  1. Like i said man, if you got the cash to buy the R33 chances are you can find yourself a very tidy and well modded R32 already for about the same price if not less. Take my car for example, needs a couple of little modifications done, nothing that is going to break the banl account and i have a car that is capable of some serious power, with bucket loads of torque and torque = FUN :Pimp2: I would have a look around before commiting to anything straight up, but like i said from my first post its what ever floats your boat. "Different strokes for different folks dude"
  2. I dont disagree with you at all GTRgeoff as like any car you can add on, take off and do anything that your budget permitts. But when your talking about a cheap car, auto's are never that i know been cheaper to set up than a manual car for any type of racing, drifting, or the occassional club day thrash. You say that you can add the kit, replace the cooler with another one, boost controller and fuel adjuster (which are all good price's in GB) but think of how much more money that you have just spent upgrading everything and you haven't even driven the car yet. I imported my car and i know alot of car's (mainly R32's) that people have got from Japan with all the bells and whistles on the road for under 10K. Drive it/trailor it to the track and throw some tyres on and thats all you need to do, no other pricey mods. Just my 2 cents but if our buying a car cause its cheap but then have to spend alot of money on it so you can do what you want, that cheap car doesn't sound so cheap to me anymore!!!!
  3. Proably has been reading all this and realised :chairshot
  4. What do you wnt a locked diff for??? They suck on the road if you ask me. I will have a few things from the car up for sale soon. Keep ya eyes out. Will give them a try, cheers for that.
  5. BUGGER, not good at all mate. Thats why i borrowed Griffo's gauge to see what was going on. EXTREMLY GLAD i did now The general feedback i been getting about the car has been awesome. Everyone loves the way it sounds, got to love a screamer :Pimp2:
  6. Well i figure i will run about 10-12 psi for daily driving and just wind it up for club/race days or when i want to have a bit of fun. What yours like on fuel consumption Roy???
  7. I can think of better things to spend my money on than rims. $2k+ fr wheels, give me performance mods any day of the week. I dont care how fast a set of wheels make my car look :werd:
  8. Stock cooler has been replaced with modified (cut and shut) GTR cooler. Its not a FMIC set up. ECU has no stickers on it, but was told that its an Apexi set up. WIll clarify that when i remove it and look at the back.
  9. BWAHAHAHAHAH thats a classic. Dont think to many mainlander would get that. Hell i dont think to many Tassie's will get it either :Pimp2:
  10. ANYONE???
  11. At the end of the day its what ever floats your boat really. As for drag racing then thats a different story as your going in a straight line for a short period of time. Nothing shifts quicker and smoother than an auto over the 1/4. For cruising there great, a lazy man's car at heart. For drifting i would stay away if you want to take it seriously. Very easy to do damage to an auto box while drifting if you are constantly shifting like an auto. They tend not to rev as hard with the set up on them (hold/power) which means you have to compromise on one or the other. Im personally not a fan of auto's what ever car it is, but if its a good buy and a good car then i wouldn't not look at it if i was you. But at the end of the day for what you have in mind i would be looking more towards a manual. if you got to the drift event on the weekend then have a look and see how many auto's are there  You could import something like i got and have a lot of change out of 10k mate. No need for a handbrake (as i found out at basky last week :innocent: ) for drifting. Simply select 3rd gear and plant the boot at 1bar boost and weight to grad the car when the arse end flicks out :Pimp2:
  12. Yeah it can be very preicey to get a battery changed but with the new gen 3 ipods there is no need to worry about that. I dont need it for the car as have a mp3/WMA HU anyway so its not like i can't fit enought songs on 2 or 3 discs to last me a little while, but i hear where your coming from.
  13. I got it at an excellent price and had a lot of change out of my 10K that i had budgeted. A lot of CHANGE :jump:
  14. Sounds good mate, i can't wait to finish my install off. Rain sucks and without a garage it makes it kinda hard :chairshot
  15. How good are these kits compared to all the others that i see around the traps? Im after a good quality kit that i can bolt onto my R32 GTS-t with minimal fuss and modifications but know that it will do the job and not last few a few months then give me grief.
  16. Yeah NOICE, i was thinking of getting an iPod but im looking at the Creative Zen's now instead.
  17. BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA thats priceless. I would love to see the look on the coppers face when you flick the switch and nothing happens :jump:
  18. I dont get this, everyone keeps saying that RB20's are dogs off boost, am i missing something as mine drives just as good if not better than all the other cars that i have owned??? Have had turbo's, V8's and supercharged cars in the past but nothing compares to this for all around performance in my book. :Pimp2:
  19. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA im sure it will hold up. At least there are a couple of locals willing to go in and turn it on for us to have a laugh for the weekend :Pimp2:
  20. Sounds pretty sweet
  21. Sounds pretty sweet as it is though. Im sure a new HU will finish it off nicely
  22. i wish it was that easy for me and TimmyB yesterday, took us 10 mins to get the biatch off. The clips appeared to be bent and we just couldn't get them free :chairshot
  23. being interesting to see what you get??? I have simialr mods and will be dynoing my car in the next few weeks, want 240rwk's so fingers crossed.
  24. Yeah i was talking to the guy there yesterday, they have a great range and price isn't too bad, just wondering if anyone else had delt with them and what are they like? Or is it worth getting something made up instead??? BWAHAHAHAHAHHA you should see the POD in person then, picture doesn't really give it justice :Pimp2:
  25. If its legite then HELL YEAH i would be keen on one for sure.
