Sounds fair, Mercury is fairly reputable. What kind of work has been done to it? Is there receipts for all this work. Imean there are certainly cheaper ones around but as the saying goes you get what you pay for!

I'd be really inclined to smack him in the mouth...then you might need a lawyer...who did he lose the money to? Mechanic or the guy? Cause if he put it down as deposit then he is entitled to it back. Search google...legal precedents + verbal contract

well if your battery or anything else is stuffed get it back to dealer and get it replaced..no way it should be doing it after one day...have you tried starting it again?

well i know predator performance made carbon front end for r33...i know places in melbourne make boots, bonnets and guards for 32...however these parts arent cheap and for doors you'll be looking at 3g's per door!! i hope you have deep pockets!

yeah could be running rich any soot on bumper? has it got an aftermarket ecu or piggy back...no there is no problem jump starting them i jump start mine everytime i use it...

sounds like a flat battery or your alternator isnt charging properly? has it had a service at all?

As to my understanding you still have to pay the fine buts points dont count? this is what happened to me anyway...i got a fine in nsw and the demerit points didnt count here in qld lucky too as it was double demerits!

Ok lets angle this question from another angle...as we all know to repair a cracked front bar is relatively cheap. eg John smith driving down the road in his r34 vspec II and hits a pot hole damaging one of 4000 dollar rims! What do you think would be the outcome under these circumstances?
