hi just wanted to know if a stock R33 gtst series 2 computer work in a R33 gtst series 1?? i need a stock ecu, might be able to get the S2 cheaper.... jsut wanted to know if you could use it or not? are there any differences? cheers

yea well done on the firsty!! dont worry about the power, your 17, just dump it on some nice wheels, put in a decent thumping system to piss the locals off, and then jock the bitches! im sure one of your mates will have high powerd car... so you can get ur jollies off, its a lot cheaper that way!! I hate my car sometimes... no insurance, nearly no licence, no petrol, no money to blody do anything let alone get my car fixed. constantly paranoid with the police. It's nearly not worth the effort. sigh good luck with the car!

yea i just rev it 3-3.5 ish, slowly work the clutch out and then drop it like its hot once theres enough traction... i have no need to kill my car and tyres on the street... its really not worth the idiots that want to race me.... watch out for those magnas, ive nearly been ripped by one before.... also draggin in auto is stupid, unless its a 'real drag car' other than that its just stoopid

hey guys checked all the piping and made sure it was all tight... how ever my problems persistists... After mucking aroudn my with my car... i looked at the ecu and noticed that the stock ecu had been changed. i tried my car with the stock ecu but the problems were stilll happening. i think its time to see the pro's cheers guys

Hey guys.... my cars been runnign pretty bad lately... anyways, went to have a look at the ecu, and then i foudn that the stock ecu had been replaced with a RS Yamamoto... now its in the same ecu box, uses the same loom, nearly identical circut board, except one of the 2 big chips is different and looks removable... also the little test led light isnt there?? so does anyone know what this thing is??? any info would be appreciated cheers

scathing... yea thats what i thought... 16's with some ugly big walled tyres is what ill have to do... to keep the car up all i need now are some wheels/tyres.... so anybody wanna sell some wheels???

yea wel... the guy(s) that defected me didnt know it was a nissan... im from the sticks. just a question... if i put the 16's on my car.... how much will it lower the front... i have stock suspension on the back and king springs with aftermarket shocks on the front... the front bar sits 13 cm form the ground

i was lucky tho... they were only interested on the tyres.. they didnt ask to pop the bonnet. which is good! so no canary! hopefully nick gets back to me.... soon...

hey nemz. i got defected for the front right.... only because my front left was a 2nd hand tyre... it costed me $90 only because the guy only had one tyre at the shop. the 19's are too big for my liking.. i cant turn right fast, coz the guard eats away the tyre.

20 bucks hey.... ill have to consider doing that then... i was thinking going s15, coz they look kinda good, or r32 gtr. i dont wanna put the line to shame. cheers, thanks guys

Hey people i just got defected for having not enough tred on the fronts... but the rears will need replacing soon enough. i have 19" (245/35) wheels all round, got them when i baught the car, and can't afford to replace these tyres. i currently have no job, so i need tempory wheels to boot around in till i get some money, i have a mate thats gonna lend me his wheels to clear the defect. my question is, what are some good 'cheap' wheels i could use in the meantime?

hey guys. i turned the boost down so that the stock boost gauge would max out about 1 mm below the line between 0 and +7.. the car felt a little bit punchier, yet still runs like garbage. * R31Nismoid what parts of the car should i check?? would the fact that my car is running 'really rich' affect my car? the cars not bad up untill you get to 70kmph..... then it just feels like a landcruiser powered by a lawn mower... as i said before... im from the sticks, no mechanic round here would know what do to with the rb. so i do appreciate anythign said! thanks R31

* R31Nismoid what do you mean cooler piping??? leak or blockage??? if its dirty or what ever.. whats a good way to clean it?? possible to clean the cooler?? i have a un named fmic sorry to be off topic... but whats a good way to clean the afm... im sure one of you blokes would know

hey guys... ive got one of those turbo tech thingys... altho when i first boosted it, it was with a turbosmart one... yea i mean the line thats in between the +7 and 0... ill turn it down as soon as i get to my car, and see how it goes. hmm what is the minimum psi you can set it?? can it be lower than 4??? its just got me stumped... coz theres lot of people boosting their stock cars and have no trouble, one dude i know with an r33 has his on 10psi stock car... with a pod filter.... and a atmo bov... hes car is running fine, a lot better than mine!!!!

Hey paul just took for a run then... it goes above 0 and maxes at the first line still my car feels like a slug. whne i drive it... its almost as if the boost stops, like theres an empty spot. and when you change gear the boost come back only momenterly, sometimes if i keep tapping the peddal, the car goes quicker than if i were to hold it down. would it have anythign to do with the wastegate acctuator. coz from what you said, the turbo works,,, but it works strange as in duration and timing??? as you can tell i dont know lot about my car?? and no one around here does either thanks for the reply!

ok, sounds a bit better than ripping off the bottle... kicking it around till the fluid has all gone and then fill it up again... i might have a look around tomorrow! thanks for the help!

hey guys after boosting my car with a dodgy inaccurate boost gauge... im left with very little or no boost, depending on the rev rannge. the BOV (it's plumback) doesnt let off a loud high pitched PSHIII anymore the car will barely hit 80km in 2nd gear, takes ages to get there too, SLOW! im also left with car running way too rich and staling... Have any of you experienced this?? is it my turbo?? would these probs be a sign of it being blown/dead??? i live too far away from a decent mechanic, so your help would be much appreciated! cheers
