I'm wondering what 'skin' or background style (colour scheme) people are using, I've just been using the default one (lighter colours) but I noticed some people have yellow writing in their sig that you cant really see with this display. Today I decided to try the other option (blue) but noticed a) smileys dont display correctly because they have a white outline and B) some people have blue/purple writing in their sig that you now cant read with the blue background? Pretty pointless thread but I was just curious what people are using, I'm guessing people must use both?

Is it because with some mods, the car becomes more efficient, so even though it makes more power it doesnt really use much more petrol because it is able to produce the power more efficiently? Is that the reason?

Went for a cruise up the coast to BWCP (as you can see I'm from nsw) with some mates tonight. Needless to say I spotted a shitload of skylines. On the way up a black R32 with "LOR32" numberplates came screaming up past us and then decided it would be a good idea to overtake a car on the inside using a non-existant (crossed-out) lane.. lol Saw some orange R32, for some reason it sounded really awful?? A silver R33 with a blue stripe decal. Blue R34 GTR with gold wheels i think. Cant remember any others, unfortunately most looked the same and few had custom plates so I couldn't remember them. Actually surprised I think i only saw 2 other wine red R33s, i expected a lot more lol. Was anyone from here at BWCP tonight?

Went to BWCP tonight for the first time (I.hate.rain). When we were leaving.. well some fu*kwit yelling out "your skylines shit" or something to me, but apart from that.. my mate who was in front of me in his silver R33 GTST, launched it onto the road breaking traction etc etc.. anyway I was a fair bit behind at this stage lol (250rwkw vs 100kwatw? lol) but after about 500m or so I see a cop car with its lights on come from nowhere behind me so I got into the left lane to let it past. There was another car in front of me that was still in the right hand lane, it went to merge into the left hand lane but at the same time the cop decided to move into the left hand lane, almost cleaned it up lol. Then he passed my mates WRX so I knew he was going after the GTST. My mate is still changing lanes getting through traffic and at this stage I'm starting to think he's gonna do a runner! lol Anyway we all turn left after the bridge and my mate pulls into some carpark near the water. Both the cops get out of the car and approach my mates GTST. Cops are taking aaaaaages and have the spotlight out and then get them out of the car and we see the cops talking to my mate and his passenger and writing shit in some book, we all thought they were writing them a ticket, driver for obvious reasons and passenger for drinking. Anyway cops are there for at least 15mins and eventually they drive off and my mate comes over and starts saying he got a $1400 fine lol but he was just BS, apparently the cops were mad c*nts and let them both off, just took their details down. Cop also said he could've defected him for the BOV, exhaust and a few other things but that he couldn't be bothered lol.. Asked my mate where he was from and the cops like "i used to work there, its a f**king hole ay" and shit like that lol.. mate said the cop was swearing heaps and said "usually i cant f**kin swear cause the rich c**ts around here complain" or something like that.. haha I think my mate said one of the cops has a 400hp or kw falcon or something? I dunno I cant remember. Anyone been pulled over by these officers? Are they an exception to the norm?

sounds like ur shock sensor is too sensitive, my mates TT soarer would set off the alarm when it was idling with the turbo timer on. just adjust it so its not so sensitive. if your cars idle sets it off then it probably means other cars with loud exhausts driving past will set it off too.

Yes DANSR33 they made R32 GTST in 1993, then in the later months they started making R33.

Im changing the power steering pump in my car, my only problem is I can't undo the gold bolt that screws into the pump (holding the valve section?). I need to take it off so I can remove the valve(?) and the section of hosing attached to it from the old pump and reconnect it to my new pump. thanks,

Just saw this R33 whilst looking on J-spec http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/index.php?ID=4854 It's a 1997 model and has 269,000kms At least J-spec are honest :lol: How common is this kind've high mileage on skylines in japan? How many km's do RB engines last for? I know thats a bit of a 'whats the length of a piece of string' question but I'm just wondering if anyone had any opinions. I think a lot of people would be scared to buy a skyline that had done +200,000kms but I guess there would be a lot out there that have done that many. thanks. I'm not interested in buying this car btw, just curious.

I think by J rims he means Japanese. ie get some second hand japanese brand wheels. There are some traders on this site which sell japanese wheel packages, do a search if you're interested.

I thought I read S15 injectors (side-feed) were a straight fit on R33 GTST? They aren't 550cc but they are higher than r33 std 370cc, maybe 470? Also GTI-R SR20 injectors are top-feed and some side-feed SR20 injectors are only 370cc so same as R33, so if you go sr20 make sure you get the right ones.

Well how much power are you chasing? If Jetdat is right then you can get 250rwkw with std injectors.

No, RB25 (non-NEO) injectors are side-feed where as all Rb26 are top-feed.

According to HPI stock r33 injectors are only 370cc/min and as such run out of flow at around 200rwkw.
