  3. and thats the truth! always something when racing. i split a gearbox in two last year at close to two hundred kay hour, then the grass i pulled up on caught fire! the whole lot was throw away nothing useable in the box at all.

  14. hi mate sounds like you had a ball! good to see the times constantly improving wish mine would do that. would love to get back up to townsville soon, i loved the hill climb up there, so trying to get back before the end of the year. you sure the 2860's wont be a bit laggy? good set of n1's are good for mid 300kw's at the wheels with great response or gt ss cheers russ , might see you up there sometime
  15. fatz you should be entering
  16. yep front struts towers, the area under your front guards along the seams there, also there is a little triangular plate there weld that fully too or make a more solid one. may as well while you've got the welder out before painting.
  17. cool thread great to see mate! hehe i bet it feels great to be able to throw the rule book away and do what you want and in some ways sometimes that is cheaper. bigger wheels = bigger brakes firewall mod looks good too!! are you doing some seam welding? cheers russ
  18. it was quite weird at Tsukuba circuit, all the fast guys were out and aiming for their fastest lap in the first or second session, the m speed guys reckon that track loses about a second or so a lap around lmidday on. but like has been said many variables, i think the tyres they were running wouldnt like running later. myself personally, i tend to go best in about the middle of day before i start pushing to hard and getting untidy!
  19. hey mark looks bloody good & strong! i like what you did with the middle bars thru the front firewall going to be heaps of strength there!! and the rear brace will really help too, i love seeing them like this watching them take shape! i like the door mods too!! we have run the gtr on slicks for about 2 dozen laps total and i am amazed at where the car is moving
  20. and how nice is that thing!! unbelievable
