  3. Wasn't that just a fizzer
  4. I'll be there doing something, lets hope its not wet
  5. Best racing of the weekend at Symmons was from Targa class and im not surprised that they would want it as a support race. Having said that i cant see many of the top runners from down here travel with them to do so even with the chance to drive on said tracks!!!
  6. The race is on, i have to remove old engine and put on stand to remove cams, injectors, gears and covers. Tidy up engine bay whilst its out and then when new engine arrives fit cams, injectors, gears and covers before dropping that back in. Have to fit 040, new seat/harness and harness tabs and then tune it so i can make the hill climb
  7. All good thanks mate as per above post i have another engine on its way thanks to Danny from JPC
  8. Didn't want to go RB25 as none of my parts (cams, gears, injectors etc) would fit, would need a new ecu and turbo not ideal either. I know the feeling, i order some gear for the FC from Rare Spares and they sent me the wrong items, when i rang to let them know they informed me that they didn't have what i needed instock and that it would be 12 weeks before they would have what i needed Glad to hear its all sorted, lets hope nothing else happens now
  9. Got one on the way
  10. Got one on the way
  11. New engine on the way decided it was easier than rebuilding and cost effective given the sale of the car
  12. What engine set up you going to be running big fella???
  13. Im chasing a RB20DET long motor that must be in excellent condition (closer to stock the better) i dont need gearbox, ecu/loom, turbo etc. Reply or PM Cheers Ben

  15. I'll have a look and see if i can find it. EKW have none and haven't for a while but thanks for the heads up mate.
  16. Its a pure smoke machine that has a nice knock on start up, its well and truly FUBAR, I wish it was just a fouled plug!!! I wasn't giving the car a hard time and never hit boost in it the handful of times i've driven it as it wasn't tuned 100%. It had a pretty aggressive tune on it so im told and wouldn't of taken much to do the damage that it has done. It was a stock RB20 that i dropped cams, cam gears, injectors etc into with a base tune to get the car running again for rego. Either way the engine is gone and it leaves me with a car i can't drive/sell the way it is again and this is the second time so im a little over cars at the moment!!!
  17. I lent my PFC to a mate to use in his car for a hill climb but they kept having trouble with it and it wouldn't save any changes. In the end he decided not to use it and i put it back in my car (wasn't currently driving it as it wasn't registered) i took the car to get a rego inspection (had a base tune on it when the cams were run in) so it was just drivable off boost. Unfortunately it appears it had saved changes as the injector setting were set back to stock (im running 555's) so it leaned out and went POP. Haven't pulled the engine out yet as it only happened yesterday but at a guess its a cracked/melted piston or broken ring land. Either way its FUBAR and im back to where i started 3 years ago with the car off the road with a blown motor
  18. Engine let go on the way to taking the car to get tuned yesterday so car is back off the road AGAIN and looking at options as what to do
  19. $1500+ as a minimum to make custom pistons so would rather look at a ready to go option from ACL, CP etc to try and help keep costs down. Looking into the ACL pistons at the moment, will hit up local Repco for pricing though. I was thinking about buying a long motor again and swapping everything over but you never really know what your getting, $1200+ (excluding freight) for an engine so it would be more than 2k by the time i buy everything else, freight it here and im still unsure on how many k's is on the motor, how hard a life its had and amount of boost its seen. The car has been off the road for over 3years and i've spent ALOT of money on it already, this is the second engine that has let go and so far i've driven it less than 100k's on both of them. This was my own stupid fault and cant blame anyone but myself but id rather rebuild the bottom end so i know its all fresh, tune it up and re advertise the car and chalk it up as another experience.
  20. Thanks Trent, i've already spoken to Matt from Precision International and they can only supply custom made parts so rules them out. I haven't been able to get onto the Nason site and waiting to hear back from Performance Wholesales. Will do Dan, im hoping to get away with rebuilding it for around the 3k mark
  21. Due to a cock up my engine let go on the way to getting it tuned today and i now have to rebuild the bottom end. Im struggling to find suppliers for RB20 parts mainly decent pistons. Just wondering for those of you out there that have rebuilt the bottom end who have you purchased your gear through??? Any help much appreciated Cheers Ben
  22. Over cars, that is all
  23. Now has a 3" cat back and high flow cat to go on or can keep stock cat back on for that stealth factor.
  24. SOLD
