here is a bit of incar guys top speed is around 250 on the front striaght and on the limiter (kept raising it but out of torque range) , diff ratios will be changed soon. anyone know what 3.8 ratio's are in?? cheers russ

Hi Guys well back from superlap, and all is good, car is still in one piece and running great! obviously have alot of things to sort through and keep building the car as it wasnt really finished ( but are they ever). we need to get the 4wd drive sorted asap!! thanks for the advice paul will be looking at pressures and codes etc pronto. then off to get swaybars made as nopne were on the car for superlap, and bump steer arms for the front end. then different diff ratios wilkl be changed as we couldnt use the torque to full advantage as we had too shorter ratios top speed was 250 down the front straight on the limiter before the start finish line!! Well once again had ball!! really loved the format! have to say well done the Bel garage boys the Evo looked like a rocket ship on track! also a few other cars not far behind martin & cam, mark well done, also was great too watch John boston get round the track , loved it! i tried to stick with him in the r35 but the bloody thing was handling like a boat!! i had no chance but got a few lines off him before he got away ! thanks JB We just got home now and pretty tired but i am going to post a link to a little incar of our drift pig, mark drove it bloody well considering, it certainly was a bit of a handful! we are rapt with it's first outing and it will only improve from here , looking forward to a few drinks at the nissan/datsun nationals with a few of you a morgan park at easter. cheers russ

looking good coop, nice mod on the pump!!! i think r33 gtr pumps look like that , no hicas pump on the power steer pump so you can swap em over.

our old car is and was registered too, and sold for alot less than 120k pretty poor form to generalize, alot of people would like to see the lotus's there again but without this " i am JESUS" kind of attitude ( I didnt realize thats what it meant on the side of the car)

thanks for the nice words guys!! i hope it can put on a good show, of course along with everyone else! i can wait to see it tearing the track up after all the work that has gone into it but as you know you cant garuantee anything when it comes to racing. the first test went well, still have plenty more to work through but the bassis is there and we have a nice big list of things to do and if we get a quarter of those done before superlap i will be happy!! i'm sorry to the guys that would like to see the car stay black (as so would i ) but there will be decals on it as we couldnt do it with out some help but hopefully should look good anyway. we have tried to do everything we have learned and some new things from some people smarter than us , so we will see if it pays off. cheers see you guys next week russ

i was talking to a nissan dealer yesterday and i was told that if items are not done when required then the warranty will be void, we were particularly talking about brakes as he saw the brakes on mine, the standard r35 brakes apparently cost around 10k for front and rear pad and rotor change, i just did my fronts for the second time for about 1700 dollars. transmission service is 1800 dollars and must be done after every track day to keep warranty or if the transmission temps get above a certain temp which of course they will be checking when the download you hard drive. great car , i absolutely love it, ( besides the paint being abit ordinary till i had an expert clean it up) but i cannot get over what some of the charges will be. i am glad i dont have to worry about warranty. would have already saved me around 20 k in brakes alone if going through the dealer.

HEY GUYS Sorry for the lack of updates, really busy getting it ready at the moment! engine has now got a basic run in tune and hoping to get it on the track this afternoon to run it in for a few kays. we are running out of time and lots still to do, so we will still be doing initial testing at oran park on saturday. i will post some more pics shortly. we have been busy trying to get undertrays and front bumper & glass etc in the car , along with dash configuration and wiring. etc etc etc. i was happy with the initial dyno start up , we had no dramas at all and it seems like boost will come on very very early, we will know shortly. cheers russ

Hey guys thanks for the comments! i cant wait to see it on track. we decided on twins after driving the r33 with a single and we just preferred the twin set up, ( with more work the single my have gotten close but we decided against spending all the time required trying) and yeah that is air jacks on the sills. hopefully the autronic ecu and assciated items go in next week ready for fire up! another pic or two cheers russ

hey guys thanks for the comments!! it's really good to hear other people's thoughts, i just love it. i hope we can do skyline guys proud & i really hope we can get it back to japan too! in the photo the car has 7.3 degrees neg camber, this will be reduced to about 4.5 for semi slicks. all going well we should be almost ready for testing in about two and a half weeks. fingers crossed

the suspension is some custom proflex should have it tomorrow! (ride height is 10 to 15 mm above what you see there) should be interesting at oran park when marks trying to keep up starts cutting curbs. phunky the wing is mounted to uprights straight off the chassis, the carbon boot wouldnt keep it up , the boot ways less than a kilo . and yep it's a c west wing. Steve unless some major issue takes place, it will be at Superlap. Hey Ben , has Mark left yet and what do ya reckon?

hey Steve The wheels are Advan RS 18 X 10's, the brakes are Alcon V8 supercar stuff, i think 385 mm. The engine 3ltr with a twin setup , and 6 speed sequential holinger box with load sensitive gearshift rpm cut. engine, box and final drive are in

Okay guys finally an update!! thought you might like to see how the r34 is coming along, still lots to do. but we have done trial body fitting, engine and gearbox are in along with front and rear crossmembers and arms, most of the electric are done. still needs suspension and engine management , all oil and fuel system etc etc etc front wheel track will come out another 30 mm yet! lots and lots of hours gone into this car already and so much more to do. hope you like.
