  1. ^^ I agree 300awkW out a rex is a lot and would cost you a bucket load, 300awkW out of GT-R is just an exhaust, PFC and N1 turbo's away.
  2. Could try JustJap maybe they'll do combined post and a few dollars off if you buy a cooler kit and a safc at the same time. No real need for buying things individually as it's easy enough with PayPal and the likes these days.

I wouldn't sue but that's me, how do you know it wasn't how you installed it or oil line mods that made the turbo fail?!?! I've got a slide hiflow, no complaints. I'm sure proportionally the amount that have failed to the amount that have not would favour heavily towards not failing. MO

  10. It's seriously not hard to figure out, a picture of the kit should do. I made up my own piping like the lm kit and I have no real experience in welding or design.

  13. What do mean by 'factory boost controller at 1 bar', the factory ones aren't adjustable. Did they do some tricky electrical mod to the solenoid to increase the duty cycle?
  14. Check the wiring with pic attached, probably something you've screwed up. Also if the safc's have an initialise feature, start it over again and pay attention to what the apexi guide says.
  15. Probably about 8k for me, but I'd like to think I got the best possible result out of what I have spent. I know I could have spent a lot more to get the same result if I didn't do the research and labour myself.
  16. You'll need bigger than a 3" system for 350awkW. Through my own stupidity (& cheapness) I've owned two x-force mufflers both sound awful, I wouldn't expect these varex mufflers to be any better. Spend the extra money on a 'decent' brand name muffler that people have had good experiences with and can control sound levels without the need for an adjustable plug.
  17. Just hook the solenoid directly up to 12V if you hear the solenoid ticking away it's working. Also clean out the gunk and built up crap around the ports, use heaps of carby cleaner and compressed air. To test if signal is getting to the solenoid run a led into the cabin from the 2 pin connector that goes to the solenoid. If the led starts to flicker when boosting the signal is getting there, if it's not something is jiggered in the screen part.

  19. Get an r32 rb25de and slot an rb30 bottom end under it, then extractors, cam regrinds, head work, high comp pistons, solid lifters, valve springs. Strip off extra weight i.e. a/c, HICAS, interior, sound deadening etc. Add coil overs, locked diff, GT-R brakes, GT-R rims with street slicks, fixed back light weight seats etc. and you're set, a tough street/track machine that would take down most stock turbos. You could pass it off as a 2ltr and race it in the 2ltr NA classes.
  20. I like the stock air boxes too, I dropped ~10rwkW when I went back to the stock air box and K&N panel. Except the dyno results were about a week apart so something could have changed. Didn't feel any difference, K&N pod was just heaps noisier.
  21. 6 months with 250rwkW = loss of 12 points, car impounded, 4 sets of rear tyres, and a day in court .
