  1. saw dark coloured R34 last night about 10pm pull into flats next door to me in Auchenflower, anyone on here? Did you move in?
  2. ROFL!! It's true, it's sad but it's soooo true.... Last night in valley saw R33 "6IRLY" parked in valley last night, GTSt with GTR kit, eyelids, lotsa stickers, chameleon paint. Is it just me or is it hellishly brave to park a skyline in the valley on a friday night all night?! I wouldn't be able to relax if I knew my car was out there....
  3. Good work getting it back man, and for my 2c I hope they pay you out too. If mine got stolen my biggest concern (being that it's insured) would be getting it back thrashed and having the insurance company try to give it back after a couple dodgy repair jobs. Much better to pick out a new one because a repaired thrashed car is NOT what you had prior to the theft, IMHO that's why we pay the exorbitant fees to insure it in the first place.
  4. Dan that really sucks, I hate thieves!!!! Mine's insured too but I'd still be beside myself if it's stolen!! If they're driving it around then maybe they're not as professional which is good news. Otherwise you'd think they would have taken it south immediately.
  5. His neighbour hahaha, man wouldn't that be hilarious if you found your neighbour taking photos of your stuff and claiming it as his own!!
  6. Hey I saw that black one when you had it on Ebay...with the wing I reckon go with this Do-Luck one...I know it's, erm "different" but personally that's why I love it (though I hated it at first)
  7. I saw some in the for sale section on www.nissansilvia.com a while ago but I can't remember if they were 300kmh ones, they were EL dials for skylines in a variety of colours though. There's some on EBay too but not up to 300.

  9. Dude no offence but that one doesn't look so hot. For 20k that'd want to be PERFECT not notchy trans and formerly damaged. I looked on Carsales for you and as far as I could see 33NIZ (who posts on this forum) had the best deal on there for this: http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!c...9&cs_trans_id=2 It's a Series II in good condition with a bunch of really sweet mods. Frankly it kicks arse compared to the one above.
  10. I definitely would buy one privately...you'll get twice the car privately as you would at a dealer for the same price. For 20 grand privately you should be looking at a decent fairly stock Series II or a nice modded Series 1. And remember - dealers are just as likely to lie to you about the car as a private seller (probably more likely actually), just as likely to sell you a lemon (warranties don't mean crap usually)...find a good private one, negotiate the price and then get an RACQ Mastercheck which will tell you if it's got mechanical troubles etc, right down to which panels have had damage, and even pedantic stuff like how well the wipers work.
  11. Not on the northside but you can give Neil Barker at Custom Brakes and Automotive a call on 3848 7788 he's very experienced. Changed my timing belt not long ago, used genuine parts etc. Couple other people here have used him for servicing and very happy.
  12. I can be pretty vain at times..
  13. Saw a chicky driving a red R33 series 2...never ever seen a red one. And not wine red, tomato sauce red!! I'd heard they came in red but in all the series 2s I've ever seen this is the first one ever. Sweet.
  14. There should be online guides and stuff plus info gained off forced induction forum etc and you should have plenty of info to go on. Otherwise any of the workshops plugged in various threads on this forum should be able to do it, or at least tell you where to get it done.
  15. THe AVC-R is esp. simple to fit ...I was going to get one and get Chris Rodgers to make me a panel so I could mount it in DIN

There must be so many aftermarket dress-up bits floating around wreckers etc in Japan for R33s - but it's amazing how few seem to make it out here on imports?

I'm not really trying to suggest anything. Just for a car of that age it looks like the interior etc especially is in extraordinary condition, and I've never seen a 93 Skyline that wasn't starting to look a little bit frayed around the edges - faded plastics, smalll wear and tear marks, cloudy headlights. But who cares - looks like you got a sweet car I haven't seen that chrome door-sill before either that looks awesome.
  18. This one's pretty good too http://www.ecubed.com/bmw/CrapBMWDelSol/

Not that I'm suggesting anything but don't you find a car that clean just liiiitle bit...I dunno....unbelievable? I reckon it is probably a very original car in good condition that's had the absolute BEJEEZUS detailed out of it. I mean you could eat your dinner out of that engine bay. Even the tyres are nicely blacked and it looks like there's not a single scratch on those 12 year old stock wheels. And the headlights....I mean don't get me wrong, that car could easily pass for only a couple years old but....just I've never seen one that clean, it's a bit wierd.
  20. Mate if you're looking at R33s take Mud up on his offer...not too many ppl would be willing to give up their free time to help a stranger find a good car The best thing you can do though is probably look at prices for a couple months before you plan to buy. What I did was spend 3 months looking at the prices of various skylines, supras etc noting the price differences between models and years so that when eventually I was ready to buy I could instantly go "ok, that's overpriced", "that's not a bad price" and then eventually "Yep that's a bloody bargain I'll take it!"

Mine's got ABS too Nice headlights... Series 2 headlights go foggy too...mine has one foggish one and one perfect one. I think the perfect one must have been a new replacement because it is...well...perfect, and the other one is...well...not. I need coffee.
  22. Saw R34 GT-R V-Spec II "WILLO" on Moggill Rd....man if you're on here tough looking car
  23. Fantasyland? Nah seriously though, shop around you'll probably find a couple hundred bucks difference between the highest and lowest quotes for four tyres. But for 20 inch you're going to pay through the nose wherever you go - the crappest rubber in the world will still cost a mint if there's 20 inches of it.
  24. I had a problem with running too much boost at one stage and the standard ecu on S2 GTS25t would cut it at about 15psi (1 bar)
