 1.5 yen so ouch) AU$1= 0.62 USD (Important for calculating shipping, I am told it got below 60 the other day as well) If you were to try and buy my car at the current exchange rates in Japan it would now cost you between $37,000 and $39,000 landed, complied and registered! (based on my buy price in YEN) Seeing this I might get greedy and up the price on mine... (Just joking). I would hate to be looking at importing right now even with a drop in expected prices at auction. Buy Local - you will save big! -

Hey for those of you who liked the idea of getting the white Pearl coupe with sunroof and leather!!: Try this 2004 model on for size - also comes with a full kit and because it has 40,000 on the clock should be relatively cheap (as cheap as you can get with the current exchange that is) https://bzl.cis6200.jp/e/p5_search_detail.a...amp;p=5&f=p -

Just extracted the last 69 cars to be sold at Auction into a spread sheet ordered by Manual then Auto then year and finally by No. of Km. You can order it any way you want though using the sort tool in Excel. Good way to see how rare certain cars are - like red ones... manuals compared to Autos etc. Silver seems to be without a doubt the most common colour! Typically you can have coil overs as long as the height is ok. Rims are also ok as long as the size is the same and they get fitted with Oz rated tyres, but some Motor reg places are stricter than others. I think you can normally get away with +/- 1 or 2 inches on the rims. Exhausts tend to need to be stock though, and engine mods and blow off valves etc are a big no no. Body kits are fine as long as they do not breach Oz standards (ride height and width). Stickers are fine! BTW - for those wanting to check the typical Auction sale prices for Japanese cars - use this link. (It was on my page listed earlier but to save people having to hunt it down)... http://auctions.amayama.com/search/?fid=6+...l=350gt&s=1 -

V35 Skyline, What Do You Know?
ShadowKnyght replied to kralster's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
ok wow - I think I might keep the Silver manual one when it comes in then - That picture looks awesome! Might need to get the clear indicators though (like yours and my blue Premium has). So the kit is classed as NISMO? I thought just the rear spoiler... the front lip I thought was simply a factory option... I don't have your side skirts though! -
Horrible driveway that! I personally don't want to go back to a car or kit that makes the car that low - ever, ever again! Looks nice but I just got sick of the stress of not knowing if I am going to make it up a curb / Driveway / speed bump / or slope! Kind of why I sold my Stagea and one of the pet hates I had with my FTO... BTW - that is one awesome looking 4 door... it makes me think that if I sell my coupes, and when the exchange rate is back to something decent I might just get myself a 4D (I have 2 kids).

hahaha I thought we had provided enough info on the brokers! Yeah even when writting it I realised not really back on topic but I had to head out to lunch for work so just hit send... By back on topic I meant more so - away from my fixation on black... and back to what is more commonly available... As to brokers - it all comes down to what you want from them - if all you want is to pay your money and get a car that roughly meets your requirements - anyone will do and price is your only concern then. If you want some one good - then having a few years in the business is something to look for. Decent contacts in Japan - or even (as I mentioned with J-spec) having someone on the ground over there is very strong reasoning to select. Most of them charge the same - but some give a greater service for the money. I have used both Prestige and J-spec - have even thought of Importing myself without using a brocker - but decided that is far to risky. The $700 to $1100 brockers charge is usually money well spent! -

White when dirty does not show it up to much but it looses the pearl - to see the pearl you need to keep the car 100% clean all the time! I have owned a black FTO and a black 300ZX TT and yes I know that they are a B!tch to keep clean - but when clean there is nothing as sexy as a black car... the number of times I find myself looking twice at even normal cars that are black (and clean) has made my mind up that I want to go back to black - was even going to paint my Stagea black until I found out the cost to spray a car properly.... I had the pearl white stagea with full Hyperpolphin kit and yet I still found my head spinning to check out bog standard stageas when black... Back on topic - the RED is very, very rare - I have seen bugger all of them at the auctions and never in person but then I don't care much for red either as RED is a crap paint colour for Australian Sun - my GTS-T R33 was red - every single shade of red you can imagine... I have yet to see a Red car over 10 years old that has not suffered from surveare fade - unless it is a Ferrari! RED = NO GOOD in Oz! BTW - I only Like Silver when you have illegal tinted windows - dark windows on a Silver car looks awesome! -

White is actually as common as Silver if not more so. I have seen one in white at a local japanesemotorsport drift racing place (across the road from me in Stepney Magill road) - I walked straight past it thinking meh.... Stopped and came back and went... - oh... that is a 350GT coupe... oh... rather boring / disappointing looking. I find the car to be very plain in white unless you spend thousands on some good mags! My Stagea was in the same Pearl white and I was not overly impressed with the colour. That is why Blue or black are the only real winners for me. That said from what I understand in Japan - the pearl white is actually a favoured colour so whilst they sell for shit all on the Oz market they go for a bit in the Jap market. And as they are favoured they tend to have things like Sunroofs more often as they tend to get optioned up. But again if you want a white coupe I suggest looking at the Oz market on carsales - the white ones and silver ones tend to sell for f'all in Qld and NSW. Far cheaper than you could import one at the moment with the current exchange rates.
