  1. thanks guys! really looking forward to it, i bet i'll have some nervs by the time the rally start day comes!
  2. still got the rear centre speakers in too! car has to remain original weight for the rallies we are doing, mind you the cupholder weighs about 500 grams but covers the the sensors and protects them
  3. hi guys well the car is getting closer to ready for rally tas in two weeks! Ben and i had a quick run in it Friday and all is good, new paddle shifters that turn with the wheel work well! seat needs moving , still needs door trims and a few other things but 90 percent done! phew ! graphics go on the car tuesday, looks a bit like the bat mobile at the moment
  4. hehe... just emptied my swear jar into my kids piggy bank! he will be a rich little bugger in a few months!!!
  5. nah mark! no arguments here mate... always like to throw up ideas, i am no expert so watch on with interest you boys look like your making great headway!! keep it up , great job i have to keep berry away from this thread or he will go off about me making him work on the r35 instead of his car! lol
  6. i heard thats the name for the car Tim!
  7. also in rallying they are allowed to use water sprayers on the intercooler, where's as your not allowed on track. but most of it comes from water/methanol injection into the intake track under high pressure, done correctly in can actually freeze at the impeller tip!! from the airspeed when the mist travels from the centre of the impeller to the outside.
  8. yeah it was crazy , i still remember it clearly! over 4 bar boost when at full load
  9. so umm... sounds like you guys dont watch much wrc & arc stuff ! how does 20 degree's and sometimes less sound for air intake temps and thats on 35 degree ambient days also that was a few years ago! i was lucky enough to go for a drive in a world rally hyundai with kenneth errickson a few years ago (when marcus gronholm was king in the 206) and you should have seen the lauch control , over 40 psi on launch without clutch load! they are getting crazy results with air temps!
  10. will be good catching up with ya nowy at some events!! great to see mate
  11. hehe... yeah i thought they might attrack some attention, i have a set in the shed on wanted to put them on for some driving with marling but i thought they might be illegal,! thanks for confirming that they are good on track!
  12. Yep the 32 is really gone, gone to a really nice fella upnorth in Cairns, he will hopefully be doing the superlap series next year so the car will be around, mind you it will take him a while to get his head around it as he wont be driving it as often, i think with limited driving time it will take a while to be fast in it. the r34 should kick off again reall soon and i'll post up some stuff then with the new bits and stuff.
  13. yeah the r32 has gone to a new home! i love that car as you guys know lots of blood & sweat in it the r34 is on the back burner until the r35 is complete in about a fortnight, which mark is not impressed about!
  14. that sounds like it should work in the rear hicas mate, and bloody hell it will make a difference too! the r34 has top a arms alot like the lower one so you can do away with the hicas rod altogether. as far as cost goes , i got a really good deal from hi octane for all the parts from the Tomei r34 drag car so has helped heaps with costs, i think the rear wing will be mounted on plates inside the boot almost out the back of the car and the bootlid will have slots cut into it so it can slide down over the wing mounts, if that makes sense
  15. you been looking at my r34 pics Mark? lol nice haul of gear there guys , i love it!!
  16. thats what i thought harry! they do have DOT on the sidewall though
  17. i have a set sitting at home, i want to put on the car but not sure whether i will get pulled up on them or not?
