^^ to Psiker...
What's your point? I stated in my previous post to the dude what you just said. He said he had a 1.3L somewhere before, then says what a dickhead the other guy would feel knowing he (383chevy) actually had a rotary (instead of a 383 stroker)... So I brought that up. He'd already let on that he had a 13B... So concordantly, the guy probably would NOT feel like a dickhead, as it was no great surprise that 383chevy had a rotary, and not a V8...
Read carefully before you (even half-heartedly) attempt to flame someone please Psiker.
I'm not having a go at you, but I fail to see what you just attempted to do.
Or, alternatively, go to Impact Panel & Paint in Malaga. Speak to Sean Booy, the owner. His younger bro frequents these forums, and drives an R33. Very very accomplished spraypainter. I highly recommend him.
Ah crap, sorry Jason.
I guess I assume just being on the FORUM during work hours isn't worksafe... but I guess not. I'll amend the thread to reflect this.
I doubt he would, considering somewhere else you mentioned having a 1.3L and on top of that, everything you seem to say is either non-constructive, stupid, or complete bullshit. So who'd believe ANYTHING you have to say? Everyone here knows you're a troll.
I went down. Got 4 runs in before a rider fell off his motorbike. He hurt himself, but walked away. They took AGES cleaning the track, so I left before I did a 5th. I'll scan and post the timeslip later. 16.1sec, bog stock. First time ever. I met a SAU guy... DeviousDan or something. If you're reading this dude, sorry I didn't remember your name.
Speaking of tyres, if you need tyres, let me know first. I'm good mates with a tyre importer, who supplies all the Tyre-power shops, I should be able to get you a good deal.
So pauly, are you going down there this wednesday?
I'll definitely be there, if the prelude chops you, then you can race me and chop my car to make yourself feel better. It's only a stocker, so I don't mind losing to anyone... I need a baseline figure to work off before I start "da mods".
Yeah pauly, seriously, just go down, have some fun mate. Go there with an open mind, relax, try different things, and above all, have fun. No one expects you to be a pro on your first run... The whole point is going there to learn how to do it in a safe, controlled environment. I'm thinking of heading down this wednesday too. I'd be happy to run against you, considering I'm new to it too...
Really man, you got nothing to worry about. Don't listen to that Rousey/383chevy dude. The skyline/holden/ford ratio is pretty much 50/50. You'll see a LOT of Iron Masks down there...
And one blue focus.
Dude I had the same questions a couple of weeks ago. Do yourself a favour and just go.
The skill levels vary from the out and out must-be-asleep-at-the-wheel-their-reaction-time-is-so-slow to the professional elite drag racer.
I was originally worried, but seriously, you won't embarrass yourself unless something pops out the top of your hood. Go out there and have fun. It's well worth it.
Trust me when I say this: There are some seriously shit cars racing down at the 'plex, but they're having fun.
Let your tyre pressures down to 20psi.
Keep your RPM at a constant rate just before launching where you know you're just before loss of traction if you dump the clutch.
If you HAVE traction control, turn it off. You (by all accounts) should go faster without it.
Take a motorbike helmet, long sleeved jacket, jeans and shoes.
