  1. and it doesn't end with GT-R's either TJ. When I went to Bathurst last year, the EVO's absolutely creamed ANYTHING in the production races - Porsches, Lambos, Lotus, HSV. The gap would close on the big straights, but the time the EVO gained up through the top of the mountain (paticularly Skyline) cancelled out any lost advantage in top speed. Was awesome to watch, and the above was often the view every single time they approached my vantage point!
  2. the thing that's always turned me off EVO's is they remind me too much of Lancers (funny that hey!). But with the right amount of tasteful exterior mods, they can look bombed...
  3. will check mah box of old goodies when i get home for ya champ. Pretty sure I still got mine. What is your current ecu doing to make you think it's faulty?

  5. Hahhahhhaa…you’re kidding me right? I don’t even turn a second glance at 90% of Skylines these days, simply due to the amount of sh*tty, flogged out, boong spec versions out there, of which most could be easily had on welfare wages.
  6. yeah it's got the rego [DEATHWSH], Black VZ SS...an animal.
  7. LNG plant Karratha. Very good spot to live, easily the pick of most other remote spots to work. Mint diving and fishing here, decent crumpet, semi decent pubs….and (believe it or not) a few pretty hot cars too. I do 4 on 1 off. Rent is horrendous though, meaning single mans camp or caravan the only viable option for most, unless you’re loaded and can afford 1K per week to rent.
  8. when I had my GT-R, Imports101 rebuilt an OS Giken twin plate for me. No probs with it at all.
  9. LNG 5 ftmfw Been here for 6 months now, best job I’ve been on since I’ve been up this way (4 yrs), good conditions, good pay and Karratha definitely the pick of the mining towns to be in, although that’s if your lucky enough to score a house. With the construction & mining industry, the old cliché “its not what you know…” applies 10 fold, and it becomes a bit of a joke. I’ve seen 18 y.o’s who’ve barely even touched a spanner get on site, simply because their old mans either a supervisor or manager. To me that’s pretty f*cked when there’s a pile of skilled blokes lining up ready to work. I know you’ve gotta start somewhere, but for me, site is not the place.
  10. Power figure?
  11. Where exactly did he 'moan', as you put it?
  12. Uh huh, trust he's looking after it Tom.
  13. Appears I sold my 32 R at the wrong time a few months back. Took a bit less than I should have, plus I still get calls for it now….just the other day a dude actually wanted to track it down through the new owner….ah well, can’t win em all
  14. Opinions sought, fellow Skyliners. Got my eye on buying a 34 GTR just after tax time, but have also been pondering if I should perhaps wait to see what impact the arrival of V35 GT-R has on the 34. Anyone think it’s going to make a big difference to the cost of the outgoing model (the R34) ????. Couple have mates have suggested it won’t make a difference for quite some time, possibly over a year.
  15. Sunway ftw. Beware though, car modification in Malaysia is expensive, therefore don’t expect to get quality bits cheap (as I found out), you will be disappointed. Nengun / Greenline is way cheaper. Went to Brothers also, looks good from the front…lol, inside lots of crap everywhere, mainly just tacky stuff to bolt onto your Proton (of which there are eleventy billion of in KL).
  16. Tuning issues such as reluctance to crank, idle, drive smoothly etc….they may not be huge “technical” issues, but they are issues all the same, and issues which don’t appear inherent on other ecu’s.
  17. For tuners, I don’t think its either political or technical, more a case of they know can achieve a lot better customer satisfaction and results with a PFC. They’d much prefer to see a customer return to spend more money than to return with tuning issues.
  18. see below snippet for difference, particularly the word 'want' would you buy an ecu that the majority of tuners have the same opinion of?
  19. I’m currently looking at getting my next import (ZJX) through C-Red, as they not only import and comply, but provide QUALITY modification work. Very impressed with the level of workmanship on what they turn out, no ‘backyard importer’ styles here.
  20. she's in the Auto Trader next week y'all so snap it up
  21. Dunno bout anyone else, but the whole “Wolf has a lot more features” thing is wearing a bit thin with me. It’s just not believable when there are very little current top running drag, track or dyno cars backing the statement up. But perhaps it's just me
  22. I used to get 450 k’s out of a tank with my old setup, but since it’s had the cams, injectors and been retuned its dropped to like 300-350 max
  23. not really dude, looking to import an Aristo V as next project.
  24. yep in Perth
  25. 1990 BNR32 Skyline GT-R Imported and complianced April 2005 (15 y.o rule) 136,XXX genuine k’s (still has original speedo) Engine: R34 N1 Turbo’s (.64 housings) Tomei stage 1 cams Tomei Adj.cam wheels Sard 800cc injectors PWR Cooler 3” Custom s/s system, with custom dumps N1 Water pump K&N Filters Oil catch can OS Giken twin plate clutch Rebuilt gearbox (12 months ago) Re-conditioned radiator Apexi Power FC (non DJ) Blitz Dual SBC Spec-R Wheels & Suspension: 17” Enkei Racelines (Custom painted Black on green pearl) Maxxis Tyres with 90% tread HR Adjustable Coilovers HICAS Lock Bar Other: Carbon Fibre bonnet (also comes with original bonnet) HKS boost gauge Sony CD / MP3 player Pioneer speakers [GUN_R32] plates, included Price: $25’000 Phone: 0414 532 561 or (08) 9185 5432 Location: Inglewood The car is in remarkable condition and certainly does not have the usual ciggie burns, holes in dash, faded paint etc. of similar examples. As I work away, I havent even done 10’000k’s since importing it nearly 2 years ago, it spends most of its life in my garage. Also, as the car was stock when it landed, every modification listed has been carried out here in Perth by Imports101 and Hyperdrive, all with receipts (Totalling 20K) The current tune is courtesy of Lumpy at Hyperdrive, netting 370rwhp at 1.2bar. It has run401rwhp @ 1.4bar on another dyno, however for safety & everyday street driving, 370 is more than adequate. Prior to having the injectors and cams installed, I ran a 12.3 at the Plex on ****ty 19” Tempe’s, so the potential for a high 11 is certainly there. Finally, the car had been for sale briefly last year, however constant timewasters made it hard for me, particularly being away up North. I am open to reasonable offers, but please, genuine interest only. More pics avail upon request. Interstate freight can be arranged if required. PM or phone me on the numbers above. Cheers, Rossco.
