Been meaning to post this up for a few weeks now. Checked my interior fuse box (the one under the dash) just to compare it to what it says in the manual (a JPNZ ENTERPRISES reconstruction of the original japanese version) and noticed a few irregularities. The diagram (black background with all the John Madden playmaking arrows ) shows where my fuses are located. Yellow background attachment is a photo I took of a page in the manual (pages are actually white but auto-balance made it go all Indiana Jones-like). So yeh, basically I think I'm missing one of the 20A Blower Motor fuses, I seem to have 2 fuses for nothing and a 20A fuse for the airbag (which my car doesn't have) which should be a 10A fuse anyway?? What's going on? Is my manual wrong? Also, how do I go about buying replacement fuses? I had a look last time I was at supercheap but noticed there were different types (some additional rating -not Amperage- which differed) of the same Amperage fuses and didn't know what ones to buy. thanks!

I haven't noticed this on my 33 yet?? Do they all have this button? I'll have a look tomorrow..

Who Makes Shocks For R33 Gts-4?
cogs replied to cogs's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Here's a pic of my rear suspension lower mount. So it's the 'eye' type? My options so far.. (USED) Nismo adj valving rear shocks - $330 pair Genuine factory Nissan rear shocks - $ 407 pair Bilstein group buy rear shocks - $588 pair Nismo suspension is from Option 1 garage "Nismo R33 GTR Rear Shocks - Lowered and Adj Valving - Good Cond" Can R33 GTS-4 use R33 GTR suspension? Picture of NISMO suspension Is it okay to have different suspension front and rear? I've been quoted around $150 for labour to install rear shocks. Is that reasonable? Are there any other companies that make shocks for my car that are cheaper than $400 pair?? -
My mate's got a switch in his R32 GTS-4 to change between RWD/AWD. Works fine in RWD but warning lights on the dash come on, I guess the car thinks somethings wrong cause it's being bipassed or whatever. I thought it's CONSTANT 4wd? That's what my book says and I was told it's 90% RWD until loss of traction is detected? What are the differences between R32 and R33 GTS-4 AWD systems?

Hey guys, I got my suspension checked out and I was told the rear shocks definitely need replacing. The guy wasn't sure about the fronts, he said they'd either seized up or were very heavy duty. You push the back down and the car moves down and then bounces a few times after coming back up. The front hardly moves at all when you push it down. It's the stock shocks all around with lowered King Springs. I got my shocks checked at Beaurepaires, they found a part for a 2WD turbo model (GTS-T) but none for my car, an R33 GTS-4. They said no-one in australia (well, as far as the companys they get parts from go) make them for my car. I've been to genuine Nissan spare parts place in my town and they have the FAST software and can get in the rears (rears are in stock here already and only take a day or so to order but fronts will take around 2 weeks if they're on the shelf in japan for some reason). Nissan want $185 +GST each. What companies make shocks for my car? I just had a look on KYB site as I was looking through some threads and saw someone had bought some KYB shocks for their R33 but I did a parts search on KYB site and only R33 they have is "NISSAN SKYLINE R33 2WD Turbo Coupe Incl. 4ws"?? How different would R33 GTS-T shocks be compared to R33 GTS-4? I know there's a group buy for Bilstein shocks atm but they're a little pricy for me. I just want to replace my worn rear shocks, I'm not looking for anything better than stock really. Is there any reason why my rear shocks would be so worse than my front ones? In another thread Sydneykid wrote "lowered springs need to have higher spring rates as they have less travel to hold up the weight of the car and soak up the bumps. So they are almost always outside the ability of the standard shocks to control them." Is it wise to use stock shocks with lowered springs (my car doesn't look heaps low)? My dustcovers have had it, do new shocks come with these or will I have to order these as well? Cheers.

I'm 19 and I'm on my green P's. I recently bought an R33 GTS-4 (non-turbo 4wd). It's not insanely fast or anything but it does go alright. Other people who have driven it have enjoyed driving it. I really love my car and although after a ride in my mates R32 GTS-4 (turbo) I wouldn't mind a turbo skyline, I still wouldn't change my decision to buy a N/A skyline first. It's still a beautiful car, they can still sound great (or so I'm told, my exhaust is stock) and it still gets looks. Where are you located, how much are you looking to spend? I'll keep an eye out for you.

See title? "Black R32 Gts4 Manual - Price2sell, Immaculate Condition - $13,800 Brisbane" Looks tidy as, GL with the sale.

Talk to insurance company and explain the situation, are dents and scratches counted as unrepaired damage because most cars with insurance have damage like that? Did you explain what the damage was like to them? Just talk to insurance again and see if there are any options available. Good luck.

How Much Shud I Pay For This....?
cogs replied to goeyz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I bought my manual 1993 model R33 GTS-4 (Non-turbo, 4WD) for $12,000 about 6 weeks ago. It had 87,000kms on the clock which I believe to be genuine. Interior was in the best condition I'd seen and exterior had almost zero scratches and just a bit of dust from storage. Engine was a bit dirty as it hadn't been cleaned for a while, but no leaks or signs of major wear. Mind you it only had 1 month rego on it and had to change it over to nsw, all up cost $900 and I need new suspension for it now (although it passed a saftey check before I bought it and blue slip inspection). Try to find one in good condition, even if it's more expensive because the cheaper ones can work out more expensive in the long run if you have to keep fixing problems.. I think I got a pretty good deal though, it'd been for sale for 3 months and the owner was originally asking $15,000 (which I've seen most GTS-4s asking). Sorry if I missed it but is the car 2 or 4 door? Personally for an n/a auto with those km's I'd say around $10k? Does it have any service history? Just make sure you get it checked out before you buy and decide from that how much you are willing to pay for it. Where are you buying the car from? Hope that helps. Good luck. -
What's Wrong With This Picture?
cogs replied to cogs's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks for that Bob! Cheers! -
All those rubber ring things (yeh i dont have a clue what I'm talking about lol), are they supposed to be seperate (like a stack of donuts) or one piece (like a sleeve)? Whats with the ones that are circled in the pic, how they like go under each other and interlock etc? Can anyone tell me anything from the pic? Is my suspension fully stuffed?

Hey guys, I think my car needs new shocks.. -Steering wheel vibrates at higher speeds sometimes -Steering wheel vibrates on some bumps -Car will 'shudder' going through bumpy corners -Car excessively bounces over sections of road not affected by other cars -Car fails 'bounce test', you push the car down and it will not come to rest straight away So yeh, my question is.. where can I get some new shocks for my car (R33 GTS-4)? I don't need awesome suspension, I just need to get some decent replacement shocks or whatever because my car rides like sh1t and the chassis seems to cop a bit of a pounding because of it. The problem is I live in Northern NSW and there doesn't seem to be any places around here that would sell Koni, Bilstein etc shocks. So I realise I will probably have to travel to QLD (I don't want to have to travel too far though!) to find a place that sells shocks for imported skylines. My car just has stock (AFAIK) shockies atm with King Springs. So where are some places? Websites if available please. Thanks! P.S. Import Bitz have some "Altia performance Shocks/springs" to suit an R33 GTS4 (http://www.importbitz.com/suspension.htm). I've never heard of this brand, are they any good? They're only $300.

lol nice ad! (game isn't very good though..)

I think Eug is saying B.S. because there's no such thing as a 2002 model GTSt.. (correct me if I'm wrong)

I've recently bought an R33 GTS-4 with stock sound system. Just has original cassette deck/radio (has been fitted with an FM expander) which looks very plain, has 6" front speakers which are rooted and I think 6 1/2" rear Clarion speakers which are pretty shit.. I'm looking to get Kenwood MP3 HU ($590-save $300), Polk Audio 6" speakers for front ($179) and 6 1/2" Earthquake speakers for rear ($125). Getting free installation on all (so long as I don't leave it too long), so just under $900 all up, or I might decide to get a cheaper HU. It's just a straight-fit replacement I'm doing for now which will give me some decent sound for the moment. If it has stock speakers and you're not happy and have some cash then spend a couple of grand and you'll have a nice system. Where about are you from mate?

Hey guys. I found out that button in the centre console switches an FM expander on/off. I need to get another key cut so I have a spare (I only have one key atm), where can I get another genuine skyline key from? I noticed today there are cables running under the carpet that come up (exposed) underneath the passenger and drivers side front seats (through a slit in the floor carpet), can anyone tell me what these might be for? (from memory they have a four-hole connector) Is push-starting a GTS4 (4WD) a no-no? Is it safe to use the space saver spare tyre (should the need arise) with my 225/50R16s?? Thanks again.
