Id always dreamed of being able to smoke a Gen3 of any sort, but never had the cars to do it. My Swift GTi came close, but after the first 300mtr, it was game over. When I got the gtr, however, Id had it less than 7 minutes, before I was at a red light, next to an R8 Clubbie. At first, I was nervous, the big red 5.7 rumbled away, but as soon as the light changed, my nerves turned to exhilaration as I easily chopped him, and chopped him good. Id had some good times in the GTi, but this was by far, my greatest chopping moment. Got me thinking though, Id love to hear other ppl's best chopping stories.

OK specs as follow: G707160-7 GTR Ball Bearing Replacements 375 hp N1 Comp .42 a/r turbine housing .64a/r I should mention that Im currently running stock clutch, and by the looks of ppl opinions, I should refrain from trying 1/4 times without upgrading first. For now, I think I'll work on getting a really decent tune, Im really prepared to invest a bit of $$$ in this area.

You need to take a trip to your local drag strip dude, and watch the way rex's launch, as opposed to R33 GTSt's. You may then get a better understanding of why the extra 19kw really makes f*ck all difference. What does make a difference, is the way the two cars put the power to the ground.

I believe this would be a setup, fairly typical of your average 'modded' gtr. Here's what Ive just done, to my previously stocker RB26 R34 N1's A/M Dumps s/s 700cc injectors 3" Mandrel Bend, SS Exhaust, Turbo Back Hi Flow Cat K&N Pods Wolf 3D V4 Plugin ECU That lot has pretty much chewed into my initial 'Stage One' budget, with a little left in the kitty for some dyno hours. I plan to run boost at 1.0 bar for street, and 1.2 for strip. Im just curious as to what 1/4 mile time I should expect from that? I know a lot will depend on driver, conditions, track etc. but Id just like to know a round about figure. Im hoping to go mid 11's? A bit ambitous, or very possible. Any advice is appreciated.

why bother making a comment like that, when he's merely expressing he's good past dealings with them? He never said anything about it being THE best or cheapest way of going about it, it was simply a recommendation.

With the cold start problem, would it be fair to say its a minor thing, that is easily rectified by a good tuner?, or is it an inherent thing with all Wolfs? Dee 33 - Have you experienced any cold start probs with the 33?

yes, have tried the search function. The problem is, that a lot has happened over the past 6-12 months with Wolf, and a lot of the posts in those threads are quite dated. I have, in turn, created this thread, to learn of any recent experiences ppl have had

A big part of my upgrade is going to be the ecu. Ive currently got a Wolf V4 waiting to go in, but Im hearing so many conflicting things about them, and it's kind of making me think twice about installing it. Bad on cold starts, rough idle, not enough map points etc. Ive mainly been hearing this stuff over here in WA, so Id like to hear of any other experiences with them, particularly on gtr's, and also an opinion on whether to hang onto it or sell it and get a PFC. Ive got some fine scratches on my windows, from where the seals have worn and been rubbing up against something in the door. Can anyone suggest how to get them out? I was thinking of trying polish, but dont want to make them worse, and Im unsure what to use? Any help is much appreciated
