I'm having the same problem. At first I thought it was just cos I used BP Ultimate (I pulled into a service station, BP, first day I got the car in the middle of nowhere with an empty tank and I opened the fuel door and it said "Optimax Only" in big letters....) It's been happening less (I think) since I put Optimax in but it happened again yesterday, mostly sitting at lights, and once when I braked hard to give way just before a right turn and it stalled. I have an atmo BOV, is this causing it somehow? The only answer I've found to avoiding it at lights (most common time to stall) is leave a good 6 feet to the car in front, if I feel it start to stall take foot off brake and roll a couple feet forward, brings the revs up and stops it stalling. Also using handbrake at lights keeps the revs higher. Was gonna bring it up when I get the car checked over by mechanic in a couple weeks.

Can't for the life of me figure out how to turn the driving lights on. I've only had the car a few days yet, and I'm unlikely to ever use them much as it's highly inconsiderate in the city...but it's just the last switch I can't find (if the previous owner is out there, thanks for throwing the manual away).

Not that I'm in favour of neons but what the hell IS legal in Queensland? Driving a commodore basically...

I just finished all the tests on GT4P the other day...I hate GT4P and GT license tests in general... but that's how desperate I was for a little GT4 action lol...

Thanks man, I'll pay a visit to clark rubber...on another note how ridiculous is it that big trucks can pour fumes into the air at about 10 times the rate of any skyline and yet I can't have an atmo bov just in case it blows out some oil fumes once in a while... I wouldn't mind reducing the BOV sound though because although it doesn't have any enhancements to make it louder it definitely attracts attention, anyone walking along the street can hear it loud and clear when I drive past.

Maybe after being caught the first two times and losing your car overnight you'd think twice though right...? We're not talking about a little speeding here, I'm sure we're all guilty of that from time to time, but the "hooning" laws aren't applied on every Joe Citizen going 70 in a 60 zone in his company magna... If you got caught street racing twice, had your car confiscated for a period of time, doing it again *knowing* what will happen if you get caught again (which is likely to happen since you've been caught twice already) and then regretting it when you see the cop lights would be pretty bloody stupid wouldn't it? Bottom line is, if I knew I would lose my car next time I was caught I wouldn't be enough of an idiot to do it again. If this guy had got away with it, he just would have got caught some other night anyway. Whether it's right to take a person's vehicle is another point altogether I think.

Yeah bottom line is that idiots like this cause the rest of us to get pulled over and hassled just because we drive skylines sensibly...

The only mod I'm not sure about on my car is the BOV. I'm a bit of a newbie...but I think it must vent into the atmo because I've seen the same model BOV with some kind of filter attached (looks like small pod filter). But I thought BOV's were fine so long as they didn't have noise-enhancing attachments - mine isn't excessively loud or anything. Is it legal? The only other mods are brake rotors, front/rear strut braces, pod filter, 3" exhaust with 3.5 tip (regularly checked for possums) and suspension/lowered (not too low). It should all be legal right? I've not been pulled over but I've only had the car 3 days so far lol.

I might take some pics tomorrow, got a couple that the guy I bought it off took but I had to remove a few stickers...looks cleaner and classier now I didn't get it from sunnybank, got it up at caloundra. It's had a bit of respray but hasn't had any major prangs (according to the guys that checked the bodywork and stuff). I think a lot of these cars get resprays either before leaving japan or getting here, just fixing up dings and stuff I guess. I did get a bunch of useful info, esp. about removing interior panels to get a new stereo in (should be in tomorrow, listening to the engine is nice and all but it feels lonely cruising around alone with no tunes ) I'm usually cruising around auchenflower/toowong/milton/UQ area as that's where I live and play a lot....rego is 264HVI if you see me around say "hi" I've only had the car two days...man I'm so in love...I'd sleep in the garage if my girlfriend would let me. I said this to her on the first night...she thought I was kidding lol.

Well, I been lurking around these forums for a few days picking up bits of useful info here and there so I thought I should do the neighbourly thing and introduce myself... I'm from Brissy and I just bought a silver 96 R33 series II GTST. Still getting a few things sorted on the car, bit by bit as money rolls in, and the wealth of information on these forums have been invaluable! Just shows what a community can achieve helping each other eh? Well I'll be around here for a while I reckon so cheers to you all and hopefully see you on a cruise sometime soon!
