it's where you extend the pick up in the tank with a hose and weight it so when you go around a corner the hose goes to same side the fuel is getting pushed to by the g forces and it stays with the fuel russ

i think the vid is making the gear ratios look quite short, but that is not the case. mark is changing from third to fourth at about the 170 kph point and from fourth to fifth at about 230 kph , it was hitting to 275 odd on the back straight of the national circuit and 245 on the front straight in that video. with rpm currently top speed i think is about 285 kph. cheers russ

hi gents hey paul ! good idea as gave as a bit of a scare !! will look at that (your setup)this week also will be fitting an idler pulley to stop belt flap. as far as letting as japanese driver drive our car, no as this point that wont be happening, maybe in the future but this trip is to see how we stack in performance and driving. a few pics of car at test day yesterday, video incar to come. i just can't believe how well the car ran yesterday and the speeds managed! brakes are again being tested beyond their limit! cheers russ

okay guys, update todays test was an absolute success and was also vital to find out where we are heading! we broke all our previous PB's, by large margins( the day was very hot, track temp was 52 degrees, so there will be even more in it) sprint 53.84 !! national 1:16.6 ( and was held up a fair bit) car was running 244kph on the front straight !! (on radar) we had a power steering belt come off in the afternoon and give us a scare as it took out the dry sump belt, (luckily it warns you straight away as the steering goes heavy and mark shut it down before we had no oil pressure and the car was on decel) also played with suspension and alignment and got good results. this is exciting as the power has not been increased yet over the old engine setup (rpm has though to 8500) i will have some pics and vids up over the weekend( too tired now) cheers russ

hi mate yes the piping comin off the turbos, is off the shelf greddy stuff, good gear too! and no problems with the questions, anytime, collectively there is a whole lot of knowledge on this forum!! update (just got home) car has been run in for a few hundred km's, was an interesting drive on the backroads! back on dyno tomorrow for full tune and see what power and response we can get. cheers russ

YEAH 1:02 is the goal whether we can achieve it is, another question. looking for power around the 450 - 470 awkw, hopefully with power all the way through to 8500 with a 9000 rpm limit. should have rotional idle and anti lag switched on for friday too, not aggressive though. awsome to hear Andrew - we werent to sure about them but that's very encouraging and the new dumps are heaps better than the old set up. we picked up 10 odd kw's at 4wheels from the side pipe and lost about 8-9 kilo's. russ

Yes , we have changed from the n1's, will find out if thats a good thing soon enough. we stayed 2.6ltr because we want to rev it, and feel this is a safer option in that area as piston speeds increase with lengthening the stroke. fine for drag and short work but not as nice on longer distance stuff, i was lucky enought to be able to speak to the tomei crank engineer for a little while about the cranks and set ups while i was in japan, which was very interesting. cheers russ

HI mate The turbos are -5 , i think! GCG helped us out with these and put the black heat coating on them and changed the bearings to steel cages etc. with other question is that the valves under the intake manifold? if so , all that has been removed, idles is low on cold start up but comes good in a few minutes. cheers russ

Hey Richard nah the dumps the were cracked were on there when we bought the car! so atleast three years old and look like chinese copies of hks dumps. they were pretty ordinary dump pipes and i'm glad to get rid of them! russ

thanks again guys! duncan thats not a bad idea, i cant seem to get a hold of O3G softs but will continue to try (if i cant get them before we go , i will get re55 softs over there) i have been told that the nismo festival is the sunday before the race!! so i will be there for that, hopefully get to see the 2008 gtr!! Update Engine was started tonight!! sounds great! car goes to CNJ torrow to have new middle section exhaust made to match new tomei down pipes, then back tomorrow night to finish off, start fitting decals and things. also have to try and get new rear turbo oil feed pipe as it has a crack a the top fitting and is leaking(should have that sussed tomorrow) wednesday thursday dyno time (after run in) cheers russ

thanks snowy - i thought they were suppose to be crap too!! (was wondering why they use them, but that makes sense) i am trying the dunlop O3G's at the moment and think we will stick with them. A holinger is coming!! but it's for that r34, went for a drive in an r33 with a holinger and ignition cut of the gear stick, it was amazing, really linear power. russ

hey guys hope to be at the track friday a bit before luch for the afternoon. snowy - hoping for somewhere in the 1:16 region on the national at QR. (MID 1.17'S last time out, so we shall see) i would have loved to have got back to wakefield as that is the track we wanted to test at, hoping for high 1:02 at wakefield. anyone had any experience with AO48's, as nearly all the cars are on them at Tsukuba, ( i have heard they are worth a second a lap) i need comments?? cheers russ
